Plan of attack "bam bam bam": Aerodactyl will attempt to stop any leads that try to set up stealth rock as it gets up its own rocks. Usually suicides itself fairly early in the game. From then on, the sweepers come on out with Cresselia making appearances to stop other sweepers. I will usually try and keep one sweeper hidden (normally it's gyarados) Rotating my guys around while hitting hard should whittle away my opponent enough for the last surviving sweeper to come in and decimate things.
Now onto the team!!
Aerodactyl (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake
The Setter-Upper. Sets up stealth rock, taunts set-up leads. Works wonders on the other stealth rock leads. Has some trouble with trick leads >-<. Stone Edge and Earthquake for decent coverage. Should I throw toxic on there to catch bulky walls or such that try and switch in?
---
Dusknoir (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/6 Def
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Pain Split
- Ice Punch
- Shadow Sneak
A fun surprise. When everyone sees dusknoir they automatically think "WALL!!!" But an offensive dusknoir is definitely a surprise and has gotten me quite a number of surprise kills.
CONCERNS: EV spread? I like the max attack, but I'm not to sure on how to utilize the other EVs to maximize survivability. Ice Punch or Thunder punch?
---
Gyarados (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 6 HP/252 Atk/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Waterfall
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
The infamous Life Orb DD Gyara. Wrecks so many teams if it gets a chance to set up. Nothing too much to say here.
---
Heracross (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Guts
EVs: 252 Atk/6 Def/252 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Close Combat
- Stone Edge
- Megahorn
- Toxic
Scarf Cross. A unbelievable revenge killer. Relatively fast, amazingly powerful.
CONCERNS: Toxic. Should I replace this with Pursuit/Night Slash? My concerns about pursuit is the power without choice band. But Night Slash is a viable option, I just need some convincing.
---
Snorlax (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 168 HP/122 Def/220 SDef
Careful nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Curse
- Return
- Rest
- Fire Punch
Fun Curselax. I opted for Return>Body Slam because once he gets a few curses in, the extra power is needed to provide that extra "oomph". Chose Fire punch over crunch and earthquake for skarmory and gengar.
CONCERNS: EVs. Are these EVs alright? I ripped them off the analysis and it provides some decent survivability but I'm not quite sure whether they are best suited for this teams needs.
---
Cresselia (F) @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP/200 Def/58 SDef
Calm nature (+SDef, -Atk)
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Icy Wind
- Thunder Wave
Cresselia. A fun fun tank to use. Especially on an offensive team. Icy wind for the definite speed lowering capability to either cause switches or helps teammates. T-wave for more prolonged and permanent effects throughout the rest of the battle. Rest and STalk for survivability.
CONCERNS: T-wave and Icy wind seem extremely redundant. Welcome to suggestions.
---
So there's the team!! Meant to be relatively fast paced. But also can attempt to stall with cress and snorlax resting.
Tear this team to bits!!!
