Flygon is scarfed, so Dragonite won't be a problem. I don't have HP Grass on NY Zone, I have HP Fire. In that case, Swampert and Gliscor wall you. I will have my Scizor be scarfed, so I could probably beat Rotom-H to the punch, unless he is scarfed too. Scizor can not do anything to Rotom-A. It will be a big problem. Gliscor could generally wall them, but not do much, seeing that Gliscors carry only Earthquake, and Zone and Scizor are both immune to toxic. I have six words for you: Baton Pass, Swords Dance and Rock Polish

You will also need some Pokemon who hit hard off the bat, to stop Setup-sweepers. This means Pokemon like Rhyperior (not Rhyperior, just like him) or Choice Banders, in which case you predicting will start to be a huge factor in how you do. It is your choice.

Scizor's unboosted Pursuit against Rotom-H staying in to Overheat it doesn't even 2HKO most of the time. It does 45%-54% against a sweeper spread. It doesn't even 3HKO a defensive set.

You actually only asked for problems. Anyway, something like the wonderful mixed Metagross with Grass Knot and Ice Punch will draw out and destroy Pokemon like Swampert and Gliscor, or alternatively a special attacker like Shaymin, but this could be a problem because of a growing Fire-Type weakness. Another possibility is CBTar, which supplies immediate power and bulk, resists fire and laughs at Rotom without WOW. The only problem is that it brings many weaknesses to the table, and that SD Luke remains a problem. You could also combine the above ideas into a LO Boah set for Tar, to try to lure many of the Pokemon which would be a problem, but Luke is still a problem. To solve this, there are many counters, from a bulky Gyara set to your own Rotom.

More Effort Value questions from me! Gosh, do I feel like a noob...

1. What effect does switching out have on Effort Values? Let's say I'm battling a Machoke (2 Atk, right?), and it takes three pokemon, none of them being knocked out, to take it down. What EVs do they get?

2. How do you make an Effort Values Spread? Are there any "magic numbers" I should be aware of?

Edit: Thanks as usual, Athenodoros, but your answer doesn't nessarily clarify that for me. I was just using that Machoke thing as an example...
Still, good effort!

1) All three get 2 Att. EVs

2) Basically, you will probably add them to each stat to reach some sort of milestone. So, for instance, you will probably add Speed EVs in order to outspeed something important, and then add Attack/Sp. Att. EVs until you can KO something important (like Heatran's Att. EVs, which are just enough to KO Blissey with Explosion). After that, they will generally be dumped into HP to increase survival, or all into its main attacking stat. It realy depends on the Pokemon you are using though. As for magic numbers, look here for magic speed numbers, but other than that magic number are entirely dependant on the Pokemon, apart from 404 HP, which allows you to build 101 HP Substitutes and thus easily beat Blissey.

Well, Jason, make sure your EV stats are always divisible by 4, or you will just waste them. Athenodoros and kipp pretty much beat me to the rest.

You can always try the Smogon damage calculator and just toy around with the EVs for a bit, to see how much SpA EVs you Heatran would need to 2HKO a Starmie, for example.

does anyone know if PBR has released any patches to make the game newer/different? because i bought the game when it first game out and beat it in a day and sold it cuz i thought it was lame... i heard they made electivire and magmortar available for prizes but that was couple years ago i think... anything else happen to the game since then? cuz i was thinking about buying it again but not sure..

They were not prizes, they were events, much like the event Pokemon for the DS games. They didn't actually change anything.

Anyone know how long I would have to wait after SRing my Emerald Version to find an Adamant Shroomish with 31s and 30s in IVs? Thank you! :)

EDIT: Also, if you retire in the Emerald Battle Tower after 50 wins, does your team get Ribbons?

Hi guys, I haven't posted for a long time and I wanted to know if this shit I created is pretty good.

I played a defensive Mismagius, although I didn't use Taunt, I used Tbolt instead. Anyways, here's the deal. I'm planning on using Charge Beam on Tbolt, I don't know if it'll work cuz I haven't tried it. It's like CMing or NPing without a Sub. WoW will burn physical attackers and Pain Split will heal, Shadow Ball and Charge Beam( It's like a weak Tbolt, it is... :D) has some good points as well. What do you think?

Mismagius@Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EV: 252 HP / 80 SpA / 176 Spe
Nature: Timid Nature
~ Shadow Ball
~ Will-o-Wisp
~ Charge Beam
~ Pain Split

This sort of thing should go in the new or creative moveset thread. And is it for UU? If it is, it should be in that sub-forum.

Charge Beam after a +1 boost is weaker than Thunderbolt, and Shadow Ball can already lower the opponent's Special Defense. Also, why Pain Split without Substitute?

Yeah sure, I didn't post it there cause it will probably suck..

Yes, obviously, but with more boosts? I never get the Shadow Ball's 20% chance of lowering the opponent's SpD. Which SUCKS a lot by the way. Pain Split over Substitute cause I wanted to try something new, I wanted to sweep without Substitute. Yeah, SubCM rules, I wrecked a lot of teams with that. Other than that, it is a defensive set, remember? I would run a 252 SpA / 252 Spe if I'm planning on going offensive.

Mismagius won't exactly live long enough to get more than two boosts with Charge Beam.

Also, I meant Substitute AND Pain Split on the same set. Substitute until you get to 50% or so then Pain Split to lower the opponent's health.

I know it's a defensive set, but Mismagius doesn't exactly have the stats to be defensive (105 Special Defense sure, but 60 HP/Defense aren't helping iirc).

Then again I suck at making my own teams.

Most likely, but from what I have experienced, I got +2. I can't exactly remember how I got them but I think it's from Tentacruel, baah, that's was a long time ago.

Sorry dude, I suck at reading.. :D Yes, I strongly agree with Mismagius' defenses but sometimes it works.

Then again I suck at making my own teams.

So do I. But I made a good Hail Team once, it was a success!! SpecsBlizzard from Glaceon FTW!! 35.1% - 41.3% to Chansey!!!

for a lvl 1 smeargle endeavor set how would you be able to sketch trick room considering the -7 priority i cant think of a way to get the trick roomer to go first so smeargle can sketch it. i may just be overlooking something simple but let me know if i am

Sketch copies the last move used by the target, it doesn't have to be the same turn. Have the target use the move twice in a row, and Smeargle can copy it Turn 2.
