[OVERVIEW]

Fairy
========

Thanks to its ability in Huge Power and Aqua Jet, Azumarill can act as a powerful physical attacker for Fairy teams. It can run either a sweeping Belly Drum set or a Choice Band set to wallbreak. Azumarill can remove items and hit Pokemon like Aegislash and Slowbro with Knock Off. It can also damage Steel-types like Melmetal and Ferrothorn with Superpower. Due to its low stats and reliance on Aqua Jet, Azumarill gets revenge killed easily by any Pokemon that doesn't mind Aqua Jet, like Zarude or Tapu Lele. Its Speed leaves it slower than some defensive Pokemon like Rotom-W and Mew, letting them burn or cripple Azumarill.

[SET]
name: Belly Drum (Fairy)
move 1: Belly Drum
move 2: Aqua Jet
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: Substitute / Brick Break / Play Rough
item: Sitrus Berry
ability: Huge Power
nature: Adamant
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Belly Drum Azumarill is an effective sweeper with its STAB Aqua Jet, which lets it pick up KOs on threats like Thundurus-T, Nihilego, and Zeraora that would otherwise OHKO it. Knock Off can OHKO targets that comfortably tank Aqua Jet, like Amoonguss, Aegislash, and Gastrodon, after a Belly Drum. It also has the added utility of removing items, like Toxapex's Black Sludge or Mantine's Heavy-Duty Boots. Substitute is used to avoid status conditions and set up on defensive Pokemon like Torkoal, and defensive Aegislash when Azumarill is behind Light Screen. Brick Break can also be used, as it hits Pokemon like Melmetal for more damage. Play Rough is an option for targets that survive both Knock Off and Aqua Jet, like Hydreigon. 4 HP EVs allow Azumarill to trigger its Sitrus Berry after a Belly Drum every time. Its Speed EVs allow it to outpace most defensive Pokemon like Aegislash and Celesteela. It is a good idea to set up Belly Drum with dual screens active or in front of a passive Pokemon, since Azumarill usually only gets once chance to use it. You also don't want to use Belly Drum if Tapu Lele's Psychic Terrain will still be active, since it prevents Aqua Jet from being used.

Klefki is an invaluable teammate because of its dual screens—allowing Azumarill to set up more easily, Spikes, and Steel typing providing a Poison immunity and resistance to Ice. Spikes support is incredibly important for Azumarill, allowing it to always OHKO Pokemon like Toxapex and Ferrothorn after a Belly Drum. Clefable's utility options in Stealth Rock and Knock Off cripples foes and makes it easier for Azumarill to sweep as well. Tapu Bulu is great because it can beat Electric-types like Rotom-W and Alolan Raichu. It can revenge kill threats like Zapdos and Thundurus-T with a Choice Scarf, or break through defensive Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Toxapex with Substitute + Swords Dance. Tapu Koko is a great offensive pivot that provides STAB Thunderbolt and Dazzling Gleam to hit troublesome Water- and Dragon-types like Mantine, Toxapex, Latios, and Kyurem for Azumarill. Tapu Lele can beat Poison- and Dragon-types like Nidoking, Hydreigon, and Latias with its STAB Psyshock and Moonblast. Nasty Plot Togekiss can remove troublesome Poison- and Grass-types like Toxapex, Galarian Weezing, Ferrothorn, and Rillaboom. Other dual screens sweepers like Bulk Up Grimmsnarl and Swords Dance Mimikyu can work together with Azumarill and break down the opposing team. Both are excellent in the Ghost or Psychic matchup with their STAB, super effective, attacks and priority attacks.

[SET]
name: Choice Band (Fairy)
move 1: Liquidation
move 2: Aqua Jet
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: Superpower
item: Choice Band
ability: Huge Power
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Band Azumarill's immediate power lets it act as an effective physical wallbreaker. Liquidation hits Pokemon like Hippowdon, Heatran, and Mandibuzz. Aqua Jet allows Azumarill to occasionally revenge kill Pokemon like Excadrill, Nihilego, and Victini. Knock Off can remove items like Leftovers or Heavy-Duty Boots from opposing Pokemon, and also beats the likes of Slowking and Aegislash. Superpower lets Azumarill deal hefty damage to Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Melmetal.

Klefki is an incredible teammate, providing dual screens and a switch-in to Ice-, Grass-, and Poison-type attacks, as well as Spikes, which Azumarill heavily appreciates to pick up KOs more easily. Clefable's Stealth Rock and Knock Off are equally helpful for Azumarill. It also has access to Magic Guard, letting it act as a status absorber for Azumarill. Its Rocky Helmet allows it to chip down Pokemon like Celesteela, making it easier for Azumarill to break past them. Tapu Koko's U-turn can help Azumarill find opportunities to break through the opposing team. Choice Band Azumarill and Tapu Koko form a good offensive core, as Azumarill can beat Ground-types that come in on Tapu Koko, like Hippowdon and Excadrill, and Tapu Koko beats troublesome Dragon-, Water-, and Flying-types, like Hydreigon, Mantine, and Corviknight. Tapu Lele and Azumarill can break many defensive cores together with their powerful attacks. Tapu Lele can handle Poison- and Dragon-types like Dragalge, Toxapex, and Latios, while Azumarill can beat targets like Ferrothorn, Aegislash, and Slowking. However, Tapu Lele's Psychic Surge can sometimes prevent Azumarill from using Aqua Jet. Tapu Bulu enjoys Azumarill revenge killing Pokemon like Volcarona and Choice Scarf Blacephalon. In return, Tapu Bulu can beat Electric-type Pokemon like Rotom-W and Tapu Koko. It also beats Water-types like Mantine and Seismitoad. Togekiss beats Grass's and Poison's defensive cores with Substitute + Nasty Plot, that Azumarill has trouble breaking through. Bulk Up Grimmsnarl and Swords Dance Mimikyu are other great dual screens attackers that help beat Ghost and Psychic.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Fairy
--------
Azumarill can run a Jolly nature to outrun Pokemon like Adamant Azumarill and Rotom-W. Play Rough is an option with Choice Band too, since it hits Dragon- and Fighting-types like Kingdra and Keldeo, but is usually outclassed by a move like Knock Off, which hits more important targets.

Checks and Counters
===================

Fairy
--------
**Haze**: Pokemon like Mantine can remove Azumarill's Attack boost from Belly Drum with Haze. Unlike other setup sweepers, Azumarill usually only has one chance to set up, since it costs half of Azumarill's health.

**Status**: All status conditions greatly hamper Azumarill's ability to make progress. A burn renders its attacks much weaker, paralysis lets Pokemon like Melmetal outrun it, and being poisoned forces Azumarill to take even more residual damage on top of entry hazards and often Belly Drum.

**Revenge Killlers**: Pokemon that can outspeed Azumarill and also survive or nullify Aqua Jet, like Kyurem, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Bulu—which aren't OHKOed even at +6—are able to revenge kill Azumarill easily.

**Psychic Terrain**: Psychic Terrain from Azumarill's common teammate, Tapu Lele, prevents it from using Aqua Jet, a key part of its arsenal. This leaves it unable to KO Pokemon like Nihilego, Victini, and Nidoking.

[OVERVIEW]

Fairy
========

* Thanks to its ability, Huge Power, its ability in Huge Power and Aqua Jet, Azumarill can acts as a powerful physical attacker for Fairy teams. It can wallbreak with its Choice Band set, or sweep with its Belly Drum set. [Start off this sentence differently, say something about its versatility in sets then talk about Belly Drum THEN Choice Band. BD -> Band is more uniform since the first set being introduced in this analysis is Belly Drum]
* Its STAB Aqua Jet is nice for OHKOing threats like Victini, Nihilego, and Excadrill. Knock Off is another nice option, removing items and hitting Pokemon like Slowbro, Mantine, and Aegislash. It can also damage Steel-types like Melmetal and Ferrothorn with Superpower. [Go in detail in set on what aqua jet does. I merged it in the first sentence. Moving Knock Off line down]
* Due to its low stats and reliance on Aqua Jet, Azumarill gets revenge killed easily by any Pokemon that doesn't mind Aqua Jet, like Zarude and Tapu Lele. Additionally, Its speed leaves it slower than some defensive Pokemon like Mantine and Mew, letting them burn or cripple Azumarill. Choice Band Azumarill cares a bit less about these problems, since its Speed doesn't prevent it from wallbreaking well. [A little bit confused on this, Choice Band Azumarill hates Scald burn, Will-O-Wisp, and Knock Off. I would probably say something like ".... mew, causing them to cripple it with status moves like Haze or Will-O-Wisp.]

* (Mantine is a Speed creep. I believe it uses 96 Speed to outspeed Adamant, but then Azumarill can use Jolly and then Mantine can use something like 176 Speed. Long story short, 96/176 Speed Mantine is very specific and Speed creeps, in general, aren't allowed as shown here:
https://www.smogon.com/forums/threads/preventing-speed-creep.74787/ )

* You could replace Mantine with Rotom-Wash instead since it naturally creeps Adamant

[SET COMMENTS]
Paragraph 1:
* Belly Drum Azumarill is an effective sweeper when combined with its STAB Aqua Jet. This lets it pick of faster foes up KOes on threats like Thundurus-Therian, Excadrill, and Zeraora that would otherwise OHKO it. [Excadrill can't ohko it if its at like 75% (assuming its Belly Drummed), I wouldn't say "OHKO" it if you wanna include Excadrill maybe? Add Nihilego to these examples too]
* Knock Off can KO targets that comfortably Tank Aqua Jet, like Amoonguss, Aegislash, and Gastrodon. [After a belly drum or before? Mention its utility like you did in the overview] "Knock Off is another nice option, removing items and hitting Pokemon like Slowbro, Mantine, and Aegislash." This was your line in the overview if you wanted to merge some aspects of it
* Substitute is used to avoid status conditions and setup on defensive Pokemon like Torkaol and defensive Aegislash behind Light Screen. can help Azumarill avoid status conditions like Torkoal's Yawn and let it Belly Drum easier. [reworded, less broad and added another example.]
* Mention Brick Break
* Play Rough is an option that hits targets that live both Knock Off and Aqua Jet, like Hydreigon.
* 4 HP EVs allow Azumarill to trigger its Sitrus Berry after a Belly Drum every time.

Paragraph 2:
* Klefki is an invaluable teammate because of its dual screens allowing Azumarill to set up easier, Spikes, and Steel typing providing Poison immunity and resistance to Ice. providing a poison immunity for Azumarill and its teammates. More importantly, it sets Spikes and screens, which Azumarill can abuse to great effect, making setting up and cleaning with Belly Drum easier. [I would emphasize Spikes since its needed to successfully OHKO defensive Pokemon like pex and ferrothorn]
* Clefable's utility options in Stealth Rock to chip enemies and Knock Off to cripples foes make it easier for Azumarill to sweep as well. It can chip down Pokemon like Celesteela as well with Rocky Helmet.
* Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu is an excellent form of speed control that patches up Azumarill's Electric weakness. It and revenge kills Pokemon like Choice Specs Zapdos with Stealth Rock up and Thundurus-T. [Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu has shown a nice appearance near the finals of MWCOP, however i read this as Choice Scarf Bulu being the main set. Speed control is really nice but I feel like SD Bulu still cool on certain variants with SD + HHP. I'd do like Tapu Bulu is great for taking care of X and Y pokemon and can use SD to wallbreak through walls like Toxapex and (another example) or Choice Scarf to revenge kill X and Y]
* Tapu Koko is a great offensive pivot that provides STAB Thunderbolt and Dazzling Gleam that hit troublesome Pokemon like Mantine and Kyurem, respectively. [use: troublesome "Water- and Dragon-types" so this is less broad. I'd add Toxapex to these examples since it can Haze after its Belly Drummed and another Dragon-type]
* Tapu Lele's breaking capabilities let it soften up the opposing team [Feels like fluff, just say that it beats poison and dragons. Psychic terrain could be a little counterproductive with Aqua Jet also] for Azumarill to have an easier win path. It also beats Poison- and Dragon-type Pokemon like Hydreigon, Latias, and Nidoking.
* Nasty Plot Togekiss, Swords Dance Mimikyu, Bulk Up Grimmsnarl, and other screens abusers can work in tandem with Belly Drum Azumarill to break down the foes together behind Klefki's screens, helping in matchups like Poison and Grass, Psychic, and Ghost and Steel, respectively. [Put Togekiss in its own line and mention more examples! Togekiss getting rid of Grass and Poison-types is a huge deal. Grimmsnarl and Mimikyu feels more niche than Togekiss so you can group them but still provide some examples imo]

[SET COMMENTS]
Paragraph 1:
* Choice Band Azumarill's immediate power lets it act as an effective physical wallbreaker.
* Liquidation is Azumarill's primary STAB that hits Pokemon like Hippowdon, Heatran, and Mandibuzz.
* Aqua Jet can KO allows Azumarill to revenge kill faster Pokemon like Excadrill, Nihilego, and Victini, letting Azumarill occasionally act as a revenge killer.
* Knock Off can remove items like Leftovers or Heavy-Duty Boots [Capital D] from opposing Pokemon, and also beats the likes of Slowbro and Aegislash.
* Superpower lets Azumarill deal hefty damage to Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Melmetal.

Paragraph 2:
* While Choice Band Azumarill doesn't abuse screens as effectively as Belly Drum Azumarill, it still appreciates Klefki's ability to switch into Grass- and Poison-type attacks and Spikes that chip down foes. [This feels kind of implied and necessary to state since in the first section you say it abuses screens and in this section it doesn't. Talk about what Klefki does for azumarill and mention dual screens to allow it to survive attacks better in general rather than stating "it doesn't abuse screens"]
* Clefable's Stealth Rock and Knock off are also equally helpful for Azumarill. It also has access to Magic Guard, letting it act as a status absorber for Azumarill.
* Tapu Lele and Azumarill can break many defensive cores together with their powerful attacks. * Tapu Bulu enjoys Azumarill's ability to revenge kill Pokemon like Volcarona and Choice Scarf Blacephalon. In return, Tapu Bulu can beat Electric-type Pokemon like Rotom-W and Tapu Koko. [It beats water-types too]
* Togekiss, Grimmsnarl, and other set up sweepers all enjoy Azumarill's ability to dent the opposing team to pave the way. [This is veryyyy brief. Put Togekiss in its own sentence]
* Tapu Koko's U-turn can help Azumarill find opportunities to break through the opposing team. Choice Band Azumarill and Tapu Koko form a good offensive core, as Azumarill can beat Ground-types that come in on Tapu Koko, like Hippowdon and Excadrill, and Tapu Koko beats troublesome Dragon- and Flying-types, like Mantine, Hydreigon, and Latios. [Add Water types as something koko beats too. Move this before the togekiss line for consistency according to viability]

Fairy

* Azumarill can run a trapper set with Sap Sipper as the ability instead of Huge Power. Whirlpool and Perish Song let it trap annoying Pokemon like Mew. However, most Fairy teams appreciate Azumarill to as a breaker or sweeper rather than a trapper. [Mew can Will-O-Wisp it the turn it uses Whirlpool and then Taunt to prevent Perish Song and any form of recovery. It traps defensive Pokemon like toxapex and slowbro and grass-types because of sap sipper]
* Azumarill can run a Jolly Nature to outrun Pokemon that run Speed for Adamant Azumarill, like Mantine. like Adamant Azumarill, Tapu Fini, and Rotom-W.
* Play Rough is an option on either set, since it hits Dragon- and Fighting-types like Kingdra and Keldeo, but is usually outclassed by a move like Knock Off, which provides way more value and hits more important targets.
* Toxic on the Choice Band set punishes Pokemon like Dragonite that could otherwise switch in, but again, forces Azumarill to drop a more valuable move. [Just use Play Rough at that point]

**Mantine**: Mantine is a very specific threat that Azumarill has a hard time against, as its Water Absorb allows it to ignore Aqua Jet and Liquidation. Most Mantine run EVs to outspeed Adamant Azumarills, and can Haze Attack boosts and Roost off damage Azumarill deals to it.

**Status Conditions**: Any status condition greatly hinders Azumarill's breaking power. A burn makes its attacks deal much less damage, preventing it from picking up kills as easily. Paralysis makes it slower than even more common defensive Pokemon that can Haze or heal off Azumarill's attacks. Being slept renders it useless. Getting Poison puts Azumarill on a timer, limiting its chances to force progress against its foes.

**Faster Water Resists**: Pokemon that can outspeed Azumarill, and also live Aqua Jet, like Kyurem, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Bulu are able to revenge kill Azumarill easily.

Its speed leaves it slower than some defensive Pokemon like Mantine and Mew, letting them burn or cripple Azumarill. Choice Band Azumarill cares a bit less about these problems, since its Speed doesn't prevent it from wallbreaking well.

hey, i think you missed some of my points, like the Brick break addition and the line in the overview. You also repeated yourself in the overview
I use this method for larger checks so nothing is missed, after you go over it again lmk

* Knock Off is another nice option, removing items and hitting Pokemon like Slowbro, Mantine, and Aegislash. It can also damage Steel-types like Melmetal and Ferrothorn with Superpower.
This feels like a Set comment, I'd generalize this. (Knock Off is also not an "option")
Its speed leaves it slower than some defensive Pokemon like Mantine and Mew, letting them burn or cripple Azumarill.
Remove Mantine for Rotom-W
* Substitute is used to avoid status conditions and setup on defensive Pokemon like Torkaol and defensive Aegislash behind Light Screen. Play Rough is an option that hits targets that live both Knock Off and Aqua Jet, like Hydreigon. Brick Break can also be used, as it hits Pokemon like Melmetal for more damage.
Brick Break before Play Rough

Fix the spacing in the C&C section, looks good to me, 1/2.

- Knock Off can OHKO... also if u wanna talk about knock off removing items give a useful example of what it should knock or just remove that sentence
- if you can think of something useful for what azu outspeeds place it in the last sentence
- give a usage tip on when to setup belly drum
- you don't need to talk about lele's psychic surge in the teammates section. instead I would delete that and add that to a usage tip after the belly drum one
- cm hatt is so bad on fairy imo, also give examples of what grimm/mimikyu break for azu

choice band
[set comments]
- slowking is a better knock off example then slowbro
- for klefki screens arent really a necessary mention since its not setting up
- clefable's desc is the same as in bd, maybe mention a different part of what it does like rocky helmet breaking down phys attackers like celesteela for cb azu
- again remove cm hatt imo
- move koko up to one of the first teammates, its def more important than last mention

Fairy

Thanks to its ability in Huge Power and Aqua Jet, Azumarill can act as a powerful physical attacker for Fairy teams. It can run a few different sets, like either a sweeping Belly Drum set (RC) or a Choice Band set to wallbreak. Azumarill can remove items and hit Pokemon like Aegislash and Slowbro with Knock Off. It can also damage Steel-types like Melmetal and Ferrothorn with Superpower. Due to its low stats and reliance on Aqua Jet, though, Azumarill gets revenge killed easily by any Pokemon that doesn't mind Aqua Jet, like Zarude and or Tapu Lele. Its Speed leaves it slower than some defensive Pokemon like Rotom-W and Mew, letting them burn or cripple Azumarill.

[SET]
name: Belly Drum (Fairy)
move 1: Belly Drum
move 2: Aqua Jet
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: Substitute / Brick Break / Play Rough
item: Sitrus Berry
ability: Huge Power
nature: Adamant Nature
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Belly Drum Azumarill is an effective sweeper when combined with its STAB Aqua Jet. This lets it pick up KOes Jet, which lets it pick up KOs on threats like Thundurus-Therian, Nihilego, and Zeraora that would otherwise OHKO it. Knock Off can OHKO targets that comfortably tank Aqua Jet, like Amoonguss, Aegislash, and Gastrodon, (AC) after a Belly Drum. It also has the added utility of removing items, like Toxapex's Black Sludge or Mantine's Heavy-Duty Boots. Substitute is used to avoid status conditions and setup set up on defensive Pokemon like Torkoal, (AC) and defensive Aegislash when Azumarill is (I imagine?) behind Light Screen. Brick Break can also be used, as it hits Pokemon like Melmetal for more damage. Play Rough is an option that hits for targets that live survive both Knock Off and Aqua Jet, like Hydreigon. 4 HP EVs allow Azumarill to trigger its Sitrus Berry after a Belly Drum every time. Its speed allows Speed EVs allow it to outpace most defensive Pokemon like Aegislash or and Celesteela. It is a good idea to set up your Belly Drum with dual screens active or in front of a passive Pokemon, since Azumarill usually only gets once chance to use it. You also don't want to use Belly Drum if Tapu Lele's Psychic Terrain is will still be active, (AC) since it prevents Aqua Jet from being used.

Klefki is an invaluable teammate because of its dual screens—allowing Azumarill to set up easier, more easily, Spikes, and Steel typing providing a Poison immunity and resistance to Ice. Tapu Bulu is great since because it can beat Electric-types like Rotom-W and Raichu-A. Alolan Raichu. It can revenge kill threats like Zapdos and Thundurus-T with a Choice Scarf, or it can break through defensive Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Toxapex with Substitute + Swords Dance. (added spaces around + sign) Tapu Koko is a great offensive pivot that provides STAB Thunderbolt and Dazzling Gleam that to hit troublesome Water- and Dragon-types like Mantine, Toxapex, Latios, and Kyurem for Azumaill. Other screens abusers dual screens sweepers like Bulk Up Grimmsnarl and Swords Dance Mimikyu can work together with Azumarill and break down the opposing team. Both are excellent in the Ghost or Psychic matchup with their STAB Darkest Lariat or Shadow Claw and priority in Sucker Punch or Shadow Sneak. STAB, super effective, attacks and priority attacks.

move 2: Aqua Jet

[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Band Azumarill's immediate power lets it act as an effective physical wallbreaker. Liquidation is Azumarill's primary STAB that hits Pokemon like Hippowdon, Heatran, and Mandibuzz. Aqua Jet allows Azumarill to occasionally revenge kill Pokemon like Excadrill, Nihilego, and Victini, letting Azumarill occasionally act as a revenge killer. Knock Off can remove items like Leftovers or Heavy-Duty Boots from opposing Pokemon, and it also beats the likes of Slowking and Aegislash. Superpower lets Azumarill deal hefty damage to Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Melmetal.

Klefki is still an incredible teammate, providing an Ice, Grass, and Poison switchin, dual screens and a switch-in to Ice-, Grass-, and Poison-type attacks, as well as Spikes, which Azumarill heavily appreciates to pick up KOes easier. KOs more easily. Clefable's Stealth Rock and Knock Off are also equally helpful for Azumarill. Tapu Lele can handle Poison- and Dragon-types like Dragalge, Toxapex, and Latios, (AC) while Azumarill can beat targets like Ferrothorn, Aegislash, and Slowking. However, Tapu Lele's Psychic Surge can sometimes mess with Azumarill, preventing it prevent Azumarill from using Aqua Jet. Tapu Bulu enjoys Azumarill's ability to revenge kill Azumarill revenge killing Pokemon like Volcarona and Choice Scarf Blacephalon. In return, Tapu Bulu can beat Electric-type Pokemon like Rotom-W and Tapu Koko. It also beats Water-types like Mantine and Seismitoad. Togekiss beats Grass's and Poison's defensive cores with Substitute + Nasty Plot, (added spaces around + sign) which cores that Azumarill has trouble breaking through. Bulk Up Grimmsnarl and Swords Dance Mimikyu are other great screens abusers dual screens attackers that help beat Ghost and Psychic.

**Haze**: Pokemon like Mantine can Haze away remove Azumarill's Attack boost from Belly Drum with Haze. Unlike other set up setup sweepers, Azumarill has very limited chances to Belly Drum, usually only has one chance to set up, since it costs half of Azumarill's health.

**Status**: All status conditions greatly hamper Azumarill's ability to make progress. A burn renders its attacks much weaker, paralysis lets Pokemon like Melmetal outrun it, and being poisoned forces Azumarill to take even more chip residual damage on top of entry hazards and often Belly Drum.

**Revenge Killlers**: Pokemon that can outspeed Azumarill, and also live Azumarill and also survive or nullify Aqua Jet, like Kyurem, Tapu Lele, and Tapu Bulu—which aren't OHKOed even at +6—are able to revenge kill Azumarill easily.

**Psychic Terrain**: Tapu Lele's Psychic Surge prevents Azumarill Psychic Terrain from Azumarill's common teammate, Tapu Lele, prevents it from using Aqua Jet, a key part of its arsenal. This leaves it unable to KO Pokemon like Nihilego, Victini, and Nidoking.

[OVERVIEW]

Fairy
========

Belly Drum Azumarill is an effective sweeper with its STAB Aqua Jet, which lets it pick up KOs on threats like Thundurus-T, Nihilego, and Zeraora. Substitute is used to avoid status conditions and set up on defensive Pokemon like Torkoal and defensive Aegislash when Azumarill is behind Light Screen. The Speed EVs allow it to outpace most defensive Pokemon like Aegislash and Celesteela.

It can revenge kill threats like Zapdos and Thundurus-T with a Choice Scarf or break through defensive Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Toxapex with Substitute + Swords Dance. Both are excellent in the Ghost or Psychic matchup with their STAB, super effective attacks and priority attacks.

[SET]
name: Choice Band (Fairy)
move 1: Liquidation
move 2: Aqua Jet
move 3: Knock Off
move 4: Superpower
item: Choice Band
ability: Huge Power
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Choice Band Azumarill's immediate power lets it act as an effective physical wallbreaker. Liquidation hits Pokemon like Hippowdon, Heatran, and Mandibuzz. Aqua Jet allows Azumarill to occasionally revenge kill Pokemon like Excadrill, Nihilego, and Victini. Knock Off can remove items like Leftovers or Heavy-Duty Boots from opposing Pokemon, and it also beats the likes of Slowking and Aegislash. Superpower lets Azumarill deal hefty damage to Steel-types like Ferrothorn and Melmetal.

It also has Magic Guard, letting it act as a status absorber for Azumarill.

Other Options
=============

Fairy
--------
Azumarill can run a Jolly nature to outrun Pokemon like Adamant Azumarill and Rotom-W. Play Rough is an option with Choice Band too, since it hits Dragon- and Fighting-types like Kingdra and Keldeo, but it is usually outclassed by a move like Knock Off, which hits more important targets.
