Latios (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Psychic
- Surf
- Thunderbolt / Dragon Pulse

Choice Specs Latios is back and ready to drop a Draco! Latios' STAB attacks are terrifying to switch into, as most Steel-types will get blown away by its amazing coverage options. These traits combined with its stellar Speed and decent bulk render Latios a force to be reckoned with. Surf breaks Heatran and Tyranitar with ease and 2HKOes Scizor after minor chip damage. Thunderbolt nails Empoleon and Azumarill while still providing reliable neutral coverage, though Dragon Pulse offers a more spammable Dragon-type STAB move considering Draco Meteor's Special Attack drop often makes Latios hard to use for consecutive turns. Heatran and Magnezone are stellar partners, as they easily threaten the Steel-types such as Scizor and Jirachi that switch into Latios' STAB attacks. The latter is especially excellent, as it quickly traps and disposes of Empoleon, severely weakens Scizor, and pressure the Fairy-types that are immune to Draco Meteor. Scizor and Empoleon also are solid partners that absorb Ice- and Dragon-type attacks thrown at Latios. Lastly, Pokemon that can take advantage of Blissey such as Breloom and Infernape are great teammates, as it is one of the few non Steel-types that comfortably deals with Latios.

Eve said I could AM check this, so let's go!

Choice Specs Latios is back and ready to drop some Draco's ! Latios's STAB attacks are terrifying to switch into, as most Steel-types that try to switch in get blown away by its amazing coverage options. Draco Meteor dents even the sturdiest resists, and alongside Psychic makes Latios impossible hard to switch into barring Steel-types (blissey?, also this is missing one of Latios's key trait: Speed!). Surf allows Latios to break Heatran and Tyranitar with ease (this wording makes it seem like it OHKOes them or almost do, i'd change break for 2HKO), as well as break Scizor after minor chip (same). Thunderbolt nails Empoleon, Skarmory, Manaphy, and Azumarill (Latios is a premier offensive water-type check so it's very relevant) while still providing a strong neutral hit, while Dragon Pulse offers a more spammable Dragon-type STAB as Draco Meteor's SpA Special Attack drops often make it hard to use consecutively. (Dragon Pulse looks so mediocre, is it that good? I personally wouldn't have give it a full slash) Heatran and Infernape are stellar partners, as they easily threaten the Steel-types such as Scizor and Jirachi that switch into Latios's STAB attacks. Magnezone in particular is a amazing partner as it quickly traps and disposes of the Steel-types that deal with Latios heavily damage Steel-types such as Scizor, Skarmory, and Empoleon for Latios (you previously said Tios doesn't really care about Steel-types, also Zone doesn't reliably dispose of Scizor), as well as pressure the Fairy-types such as Clefable and Azumarill that are immune to Draco Meteor. Scizor and Empoleon also are solid partners as they can take the with the Ice- and Dragon-type attacks thrown at Latios. You're still quite below the 1000 words so try including something on Dragon Spam and counterplay to Blissey, those are the two first things you think about when building with Latios. I'd even remove the later point on Ice-checks (and even on magnezone) if you're lacking characters.
