[OVERVIEW]

  • Can run 2 distinct sets, offensive and defensive allowing it to fit on a variety of teams.
  • One of the best available SD Arceus formes due to STAB Earthquake and great coverage in Stone Edge allowing it to hit the majority of the tier in just 2 slots.
  • Defensive set checks Primal Groudon reasonably well, also checks Rayquaza and Salamence in one slot.
  • Unless using it's Tectonic Rage, the SD set can lack initial power to break past certain defensive checks.
  • While the support set has the means to annoy most pokemon in some form through status and it's attacks, it can still be taken advantage of by common setup pokemon such as Xerneas and Extreme Killer.
  • Zygarde-C's presence means another prominent check to Arceus-Ground in the metagame.

Moves
========

  • Swords Dance boosts Arceus-Ground's Attack allowing it to break down defensive cores.
  • Earthquake is strong STAB with great coverage throughout the tier. If using Groundium Z then Tectonic Rage becomes available for one time use, granting a massive power boost.
  • Stone Edge hits most Ground resists and immunities hard, OHKOing Ho-oh and doing large damage to targets such as Yveltal and Salamence.
  • Recover provides Arceus-Ground with longevity and allows it perform better as an offensive check to threats such as Primal Groudon throughout the game as well as making it less vulnerable to revenge killing.
  • Extreme Speed can be used to prevent certain faster pokemon from revenge killing Arceus-Ground during it's sweep such as Deoxys-Attack and Shaymin-S.
  • Ice Beam can also be used in the last slot in order to help Arceus-Ground to break past Zygarde-C and also allows Arceus-Ground to hit Salamence more reliably than Stone Edge.

Set Details
========

  • Max Attack and Speed is the optimal spread for a physical sweeper.
  • A Jolly nature allows Arceus-Ground to speed tie opposing Arceus and Mega Salamence as well as outspeed everything below 120 base Speed.
  • Earth Plate or Groundium Z are mandatory in order to be able to use Arceus-Ground.
  • Earth Plate gives a consistent power boost of 1.2x, while Groundium Z allows a 180 Base Power Tectonic Rage to be used which can be useful in breaking walls at +2 or doing large damage to offensive threats unboosted, but Earthquake will be noticeably weaker in comparison to the Earth Plate set.

Usage Tips
========

  • Against balanced teams, Arceus-Ground tends to be most effective when setting up in the mid to late game when it's checks have been worn down or removed.
  • Common set up targets include Steel types such as

Team Options

Other Options
=============

List some options for the Pokemon user that are plausible but not always recommended due to being either not consistent enough or too outclassed by other Pokemon in the metagame.

introduction of zygarde adds another check to arc-ground in the metagame --> mention

furthermore using ice beam in lieu of other options for a 4th move allows u to help break thru it and additionally hit pkmn like mence without fear of missing.

While Primal Groudon possesses unique traits for a Ground type, fitting Arceus-Ground on a team with it can provide redundant type synergy.
what???? offensive synergy maybe if they're both attacking sets.. ?

While the support set has the means to annoy most pokemon in some form through status and it's attacks, it can still be taken advantage of by common setup pokemon such as Xerneas and Extreme Killer.
if unboosted

Defensive set checks Primal Groudon as well as almost anything, also compresses a Salamence and Rayquaza check. A support Arceus not weak to Gengar is a boon also.
huh

Wouldn't it been important to give mention to a CM set, seeing as Groundceus's targets are more defensively inclined pokemon?
