Tournament Battle Spot Premier League III - Administration Thread

This thread is where important announcements/decisions for this tournament will be posted.

First and foremost, after looking at the comments in the commencement thread and signup interest of the various formats, the following things have been decided:

• Teams will be facing each other in the following formats on Pokemon Showdown:
  • SM Battle Spot Singles
  • SM Battle Spot Singles
  • SM Battle Spot Doubles
  • ORAS Battle Spot Singles
  • ORAS Battle Spot Doubles
  • GBU Singles
• Because the battles will be teamlocked best-of-three sets, players are required to open all 3 battles with the same team at once before starting their first game. This is done to help prevent players from changing the Pokemon set to gain an advantage between the games. Of course, it is still possible to cheat this system and load a slightly different team while opening the three games. Players found to be doing this will be given the loss and will be disqualified from the tournament.
• Managers can buy themselves as players for 10k. However, they must buy themselves BEFORE the draft starts (managers can tell me right before in the draft chat if they want to). Managers who did not buy themselves and have funds remaining later on in the draft will be unable to use those funds on themselves. Choose wisely.
• Teams can only trade ONE player AFTER the draft is over. There can be no trades in the middle of the auction, whether it be for a player or for funds. In order for a trade to be completed it must be accepted by both managers involved and myself. I reserve the right to stop a trade if I feel like it is gaming the system in some way that undermines the tournament.

Re: Jhon vs Feis

Jhon and Feis were playing a few hours ago and Feis disconnected during game 1 due to an emergency event IRL. Jhon waited for 15 minutes then put on the timer, making Feis lose to inactivity. Game 2 and 3 were not played.

Result:
Jhon gets the activity win game 1. Both players will send their teams they used in game 1 to me, and will play game(s) 2 and 3 with the same teams. The teamsheets will be used by me to review the replays and make sure both teams remained teamlocked during the set. This can be confirmed with certain PS admins via replays if needed be, so do NOT modify the teams.

Jhon vs Feis - Feis was unable to play after the set was put on hold mentioned above. Jhon will get the win.

I am a Rookie vs Memoric - This was a messy situation with both people's availability issues, with both players missing each other with limited availability. Despite this game mattering for the final result of the series, it will be counted as a dead game. EDIT: both managers wanted the game to be completed so ck49 was subbed over memoric and the game was played
