The score is tied again, but both the battlers are starting to run out of reinforcements... Everything goes out as planned.

Danmantican opted to send out Quetzalcoatl the Flarelm (I'll just call him Quetzal from now on, I can't be fucked otherwise..), looking to fire away at his opponent - literally. Out of his left arm comes a big seed, which blasts upon Snooker like a grenade! The Sealeo claps excitedly and asks for more... what a masochist mammal.

The Flarelm doesn't seem to refuse the appreciament, and keeps it up. Snooker makes an odd yet cute cry - probably a wail or something. Suddendly Quetzal seems less resolved. And indeed, his last blasting launch looks a bit less painful - only a bit, probably still hurt. Nevertheless, the Sealeo promptly reacts with a freezing beam which chills for a second the Flarelm's leaves before the heat revitalizes them again.

Interesting, the rift is slowly growing... nevertheless, the show must go on!

And Quetzal promptly settles the score, draining the last energies of the Sealeo before the latter can react! I like this approach...

Looks like Dogfish is down to his last stand. Which will be his choice?

The end is approaching...

... and Dogfish resorts to a pig. Odd. I feel something slightly ironic in all this... Nevertheless Dogfish seems to be serious about it. The Grumpig zaps Quetzal with a weak jolt of electricity, leaving the Flarelm crippled by vicious sparks. Despite his slowness, though, Quetzal manages to fire off a grenade-like seed from his left arm, blasting away GRUMPus.

The pig however is still up, and retaliates with a deadly mind assault which squeezes the Flarelm's thoughts violently! Quetzal attempts to heal himself back by tapping into GRUMPus' energies, but the attack doesn't seem really effective...

The Grumpig however still seems pissed off, and charges furiously, ramming mightily into the Flarelm! Quetzal tries to react, but the sparks of electricity stop him cold.

This final looks to be heated... if only they knew what awaits them.

GRUMPus sends forth shocking waves of mind energy to stun the foe. The impact is violent, but Quetzal remains unphazed and retaliates with his deadly seed artillery.

The pink pig, annoyed by the inefficacy of his attempts to cripple the enemy, charges straight and rams into the Flarelm with fierce rage. Quetzal feels the pain of the assault, and tries to remedy by tapping into the Grumpig's energies to heal his wounds.

GRUMPus backs off a little and targets once again Quetzal's head with mental whips, which though fail to flinch his opponent and prompts him to answer back with yet another blasting seed. Looks like the Grumpig is in a dire spot, now...

The brawl continues, as the two Pokémon wittle away at each other... because it's all about it, at this point. All about strife!

GRUMPus assaults the Flarelm with psychic waves, in an attempt to overcome his resolve once and for all, but all it gets in return is an explosive seed, right in his snout.

The Grumpig loses his patience and charges, slamming the fiery oak with his head. Flarelm wails in pain, and knocks the pig back with a swift kick, which although softened by all the fat GRUMPus stores in his belly, still proves to be painful.

The pink swine retaliates with yet another mind assault, but as in a sort of ping-pong match, Quetzal promptly pays it back with a seed bomb. Looks like both the contenders have been tired out, though... Outstanding.

Ending

With a last thud, the Grumpig is slammed to the ground by the last attack. Dogfish calls it back sadly and, with apparent reluctance, approaches Danmantican to congratulate him over his victory. The other trainer is going to recall his Pokémon as well, looking on his belt for the Poké Ball.
However...

What's coming from above?

draco_meteor___sazandora_by_crescent_31-d2zfv9t.png

Hydreigon, DRACO METEOR!

Dogfish and Danmantican suddendly turn their eyes up. From above, the fierce Hydreigon which was flying over the battleground is diving at blinding speed. From his three heads a meteoric swarm blasts towards the Dragonair, imbuing him into blue flames which cause him to faint.
The two trainers shake in fear and disbelief as the referee dismounts from his dragon, looking at them with a malicious smile.

2zgyq2o.jpg

"Hello, Dogfish, Danmantican", greeted them Ghetsis.
"What... what does mean this?!", cried Danmantican, looking at his fainted Dragonair.
"Isn't it obvious?", replied the referee with a cold laugh. "I'm here for your Pokémon. Hand them out!"
"W-what?!", exclamed Dogfish. "You can't...!"
"I'm sure I can, actually", commented Ghetsis, then, to his black dragon, "Hydreigon, prepare to blasts these two trainers with a Dragon Pulse!"
The two guys stared in horror as, from the three mouths, a lightning blue energy started to shape a deadly pulsing orb.

"Come on, there is no escape", added the referee, lending the two a waiting hand. "Give me your Pokémon before it's too late".
However, behind Ghetsis and his Hydreigon...

giratina.png

Suddendly, from the void vortex above, a terrifying dragon snake spawns, heading towards the two. An ominous presentment make Ghetsis turn behind for an instant.

"What the..."

Before he can say anymore, the dragon engulfs both the referee and his Pokémon in a eerie globe of shadow, dragging them back into the vortex. Dogfish and Danmantican can only hear the prolonged cry of the infamous Ghetsis before the vortex closes behind. The two trainers take a breath of relief, but at the same time wonder what will it be of the villainous referee and his monstrous Pokémon.
