It's not a misplay, it's RNG manipulation

I don't even know what happened here, but somehow it was my turn to pull the comeback from down 2-0 to win a phenomenal set. Psynergy was an amazing opponent--it's a shame either of us had to lose that set--and he pushed me to my absolute limit, but somehow I managed to not fold when it looked bleak (when someone figures out how I did it, tell me so I can know too) and brought it back long enough to pull off the neat Gravity Gar stuff in Game 5.

Also, 6/6 on Bo5s going five games. Maybe this means we can have lucky number seven for a full length final?

Lame to go out to hax in back-to-back Invites, but this is not a game that is designed to always reward the better player in any given match so I'll just have to accept that things like this can always happen at the most inopportune moments. I ended up calculating the percent chance of me losing the way I did in games 2,3, and 5, and it was something like 4.7%, 0.42% and 4.95% lol.

If I had won this year's Invite, I was considering retiring from tours and focusing more on content creation and tutoring to really help give back to this community and train the next generation of BSS players. With the win, I would have accomplished everything I set out to do when I joined Smogon 2.5 years ago: competing in and winning BSSC, getting much better at BSS, and making some new friends. While I definitely accomplished the latter two goals, I'm still missing that BSSC title so there's a good chance I'll enter again next year. IRL stuff is going to start getting a lot more crazy now that I'm done with college, but I'll try to make time to be more involved in tutoring and on YT.

Hoping to see a good clean Finals at a time where I can hopefully bring you guys a good stream to watch

2nd place! Certainly better than I would have expected at the start of BSSC this year. Feels bad to get this far only to get severely defeated in the final. Congrats Greil, you certainly deserve it. Thanks to everyone that supported me and big extra special thanks to my stream famlay, you know who you are :]

One year ago today, I played in my first Bo5 set and started a weird gift and a curse thing of going five in Bo5s every single time. Not only did I not lose this time like I did to Nat on this day a year ago to go out of that Invitational, but I broke my year long curse of having to go five each time that might have cost me my hair soon. Thanks to 11oyd for a very interesting set!

I'll probably add some shout-outs and such to this post in a little while.
