As the fire flickers to life, you notice what must have drawn Tera to this cave in particular - there's some circuitry and even a convenient charging port for her to plug into! Some happy buzzing, and roasted wildlife, later, everyone's feeling in good shape again, and you're ready to make preparations to properly start racing on the next day...
Well. Until you notice there's more than a little happy buzzing.

It looks like there might be some other mechanical Pokemon who set up this circuitry in the first place.

Well... It looks like at least the mechanical Pokemon don't mind you sleeping in their cave. They just wanted the charging port. Tera's going to have a bad time, but it'll have to make do...

The next morning, you wake up to find Rotom buzzing menacingly at you, and decide you've overstayed your welcome. It's freezing outside, though - your Pokegear buzzes with the notification of an Articuno sighting, but it looks like there's already a Ranger team on it. So you're left to decide if you're going to catch up with the race or just try to get back to safety, and how you'll deal with the frigid weather while doing so.

It turns out flying goes pretty fast! Even on low power, Tera's able to carry you quite quickly, and just maybe your luck has finally turned around!

When you finally land, though, mere minutes away from the destination, you're accosted by a competing Trainer who seems to have made much better time.
