Regenvest anyone?

Ho-Oh @ Assault Vest
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Brave Bird
- Sacred Fire
- Earthquake
- Zap Canon

This set is probably really bad but whatever, there isn't much left at this point. AV gives you massive sp. def so you can afford to invest fully in attack to hit harder while still tanking special hits like judgment from support arc quite easily. You easily live Xern's +2 Thunder and even live a +2 Hp rock!

+2 252+ SpA Xerneas Hidden Power Rock vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Ho-Oh: 268-316 (75.9 - 89.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 252+ SpA Xerneas Thunder vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Assault Vest Ho-Oh: 244-288 (69.1 - 81.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Last move is basically filler, you can spread paralysis and be annoying. Its really a shame Ho-oh doesn't learn u-turn...

Ho-Oh @ Leftovers
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 204 Def / 52 SpD
Impish Nature
- Roost
- Toxic
- Thunder Wave
- Sacred Fire

The Phoenix needs no words to describe its majesty.

This is a triple status Ho-oh and it could help relief sweepers and be annoying because of either one of the two moves that it carries.

congrats to the goat pokemon showdown battler queen Arushi for winning round 6 with the best ho-oh set we've ever seen!!
this weeks pokemon is

Swords Dance + Rock Polish
Mixed/Special/Physical standard Rock Polish
Standard Defensive (Toxic Rocks Dtail/Rest/Overheat/Precipice Blades/whatever this runs lol)
Some Eruption rocks or w/e u use on webs
SD Twave/Toxic Rocks
again, pls dont post any other dumb variant of the forbidden sets.
submit only one set.
deadline is friday
hf

my set btw:

Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Swords Dance
- Rest
- Fire Punch / Precipice Blades
- Sleep Talk

pretty weird set but it kinda works, its very good vs passive balance teams. Fire punch is the preferred STAB but Pblades is better if u have good flying resists on your team.

Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
- Fire Punch
- Sleep Talk
- Counter
- Roar

Mega fuck every physical attacker ever? I mean there's not much to go around when all the usable sets are forbidden and this mon has already been explored for a millennia now, so what's left are the awesome low ladder fire. Sleep talk is for the Smeargle leads, Counter KOs Ray and Marsh I guess (lol like 180 base attack stat doesn't already doesn't fuck Marsh up hard enough). Roar stops stuff from setting up on it instead of attacking which would defeat the purpose of this.

Edit: Yeah uh, Sleep Talk Counter doesn't actually work and so we'll just stick to being not complete Taunt bait. :D

Stall Breaker PDon

Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Toxic
- Stone Edge
- Precipice Blades

- Toxic to cripple any checks to SD PDon such as Groundceus, Lugia, Defensive Lunala, other Supportceus
- +2 Precipice kills everything once chipped a little, even Zygarde and Giratina will fall
- People be sleeping on SE Pdon since it's so unpopular in AG. Ho-oh (popular switch in) gets popped and defensive Yveltal dies at +2

252+ Atk Groudon-Primal Precipice Blades vs. 248 HP / 204+ Def Giratina: 181-214 (35.9 - 42.5%)
+2 252+ Atk Groudon-Primal Precipice Blades vs. 248 HP / 204+ Def Giratina: 363-427 (72.1 - 84.8%)
252+ Atk Groudon-Primal Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 174-205 (41.4 - 48.8%)
+2 252+ Atk Groudon-Primal Precipice Blades vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Zygarde: 346-408 (82.3 - 97.1%)
+2 252+ Atk Groudon-Primal Stone Edge vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Yveltal: 456-538 (100 - 117.9%)
252+ Atk Groudon-Primal Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Ho-Oh: 476-560 (114.4 - 134.6%)

That is quite the barren available setlist. No matter. You want stallbreaker Proudon that has a desire for blood? Have I got you covered.

Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 HP / 244 SpD / 8 Spe
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fissure
- Rest
- Roar
- Sleep Talk

0 Atk Groudon-Primal Fissure vs. 248 HP / 208+ Def Giratina: 504-504 (100.0 - 100.0%) -- Guaranteed OHKO after Leftovers recovery

Who needs set up when we have RNG? This set gives Groudon effectively ~14 Fissure PP, assuming we pull about 1/3 of each attack from Sleep Talk. Running calculations with our 200 IQ brains, 14 * 0.3 = ~4 kills(!). 4 kills versus stall is essentially gg. Zygarde and Giratina will hurt you no more. Zygarde can't sub up anymore and has to risk the 30%. Also acts as an amazing status absorber, as burns don't hit, Sleep Talk works well versus Spore, and Rest removes Glare-para and Toxic. This set does necessitate having Rocks up and works best on Spike-stack type teams. Any flyers or levitate mons get Roared out and get chipped by hazards. While Lugia outspeeds, it isn't ever doing anything and we have the 33% chance of neutral priority Roar. Speed is primarily for Whirlwind Ho-oh (the un-set) to phase before they do.

Notable weaknesses include Taunt Yveltal, but "Groudon can't do everything". Who even switches Yveltal into Groudon?

Groudon-Primal @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
IVs: 0 Spe
Quiet Nature
- Eruption/Fire Blast
- Precipice Blades
- Hidden Power Ice/Dragon Pulse
- Stone Edge/Solar Beam

I've used this set before on niche trick room teams and its quite decent. Eruption is insanely strong from an almost full health pdon; you can also use Fire Blast if you're worried about pdon taking too much chip as it switches in. Precipice blades is another stab move, HP ice is for zygarde and dragon pulse for mray. The last moveslot depends on wether you prefer being walled by waterceus or Ho-oh. Solar Beam puts waterceus in range of pblades, or it just kills if they switched in on an eruption from a reasonably high powered eruption. Be careful using solar beam if they have a pogre or mray, although pogre+waterceus on the same team is pretty unusual. Once on waterceus works well though, since no one is going to predict that as solar beam is pretty rare.

Pair this up with a TR setter that has a self KO move like explosion bronzong or lunar dance cress to get Pdon in safely, and proceed to deal big damage early on to pave the way for a sweeper to clean late game.

Ability: Desolate Land
EVs: 252 Atk / 100 SpD / 156 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Hone Claws
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge
- Fire Blast

Getting frustrated when those timely Pblades, Stone Edge and Fire Blast misses cost you a battle? Having difficulty deciding on accuracy vs power? You no longer have to, for I present you with mixed hone claws Pdon. Using hone claws to its fullest potential, where all three moves benefit---pblades, fire blast and stone edge. Pdon inflicts powerful damage after hone claws, two hit koing support arceus and giratina with pblades and one hit koing defensive yveltal with rocks up and obliterating defensive ho-oh with stone edge. Fire blast is used break through ferrothorn and most importantly skarmory. Adamant with 100 SpD is used over lonely and naughty nature to assure pdon takes at least one life orb earthquake from adamant mega ray and one +2 focus blast from xerneas. No longer will you have to use pblades, stone edge and fire blast with fear.

Notable Calcs:

+1 252+ Atk Groudon-Primal Stone Edge vs. 248 HP / 236+ Def Yveltal: 346-408 (76 - 89.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
+1 252+ Atk Groudon-Primal Precipice Blades vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Kyogre-Primal: 450-529 (131.9 - 155.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Wouldn't Fire Punch be better? Or is there something I'm missing?

standard sd with dtail, helps you chip stuff like zygarde, waterceus and giratina so that they're in range of +2 pblades the next time they switch in. the evs allow you to outspeed most dd zygardes and max def supportceus, max attack for power and the 84 spdef evs allow you to live a +2 fblast from geo xern from full. appreciates hazards to ensure things get in range of pblades.
