which 2 moves would give an agility lucario the best coverage? crunch+hp ice? it doesn't seem like there is a good way to get the 3 big switch ins- rotom, gliscor, and gyrados.

Why would you only use 2 attacking moves? Just go with Close Combat, Dark Pulse, and HP Ice. Gets walled by Gyarados, but you'll find a way.

I just got back into My Pokémon Ranch, and I kind of want that mew from it. At the moment I have 250 pokemon in it and about 20 more on my pearl game ( I transfered over the 250) is there a better way to get more Pokémon it it? I was thinking of starting my quest to finish my Nat. Dex but IDK if im bored enough to do that lol. I was thinking of hatching magikcarps since they have really low hatch times and I have the chance of a shiny one. Is this a good plan?

EDIT: Also I mean jsut to fill it up a bit.. Im NOT trying to get 999 from Magikarps lol
I think spam-capturing easy stuff like Bidoofs would be much quicker. They'll be got first try with a quick ball, dusk ball at night, perhaps nest ball. The only minor problem you could face is money. But a single Amulet Coined E4 run should give just over a hundred grand, enough for a hundred balls.

I have a few hundred of each ball, many repels, and about 400 grand.. I just spemmed vs seeker with the old people south of Hearthome. Thanks for the advice! =D

Another option could be Close Combat / Crunch / Ice Punch, maxing out both Spe and Atk EVs. I really want to find a way to slip Stone Edge in there, but I guess you'll have to find a way to get past Gyarados :P

When were the Platinum changes (Platinum tutor moves, new Rotom forms, etc.) implemented on the Shoddy server? I want to see the changes in usage from the D/P metagame to the Platinum one.

Hello I have been trying to test out teams for VGC and sav'ed a team to use on PBR wifi. I did everything perfectly and checked the official site for each thing to edit. However, almost all the time I try to go onto PBR wifi with my pokemon, it tells me my pokemon cannot be used. Has anyone else been getting the same problem or have any ideas on how to help me?

Thank you

PBR has some sort of hack check program, if you can't use your Pokemon means that they have some evident flaw. Check your EVs, and\or moves\ability. Also, as far as I know they use to check cartridges at VGC tourneys, and their hack check is much deeper that PBR's.

I have been kind of bored lately and thinking of RNGing alot, so might as well THINK of making a trade thread. I've seen threads with banners in them, and thought might as well start of those while im way bored at night. My question is, is there a limit to the size (height and width) they can be?

Do things like VGC hack check you whole cartridge, or just the Pokemon you're using? What I mean is, if you have hacked Pokemon on the cart, but you're not trying to use them in the championship, will you be disqualified?

I'm having the same problem, and I know everything I have is theoretically possible. Could it possibly be Platinum moves?

@cantab: I'm not sure about that, but I believe that they can detect the use of AR codes on the cartridge as long as they keep a trace on the cartridge (ie you save after you've used the cheat).

@rayquazamaster: no, Platinum moves are implemented on PBR, but I'm not sure about HG\SS new moves.

Acutally i did manage to get on once with a metwo using gravity and i have also seen youtube videos of people using sav'ed pokemon on PBR wifi with HGSS moves

but the problem is that after that one try it has never worked for me, and because it has worked for me at least once that means that they are legit? but only sometimes?

What is a solid team of 6 to run the table @ the Elite 4 in Platinum?

Basically you want a team of at least level 50-60 and covers all types and weaknesses. Maybe something like:

Empoleon
Staraptor
Roserade
Garchomp
Electivire
Rapidash

Or something similar.

What are these tricks? I've never heard of them.

I believe Misdreavus is talking about putting the Pokemon you want to level up in the daycare, finding one of the necessary tiles, and then taping down the directional button so your character constantly walks into it. Because these tiles automatically move your character back one space, you can gain an infinite amount of EXP (well, until your Pokemon reaches level 100), as long as you can provide battery power for the DS (it takes a LONG time to do this, but you don't have to actually play, meaning you can do it overnight or something).

Also, it's completely legit for those wondering, no Gameshark/Action Replay/other cheating device needed. It's not even a glitch, just a different way of power leveling.

If I have an AR'd Pokemon on a certain file if I start a new game would a VGC scan say I've hacked since there was a hack on my file before I started a new game?

I'm not 100% but I don't think so because you've wiped the game.
But I heard some VGC people just trade over their pokes onto a brand new game =/.

Oh because I currently have a friend's Gallade which I have found out he had made using Pokesav on my copy of Soul Silver which is the only DS Pokemon game I have right now. So as long as I wipe my data the game will not be scanned as a hacked one?

Yeah, if you wiped the data, it should be completely fine.
