"Use Signal Beam until one of you is beaten. You did a great job against Torchic-you'll get a scrumptious Move Counter for that KO after the battle."

BEGIN ROUND EIGHT

Float, on the brink of fainting, summons one last energy particle beam from her little antennae, and hits the recently sent out Ninja with a powerful Signal Beam! This hits for major damage. Ninja quickly responds with a Return, which ends the little Float's time battling. Float has fainted!

Tortferngatr, send out your next Pokemon!

"We'll save the best for last-but for now, go, Frostbite! (Snover...though we already know this.) The odds are against you-but you can still pretty easily tenderize things."

See what he is going to do with a Subsitute. If he breaks it then use return. If he does not use Focus Punch

Sub~Focus Punch~Focus Punch

When the sub is broken change Focus Punch to Return.

"Start out by using Skull Bash-it'll steel you for the punch. Step two, use Energy Ball-if that breaks the Substitute as I hope, use Leech Seed while he's still vulnerable, otherwise use Skull Bash again."

BEGIN ROUND NINE

Ninja quickly re-creates a miniature copy of itself and hides behind it, making a perfect Substitute (15 HP) for itself!Frostbite lowers his head in anticipation, getting a Skull Bash ready to pounce. Frostbite's Defense is raised by one stage. Frostbite rams into the Substitute for decent damage.

Ninja seems to be concentrating mightily while hiding behind that Substitute, so we'll see what happens in a bit. Meanwhile, Frostbite prepares a powerful Energy Ball by taking nature's power from around it. It then fires at the sub. The ball hits the center of the Substitute, scoring a CRITICAL HIT! This breaks the Sub, and Ninja is now visible. However, this doesn't prevent Ninja from carrying out its plan, as it fires off a nasty Focus Punch right at Frostbite! This scores massive damage, and Frostbite seems to be taken aback by such a powerful force.

Ninja then follows up by displaying its love for its trainer with a Return attack! This nails Frostbite for great damage! Frostbite takes this time to sprout some draining seeds from itself, and fires them at Ninja. Leech Seed! Seeds will drain damage from Ninja for six (6) turns! The Seeds take their toll!

EDIT: Whoops. For some reason, I read the boost on Return as "turn", not "round" of no damage. That's where the calc was off. Thanks for pointing that out, and the change will be made immediately. I did not give Focus Punch STAB, however. I know it is Normal / Dark.

BTW, while it seems like Frostbite is going down anyway, remember that Voodoll is a Normal/Dark Pokemon, not Fighting/Dark, and that I think the total damage was 25 (17.25 rounded for a non-STAB Focus Punch+8 for a STAB damageless Return), not 27 (which matches the calcs for the damage you got-21.75 rounded up+5.)

"Good. Frostbite, use Energy Ball, then Blizzard, then Energy Ball.

If he uses Substitute, use Skull Bash then Energy Ball."

(BTW, before Syclar gets sent out, I'd like to point out he has access to Bug Bite, Icicle Spear, and Scratch-some moves I forgot to find in Syclar's starting levelup movepool in Gen V. I'm saying this for legal reasons.)

I'm taking this over, darkslay requested that I take over

This is just a placeholder, since I doubt that I'll be able to get to this tonight, but you deserve an update

Leech Seed: 9 HP

Ninja, remembering all the fun times he's had fighting to the death with Plusle, decides to make the ref angry and starts to spam Return at Frostbite who is planing something shifty with an Arceus a few feet away. It seems as though he bribed the Arceus into swaying the hax gods for a ball of energy that hits Ninja with a crushing blow. This act of dishonesty goes unnoticed by Ninja who continues to prance around nostalgically while attacking Frostbite. Frostbite simply responds by hitting Ninja with a Blizzard to stop said prancing; despite the power of the blow, Ninja continues to make everything and everyone slightly annoyed. This last hit sends Frostbite to his knees, seemingly with 1 HP left, but it's fine as Leech Seed gives him enough energy to produce an energy ball to end the round.

not gonna lie, i'm a bit rusty with the calcs, so feel free to pm me if you see any errors

"Great job, Frostbite! Alright-you've weakened Voodoll into the range Freeze can work with-however, you might have a fighting chance if you can just avoid Voodoll long enough-Roll into the water, bob on your radish-like body while chilling, then finish Voodoll with an Energy Ball!"

AQUARIUM park, noobs. Pity I don't have Ice Shard on this thing yet, it would make life much easier.

(Also, how does Voodoll have the same energy as when he started, rather than 67-6-10-14=37? Additionally, Snover should have 6 energy left, from 23-5-7-5=6.)

yeah that energy thing is on me, sorry about that

Despite a valiant effort by Frostbite to get away from the quickly draining Ninja, he is too slow for the return that sends the little tree out of consciousness.

...In order to bump this so I can finish this battle already (it's gone on since almost the beginning of ASB), I'm sending out Plusle's last remaining mon for him, as from its last recorded state.

"Alright, Freeze. Let's Struggle Bug at it three times. You have the energy to do that, Solosis won't have the power."

in a situation that was nearly impossible to screw up, Freeze finishes Blob with a spam of Struggle Bug while Blob hopelessly fires off Psychics.

yes, i did get lazy with this
struggle bug does 15 hp and i know psychic won't be doing 45 hp no matter how you slice it (although neither got the crit/confusion)

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I get 3 RC

Both trainers get 2 TC

All Pokemon get The usual
-Freeze gets 2 KO Counters
-Float gets one KO Counter
-Ninja gets 2 KO Counters

Less lazy ending to celebrate the end of the longest-running CAP ASB match:

"Freeze, ready to finish the longest-running CAP ASB match of all time, starts creating an irritating buzzing noise. It heavily disrupts the Psychic-typed Blob.

The Solosis tries to force the Syclar's nerves to rebel against him with Psychic-but as it turns out, Plusle forgot that it according to its profile, Blob doesn't know Psychic. Not only that, but it can't even confuse-only deal special defense drops. She tries desperately to use Psycho Shock instead- but alas, it is too late. Solosis's focus drops by the minute as Syclar continues to attack with just that right frequency to disrupt her focus, and her Psycho Shock attack grows weaker against Syclar.

Brought down to her metaphorical knees, Solosis can only give a look as though to say 'I'm sorry' at her trainer as Syclar releases a final burst of disruptive sound-a Struggle Bug- at her."

Either way-good game. I look forward to challenging somebody soon...
