[OVERVIEW]

Bibarel finds a small niche in the PU metagame as a sweeper thanks to its ability Simple, which doubles positive stat changes, in conjunction with Swords Dance, allowing Bibarel's Attack to reach high levels and letting Bibarel break past opposing Pokemon easily. Bibarel's unique STAB combination allows it to hit the majority of the tier for neutral damage, so when it is able to boost its Attack, it will always heavily damage opposing Pokemon. Unfortunately, Bibarel has very poor defensive stats, a poor Speed stat, and mediocre Attack, making it quite slow and weak without a Swords Dance boost. It faces strong competition with many offensive Water-types in the tier such as Kingler, Floatzel, and Kabutops due to them being more reliable sweepers with higher Attack and Speed stats than Bibarel. Bibarel also faces strong competition as a Normal-type wallbreaker with Kangaskhan and Zangoose, which also possess higher Attack and Speed stats. Furthermore, Bibarel is walled by the likes of Gourgeist-XL and Tangela, which can take its STAB attacks and threaten it back with strong super effective attacks.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Swords Dance, thanks to the ability Simple, allows Bibarel to boost its mediocre Attack to very high levels, allowing Bibarel to break through walls in the tier such as Weezing and Regirock. Return is a reliable STAB attack, especially when at +4. Waterfall is Bibarel's main Water-type STAB move, able to hit opposing Fire-, Rock-, and Ground-type Pokemon such as Pyroar, Aggron, and Golurk. Waterfall also allows Bibarel to hit opposing Ghost-types for neutral damage, since they are immune to Return. Aqua Jet is a priority attack that allows Bibarel to pick off weakened foes and chip faster opposing Pokemon such as Zangoose and Primeape before it goes down. Aqua Jet also allows Bibarel to chip at faster Ghost-types like Haunter and OHKO them at +4.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack EVs with an Adamant nature allow Bibarel to deal as much damage as it can after setting up a Swords Dance, and maximum Speed EVs allow Bibarel to outspeed slower Pokemon such as Adamant Alolan Sandslash and Modest Ludicolo if hail and rain are not active, respectively. Life Orb is the preferred item on Bibarel to maximize its damage output, allowing it to act as a stronger wallbreaker and sweeper, especially after a boost from Swords Dance. Simple is the best ability to use on Bibarel because Swords Dance's effect is doubled, which allows it to become a threatening wallbreaker and sweeper after one boost.

Usage Tips
========

Bibarel can switch in and set up against passive Pokemon that cannot deal much damage to it, such as Clefairy, and Pokemon it might force out, such as Aurorus and Golurk. Bibarel's best opportunity to be brought in is against weakened foes to revenge kill them with Aqua Jet. Bibarel only functions as a late-game sweeper, so it is not ideal to bring in Bibarel to set up until bulky Grass-types and faster Water-resistant Pokemon like Gourgeist-XL and Lilligant have been defeated. Bibarel should not be brought in on strong attacks due to its low defenses, as even attacks from walls such as Type: Null 2HKO Bibarel. Bibarel should only be brought into moves that it resists or is immune to, such as Alolan Dugtrio's Iron Head and Haunter's Shadow Ball. Bibarel should especially try to set up Swords Dance on Choice-locked Pokemon like Choice Scarf Haunter locked into Shadow Ball, which Bibarel is immune to, and Choice Scarf Togedemaru locked into Iron Head, which Bibarel resists. Bibarel appreciates being brought in with U-turn or on a free switch where it doesn't take any damage whatsoever.

Team Options
========

Possessing a check to Fighting-types is imperative to make sure that Bibarel can carry out its job as smoothly as possible. Mesprit is a solid option that can also bring Bibarel in against slower foes with its slow U-turn to start setting up Swords Dance. Furthermore, Mesprit is able to use Healing Wish to keep Bibarel healthy at any point of the game, and it can set Stealth Rock to chip opposing Pokemon so Bibarel can more easily sweep. Golurk is also a great teammate for Bibarel, as it is immune to Fighting and Electric, which are two of Bibarel's weaknesses. Golurk is also able to set up Stealth Rock to provide chip damage so Bibarel has an easier time wallbreaking after a Swords Dance. Furthermore, Bibarel is weak to Grass, so having some Grass-resistant Pokemon such as Skuntank and Weezing really helps Bibarel. Entry hazard removal is also very useful to improve Bibarel's survivability. Skuntank is a solid teammate that removes entry hazards and checks the Grass-types that resist Bibarel's Waterfall such as Lilligant and Alolan Exeggutor. Slow users of Volt Switch and U-turn, such as Eelektross and Volbeat, ensure that Bibarel can enter the field safely. Memento and Parting Shot support from Pokemon such as Skuntank, Alolan Persian, and Silvally-Fairy ensure that Bibarel can enter safely, somewhat mitigating its poor defensive stats. Dual screens support from Pokemon like Meowstic-M helps bolster Bibarel's lacking defenses so that it takes less damage from neutral attacks that are otherwise able to 2HKO it. Furthermore, Meowstic-M provides speed control with a Prankster-boosted Thunder Wave, which can give Bibarel more opportunities to outspeed faster threats and KO them. Meowstic-M also has access to Yawn, which gives Bibarel more opportunities to set up Swords Dance and proceed to sweep. Sticky Web support from the likes of Leavanny and Masquerain helps to counteract Bibarel's middling Speed by allowing it to outspeed faster threats, making it a better sweeper. Bibarel appreciates the help of special wallbreakers like Pyroar and Aurorus to break past bulky Grass-type Pokemon such as Gourgeist-XL that give Bibarel trouble. Bibarel, in return, is able to break past specially defensive Pokemon like Clefairy and Type: Null for them.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Normalium Z or Waterium Z along with Swords Dance allows Bibarel to have one very strong attack to deal with any opposing Pokemon. A Jolly nature can be used instead of Adamant, allowing Bibarel to outspeed Pokemon like Adamant Absol, but this overall just makes it weaker than it already is, especially before setting up. Quick Attack is an alternative priority option over Aqua Jet that is able to hit faster offensive Pokemon such as Lilligant and Jynx that can take a boosted Aqua Jet. However, opting for Quick Attack prevents Bibarel from being able to dispatch faster Ghost-types like Haunter and Oricorio-G with its priority move. Double-Edge can be used over Return for a higher damage output, but Bibarel is worn down even more quickly by using it due to the combined recoil from Double-Edge and Life Orb. The additional recoil is especially noticeable if Bibarel OHKOes a Pokemon with Double-Edge. Curse + Rest Bibarel is a set that allows Bibarel to boost its Attack and Defense by two stages at a time; by using this set with a Chesto Berry and an EV spread of 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD, Bibarel can assume the role of a bulky attacker, but it is easily checked by Pokemon like Gourgeist-XL. Furthermore, it becomes more passive without Attack investment, and faster Pokemon like Lilligant can easily set up against it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-type Pokemon like Tangela and Gourgeist-XL can easily take attacks from a set-up Bibarel and threaten it with their super effective Grass-type moves. Gourgeist-XL walls Bibarel especially well and forces Bibarel to switch out. Furthermore, faster Grass-types like Lilligant and Leafeon resist Aqua Jet and can threaten Bibarel.

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Due to its low Speed, Bibarel is outsped by many Pokemon that threaten to OHKO it such as Primeape, Togedemaru, Lilligant, Haunter, and Swanna.

**Fighting-types**: Fighting-types such as Primeape and Life Orb Hitmonchan outspeed Bibarel and OHKO with their super effective Fighting-type moves. Gurdurr is also a major threat to Bibarel, as Gurdurr is able to take it on before it sets up a Swords Dance and can also pick it off with Mach Punch.

**Priority**: Bibarel does not appreciate Sucker Punch from the likes of Absol and Skuntank, but it can play around Sucker Punch with Swords Dance and use its own priority in either Aqua Jet or Quick Attack. Bibarel is also weak to Mach Punch from Fighting-types such as Gurdurr and Hitmonchan.

I'm back baby.

[OVERVIEW]
  • Bibarel struggles to set itself apart in the PU metagame thanks to its poor defensive stats, mediocre Attack and low Speed stat.(Well what's its niche? I'd start with that and make the stats its own point)
  • It is outclassed (I prefer "has strong competition")by many offensive Water-types in the tier such as Kingler, Floatzel and Swanna, due to them just having better stats than Bibarel.(Swanna seems like an iffy comparison)
  • Bibarel is also outclassed (I still prefer "has strong competition")as a Normal-type wallbreaker by Kangaskhan and Zangoose, which possess a higher Attack and Speed stats.
  • Bibarel is walled by the likes of Gourgeist-XL, Gastrodon and Tangela, which resist its STAB and threaten it back with strong super-effective attacks.(Gastro is OHKOed by +4 Return)
  • Fortunately, with access to Swords Dance and the ability Simple, which doubles positive stat changes, Bibarel's Attack reaches high levels and it is able to break past opposing pokemon easily.(I'd move this above all the outclassing stuff/mention in the first point)
(Mention its nice Dual-STAB)

[SET]
name: Swords Dance
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Return
move 3: Waterfall
move 4: Aqua Jet
item: Life Orb
ability: Simple
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Swords Dance allows Bibarel to boost its mediocre Attack to very high levels which then allows Bibarel to break through defensive walls in the tier such as Weezing and Palossand.
  • Return is one of Bibarel's Dual-STAB that does reliable damage, especially when at +4 and is preferred over Double-Edge(Why mention Double Edge? Give is its own point or stick it in OO) as Return has no recoil damage.
  • Waterfall is Bibarel's Water-STAB move that is able to hit opposing Fire, Rock and Ground Pokemon such as Magmortar, Aggron and Claydol (I'd go with a more relevant Ground mon)respectively.
  • Aqua Jet is priority so Bibarel is able to pick off weakened foes or chip faster opposing Pokemon before it goes down.(Such as?)

Set Details
========
  • Maxed out Attack and Speed with an Adamant nature allows Bibarel to do as much damage as it can after it sets up a Swords Dance and to outspeed slower Pokemon such as Adamant Sandslash-Alola and Modest Victreebel if sun is not active.(Any better examples than Victreebel? Maybe something like Modest Ludicolo)
  • Life Orb is the preferred item on Bibarel to maximise its damage output allowing it to be a stronger wallbreaker(And sweeper), especially after one Swords Dance.
  • Simple is the main ability to use on Bibarel because Swords Dance's effect is doubled, which allows it to be a threatening wallbreaker(And sweeper) after one boost.

Usage Tips
========
  • Bibarel should be brought in and set up Swords Dance against passive Pokemon that cannot deal much damage to it, such as Clefairy and pokemon it forces out, like Aurorus and Golurk.(Watch out for Twave and Encore from Clef and coverage like Freeze-Dry)(Things like Golurk could also just stay in and go for the KO predicting the SD)
  • Bibarel should be also brought against weakened opponents to revenge kill them with a priority Aqua Jet.
  • Bibarel should not be used to set up until all of his checks have been defeated and shines best as a late game cleaner, where nothing is able to check it (Seems to be kinda overselling it), and it proceeds to OHKO the remaining opposing Pokemon.
  • Bibarel should not be brought in on any attack. Due to its low defenses, even attacks from walls such as Palossand and Type: Null 2HKO Bibarel.
  • Bibarel should only be brought into moves that it resists or is immune to, due to its Normal-typing, like Palossand's Shadow Ball or Pyroar's Fire Blast.(Still takes a lot from Fire Blast)(Also this contradicts your last point)
  • Bibarel appreciates being brought in on a U-Turn or a free switch where it doesn't take any damage whatsoever.
(That's a lotta shoulds. Also what does it wallbreak? Also also maybe mention how it can use choice locked mons like Scarf Haunter as setup fodder)

Team Options
========
  • Due to Bibarel's weakness to Fighting, having a pokemon that resists that typing is helpful to Bibarel. Mesprit is a solid option, which checks common Fighting types like Hitmonchan and Primeape, which threaten Bibarel.(You already mentioned that Fighting-types threaten it) Mesprit also possesses a slow U-Turn, which is able to bring Bibarel in against slower foes to start setting up Swords Dance.(Also gets Stealth Rock and Healing Wish)
  • Palossand is also a great teammate for Bibarel. Palossand is immune to Fighting and Electric-type moves, which covers 2 out of the 3 of Bibarel's weaknesses and is also able to set up Stealth Rock to provide chip damage for opposing Pokemon so Bibarel has an easier time to wallbreak past Pokemon after a Swords Dance.
  • Hazard removal for Bibarel is also very nice to improve Bibarel's survivability. Skuntank especially is a solid teammate for Bibarel, as Bibarel checks the Ground-type Pokemon that check Skuntank like Golurk and Mudsdale and Skuntank is able to remove hazards and is able to check the Ghost-types that are immune to Bibarel's Return like Haunter and Oricorio-Sensu.(I'd rather mention Grass-types, since Bibarel still has Waterfall for those Ghosts)
  • Slow users of Volt Switch and U-Turn, like Eelektross and Mesprit(Already mentioned Mesprit), ensure Bibarel can enter safely.
(Maybe mention Sticky Web support. Also special wallbreakers, and some more Grass checks.)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
  • Curse Bibarel with Rest is a set that allows Bibarel to boost its Defense and Attack by 2 and with the EV spread 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD and Chesto Berry, Bibarel can assume the role of a bulky attacker but it is easily checked by pokemon like Gourgeist-XL and Gastrodon. Furthermore, it becomes more passive without Attack investment and faster pokemon like Lilligant can easily set up against it.
(Maybe mention Jolly, Quick Attack, Substitute, and Double Edge(if not in set))

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Bibarel is quite a slow Pokemon and is outsped by many Pokemon which threaten to OHKO it such as Primeape and Togedemaru(Mention that they still have to watch out for priority)

**Opposing (Don't need to say opposing)Fighting types**: Opposing (Still don't need to say opposing)Fighting types such as Life Orb Hitmonchan and Primeape outspeed Bibarel and OHKO Bibarel with their super-effective Fighting type moves.

**Priority**: Bibarel is weak to Mach Punch from Gurdurr and Hitmonchan. Bibarel also does not appreciate Sucker Punch from the likes of Absol or Skuntank but Bibarel can play around Sucker Punch with Swords Dance and using its own priority in either Aqua Jet or Quick Attack.(Absol and Skunk both outspeed Bibarel, with the exception being if Absol is Adamant and Bibarel is Jolly)

**Bulky Grass Types**: Bulky Grass pokemon like Tangela and Gourgeist-XL (Cradily too, gotta diversify your examples) can easily take attacks from Bibarel, even after setting up and threaten Bibarel with their super effective Grass moves.(Faster Grass-types too cuz they resist Aqua Jet and OHKO)
Consider this AM Checked. Nevermind, now its QC 1/3. Well its still 1/3. I'm overriding Drum.

implement the above.
  • remove palossand mentions.
  • dual screens support defo deserves a mention here, since its natural bulk leaves a lot to be desired. memento support too, for the same reason. pursuit trappers as well, and i'd like to see a section about entry hazard support before removal, since the latter isn't 100% necessary.
  • mention fightinium z with superpower in oo in order to bypass stuff like ferroseed. normalium / waterium z, jolly, and curse in oo as well.
1/3, good job UberSkitty! (i forgot to say the same to you ttk, gjob)

Implemented UberSkitty's changes and your changes. Thought I kinda talked about hazard support with Mesprit and Golurk and talked about Skuntank after talking about them so I left that.

  • Waterfall is Bibarel's Water-STAB move that is able to hit opposing Fire, Rock and Ground Pokemon such as Magmortar, Aggron and Golurk respectively. (something about hitting ghost-types neutrally, since they are immune to its normal stab.)

  • Bibarel should only be brought into moves that it resists or is immune to, due to its Normal-typing, like Haunter's Shadow Ball or Dugtrio-Alola's Iron Head.
  • Bibarel should especially set up Swords Dance on choiced locked pokemon like Choice Scarf Haunter if it has used a move like Shadow Ball, which Bibarel is immune to or Choice Scarf Togedemaru if it is locked into Iron Head, which Bibarel resists and it is able to successfully able to use these pokemon as setup fodder.
  • Bibarel appreciates being brought in on a U-Turn or a free switch where it doesn't take any damage whatsoever.
  • Can also be used to wallbreak early-game.
Team Options
========
  • Due to Bibarel's weakness to Fighting, having a pokemon that resists that typing is helpful to Bibarel. Mesprit is a solid option, which checks Fighting types (slightly redundant.). Mesprit also possesses a slow U-Turn, which is able to bring Bibarel in against slower foes to start setting up Swords Dance. • Slow users of Volt Switch and U-Turn, like Eelektross and Volbeat, ensure Bibarel can enter safely.
  • Memento and Parting Shot support from pokemon like Persian-Alola and Silvally-Fairy ensure Bibarel can enter safely without taking too much damage that would hinder it from being able to sweep and this can mitigate its poor defensive stats.
  • Dual screens support from pokemon like Meowstic or Mesprit (remove mesprit mention.) helps out Bibarel's frail defensive stats and makes sure Bibarel takes less damage from neutral attacks that are able to 2HKO Bibarel. (mention that meowstic also provides speed control with twave or can create setup opportunities with yawn.)
  • Sticky Web support from the likes of Leavanny and Masquerain help to counteract Bibarel's middling Speed and allow it to outspeed faster threats and makes Bibarel a better sweeper, as it is able to outspeed more pokemon.
  • Bibarel appreciates special wallbreakers like Magmortar (rip) and Aurorus to break past physically defensive pokemon like Weezing and Gourgeist-XL, which give Bibarel trouble at being a sweeper. Bibarel in turn is able to break past specially defensive pokemon like Clefairy and Type: Null.
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
(move this way down, it's super niche imo.)
  • Jolly Bibarel is an option over Adamant Bibarel, which allows Bibarel to outspeed pokemon like Adamant Absol (leaves it weaker, though.)
  • Quick Attack is an option over Aqua Jet but this makes Bibarel unable to use priority against faster Ghost-types like Haunter and Oricorio-Sensu.
  • Double Edge can be an alternative to Return for higher amounts of damage but Bibarel is worn down even faster due to recoil from Double Edge and Life Orb recoil. The recoil is especially higher if Bibarel is able to score KOs against pokemon with Double Edge.
  • Fightinium Bibarel with Superpower is a set that is able to deal with Ferroseed, a pokemon that resists Bibarel's Dual-STAB and takes little damage from Bibarel even from a Swords Dance boost. (make this first.)
  • Normalium Z or Waterium Z along with Swords Dance allows Bibarel to have one very strong attack to deal with any opposing pokemon. (make this second.)
Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Bibarel is quite a slow Pokemon and is outsped by many Pokemon which threaten to OHKO it such as Primeape and Togedemaru. (mention more examples like lilligant, haunter, and swanna.) However, they have to keep wary of Bibarel's priority Aqua Jet when its Attack is boosted.

**Fighting types**: Fighting types such as Life Orb Hitmonchan and Primeape outspeed Bibarel and OHKO Bibarel with their super-effective Fighting type moves. (mention gurdurr here, since it can take on bibarel prior to setting up and can pick it off with mach punch.)

**Priority**: Bibarel is weak to Mach Punch from Gurdurr and Hitmonchan. Bibarel also does not appreciate Sucker Punch from the likes of Absol or Skuntank but Bibarel can play around Sucker Punch with Swords Dance and using its own priority in either Aqua Jet or Quick Attack.

**Grass Types**: Bulky Grass pokemon like Tangela and Cradily can easily take attacks from Bibarel, even after setting up and threaten Bibarel with their super effective Grass moves. Furthermore, faster Grass-types like Lilligant and Leafeon pose a threat to Bibarel and they resist Bibarel's Aqua Jet. (nothing about ferroseed, which walls bib and sets up on it.)
2/3 and stuff, good work

Regarding Quick Attack in OO, I think it's relevant to mention some noteworthy targets since it is currently described in a way that makes it seem utterly useless when compared to Aqua Jet, rather than just a useful but inferior option (aka a more appropriate use of the OO section imo). Good targets are Jynx, Lilligant, Floatzel, and Swanna, all of which are faster targets that can revenge kill Bibarel even at +4 without Quick Attack. Jynx is otherwise immune to Water and is faster, Swanna is also faster and is not OHKOed even after Stealth Rock damage with +4 Aqua Jet, Floatzel lives Aqua Jet at +4, and Lilligant also lives at +4. They all fall to boosted Quick Attack.

Good job otherwise

[OVERVIEW] spacing
Bibarel finds a small niche in the PU metagame as a wallbreaker who is able to set up Swords Dance that is not its niche, there are other SD wallbreakers like torterra and lycanroc. in fact it's not even a wallbreaker, it's a sweeper. Once you say "it finds a small niche", you should go right into the simple stuff because that is actually its niche . Thanks to its ability Simple, which doubles positive stat changes, Bibarel's Attack reaches high levels and makes it able to break past opposing pokemon easily. Bibarel's unique Dual-STAB allows it to hit the majority of the tier for neutral damage so when it is able to boost its Attack, it will always be doing damage to opposing pokemon. Unfortunately, Bibarel has very poor defensive stats, a poor Speed stat and a mediocre Attack, making it quite slow and weak without a Swords Dance boost. It has strong competition with many offensive Water-types in the tier such as Kingler, Floatzel and Kabutops, due to them just having better stats than Bibarel "just having better stats" is kinda vague, it's worth mentioning that they're more reliable at cleaning/sweeping despite not having its priority. Bibarel also has strong competition as a Normal-type wallbreaker with Kangaskhan and Zangoose, which possess higher Attack and Speed stats. Furthermore, Bibarel is walled by the likes of Gourgeist-XL, Ferroseed and Tangela, which resist its STAB and threaten it back with strong super-effective attacks.

Moves
========

Swords Dance, while being used with the ability Simple, allows Bibarel to boost its mediocre Attack to very high levels which then allows Bibarel to break through defensive walls in the tier such as Weezing and Regirock. Return is one of Bibarel's Dual-STAB that does reliable damage, especially when at +4. Waterfall is Bibarel's Water-STAB move that is able to hit opposing Fire, Rock and Ground Pokemon such as Pyroar, Aggron and Golurk respectively. Waterfall also allows Bibarel to hit opposing Ghost-types for neutral damage since they are immune to Return. Aqua Jet is priority so Bibarel is able to pick off weakened foes or chip faster opposing Pokemon before it goes down, like Zangoose or Primeape. Aqua Jet allows Bibarel to chip at faster Ghost-types like Haunter and potentially OHKO them at +4 i mean ur definitely OHKOing haunter, it's got awful phys def. this bit's just phrased really weirdly, it's for being able to OHKO faster non-water resistant things, not "chip at and potentially OHKO" them.

Set Details
========

Maxed out Attack and Speed with an Adamant nature allows Bibarel to do as much damage as it can after it sets up a Swords Dance and to outspeed slower Pokemon such as Adamant Sandslash-Alola and Modest Ludicolo if hail and rain are not active respectively. Life Orb is the preferred item on Bibarel to maximise its damage output allowing it to be a stronger wallbreaker and sweeper, especially after one Swords Dance. Simple is the main best? only? ability to use on Bibarel because Swords Dance's effect is doubled, which allows it to be a threatening wallbreaker and sweeper after one boost.

Usage Tips
========

Bibarel can be brought in and set up Swords Dance against passive Pokemon that cannot deal much damage to it, such as Clefairy and pokemon it forces out, like Aurorus and Golurk. Bibarel's best opportunity to be brought in is against weakened opponents to revenge kill them with a priority Aqua Jet. It is not ideal to bring in Bibarel to set up until all of his checks have been defeated and it is at its best as a late game cleaner, where nothing is able to check it and it proceeds to OHKO the remaining opposing Pokemon. specifically what kind of checks are u looking to eliminate? read: bulky grasses, water resistant fast things Bibarel should not be brought in on strong attacks. Due to its low defenses, even attacks from walls such as Type: Null 2HKO Bibarel. Bibarel should only be brought into moves that it resists or is immune to, due to its Normal-typing, like Haunter's Shadow Ball or Dugtrio-Alola's Iron Head. Bibarel should especially set up Swords Dance on choiced locked pokemon like Choice Scarf Haunter if it has used a move like Shadow Ball, which Bibarel is immune to or Choice Scarf Togedemaru if it is locked into Iron Head, which Bibarel resists and it is able to successfully able to use these pokemon as setup fodder. Bibarel appreciates being brought in on a U-Turn or a free switch where it doesn't take any damage whatsoever. Bibarel can also function as an early-game wallbreaker, weakening opposing pokemon for its teammates to deal with later into the game. nah. in fact i would specify, only use this late game when it's not gonna be super easy to check/counter with things that resist its priority or bulky grasses

Team Options
========

Due to Bibarel's weakness to Fighting, having a pokemon that resists that typing is helpful to Bibarel this is the most redundant sentence I've read in a long time. Mesprit is a solid option, which possesses a slow U-Turn, which is then able to bring Bibarel in against slower foes to start setting up Swords Dance. Furthermore, with access to Stealth Rock and Healing Wish, Mesprit is able to keep Bibarel healthy at any point of the game and Stealth Rock helps to chip opposing pokemon so Bibarel can do more damage. Golurk is also a great teammate for Bibarel. Golurk is immune to Fighting and Electric-type moves, which covers 2 out of the 3 of Bibarel's weaknesses and is also able to set up Stealth Rock to provide chip damage for opposing Pokemon so Bibarel has an easier time to wallbreak past Pokemon after a Swords Dance. Bibarel is also weak to Grass so having some Grass resists like Ferroseed ferroseed is a terrible grass resist. most grasses beat it, at best ur setting up 3 spikes while ur opponent also gets 3 with their own ferro and Weezing really helps Bibarel so it faces one less weakness while attempting to do its job. Hazard removal for Bibarel is also very nice to improve Bibarel's survivability. Skuntank especially is a solid teammate for Bibarel, as Bibarel checks the Ground-type Pokemon that check Skuntank like Golurk and Mudsdale bibarel is a godawful ground check, rly not worth mentioning this bit at all. it exudes next to no offensive pressure before SD and Skuntank is able to remove hazards and is able to check the Grass-types that resist Bibarel's Waterfall like Lilligant and Exeggutor-Alola. Slow users of Volt Switch and U-Turn, like Eelektross and Volbeat, ensure Bibarel can enter safely. Memento and Parting Shot support from pokemon like Persian-Alola and Silvally-Fairy ensure Bibarel can enter safely without taking too much damage that would hinder it from being able to sweep and this can mitigate its poor defensive stats. Dual screens support from pokemon like Meowstic helps out Bibarel's frail defensive stats and makes sure Bibarel takes less damage from neutral attacks that are able to 2HKO Bibarel. Furthermore, Meowstic provides speed control with a Prankster-boosted Thunder Wave, which can allow Bibarel more opportunities to outspeed faster threats and KO them and Meowstic using Yawn gives Bibarel more opportunities to set up Swords Dance and proceed to sweep. Sticky Web support from the likes of Leavanny and Masquerain help to counteract Bibarel's middling Speed and allow it to outspeed faster threats and makes Bibarel a better sweeper, as it is able to outspeed more pokemon. Bibarel appreciates special wallbreakers like Pyroar and Aurorus to break past physically defensive pokemon like Weezing and Gourgeist-XL, which give Bibarel trouble at being a sweeper you've repeatedly said bibarel SDs to break through things like weezing. maybe a diff example like ferro or somth. Bibarel in turn is able to break past specially defensive pokemon like Clefairy and Type: Null.

Fightinium Bibarel with Superpower is a set that is able to deal with Ferroseed, a pokemon that resists Bibarel's Dual-STAB and takes little damage from Bibarel even from a Swords Dance boost. Normalium Z or Waterium Z along with Swords Dance allows Bibarel to have one very strong attack to deal with any opposing pokemon. Jolly Bibarel is an option over Adamant Bibarel, which allows Bibarel to outspeed pokemon like Adamant Absol but overall just makes it weaker than it already is, especially before setting up Swords Dance. Quick Attack is an alternative priority option over Aqua Jet, which is able to hit faster offensive pokemon like Lilligant and Jynx, pokemon who are resistant to a +4 Aqua Jet but get OHKO'd by a +4 Quick Attack. However, the use of Quick Attack makes Bibarel unable to use priority against faster Ghost-types like Haunter and Oricorio-Sensu. Double Edge can be an alternative to Return for higher amounts of damage but Bibarel is worn down even faster due to recoil from Double Edge and Life Orb recoil. The recoil is especially higher if Bibarel is able to score KOs against pokemon with Double Edge. Curse Bibarel with Rest is a set that allows Bibarel to boost its Defense and Attack by 2 and with the EV spread 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD and Chesto Berry, Bibarel can assume the role of a bulky attacker but it is easily checked by pokemon like Gourgeist-XL and Gastrodon. Furthermore, it becomes more passive without Attack investment and faster pokemon like Lilligant can easily set up against it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Bibarel is quite a slow Pokemon and is outsped by many Pokemon which threaten to OHKO it such as Primeape, Togedemaru, Lilligant, Haunter and Swanna. however, some of those die to +4 Aqua jet which is no fun

**Fighting types**: Fighting types such as Life Orb Hitmonchan and Primeape outspeed Bibarel and OHKO Bibarel with their super-effective Fighting type moves. Gurdurr is also a major threat to Bibarel. It is able to take on Bibarel before it sets up a Swords Dance and is able to pick it off with Mach Punch.

**Priority**: Bibarel is weak to Mach Punch from Gurdurr and Hitmonchan you already mentioned them in the fighting type section, just stick to other stuff and expand on the last sentence a lot (like actually giving examples would be very good). Bibarel also does not appreciate Sucker Punch from the likes of Absol or Skuntank but Bibarel can play around Sucker Punch with Swords Dance and using its own priority in either Aqua Jet or Quick Attack.

move grass types to the top, they're easily the worst thing for bibarel
**Grass Types**: Bulky Grass pokemon like Tangela and Ferroseed can easily take attacks from Bibarel, even after setting up and threaten Bibarel with their super effective Grass moves. Ferroseed, especially walls Bibarel and is free to set up its hazards against it. Furthermore, faster Grass-types like Lilligant and Leafeon pose a threat to Bibarel and they resist Bibarel's Aqua Jet.

Swords Dance, while being used with the ability Simple, allows Bibarel to boost its mediocre Attack to very high levels,(AC) which then allows allowing Bibarel to break through defensive walls in the tier such as Weezing and Regirock. Return is one of Bibarel's dual Dual-STAB(RH) that does deals reliable damage, especially when at +4. Waterfall is Bibarel's Water-type STAB move, that is able to hit opposing Fire-(AH), Rock-(AH),(AC) and Ground-type(AH) Pokemon such as Pyroar, Aggron,(AC) and Golurk,(AC) respectively. Waterfall also allows Bibarel to hit opposing Ghost-types for neutral damage since they are immune to Return. Aqua Jet is acts as priority so Bibarel is able to pick off weakened foes or chip faster opposing Pokemon before it goes down,(RC) like Zangoose or Primeape. Aqua Jet allows Bibarel to chip at faster Ghost-types like Haunter and OHKO them at +4.

Bibarel is also weak to Grass, so having some Grass-resistant Pokemon like such as Skuntank and Weezing really helps Bibarel do its job. Hazard removal support is also very nice useful to improve Bibarel's survivability. Skuntank is a solid teammate that removes entry hazards and is able to checks the Grass-types that resist Bibarel's Waterfall like such as Lilligant and Alolan Exeggutor. Slow users of Volt Switch and U-turn, such as Eelektross and Volbeat, ensure that Bibarel can enter the field safely. Memento and Parting Shot support from Pokemon like such as Skuntank, Alolan Persian, and Silvally-Fairy ensure that Bibarel can enter safely, somewhat mitigating its poor defensive stats. Dual screens support from Pokemon like Meowstic-M helps bolster Bibarel's lacking defenses sure so that it takes less damage from neutral attacks that are otherwise able to 2HKO it. Bibarel appreciates the help of special wallbreakers like Pyroar and Aurorus to break past bulky Grass-type Pokemon like such as Ferroseed and Gourgeist-XL that give Bibarel trouble. Bibarel, in turn, is able to break past specially defensive Pokemon like Clefairy and Type: Null for them.

Fightinium Z Bibarel with Superpower is a set that is able to deal with Ferroseed, a Pokemon that would otherwise counter Bibarel. Quick Attack is an alternative priority option over Aqua Jet that is able to hit faster offensive Pokemon like such as Lilligant and Jynx,(RC) that can take a boosted Aqua Jet. Curse + Rest Bibarel is a set that allows Bibarel to boost its Attack and Defense by two stages at a time; by using this set with a Chesto Berry and an EV spread of 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpDef, Bibarel can assume the role of a bulky attacker, but it is easily checked by Pokemon like such as Gourgeist-XL and Gastrodon. Furthermore, it becomes more passive without Attack investment, and faster Pokemon like Lilligant can easily set up against it.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Bulky Grass-type Pokemon like Tangela and Ferroseed can easily take attacks from a set-up Bibarel, and threaten it with their super effective Grass-type moves. Ferroseed (had 2 spaces here)walls Bibarel especially well and is free to set up entry hazards against it.

[OVERVIEW]

Bibarel finds a small niche in the PU metagame as a sweeper thanks to its ability Simple, which doubles positive stat changes, (AC) in conjunction with Swords Dance, Simple allows, (AC)allowing Bibarel's Attack to reach high levels and letting Bibarel break past opposing Pokemon easily. Bibarel's unique STAB combination allows it to hit the majority of the tier for neutral damage, so when it is able to boost its Attack, it will always heavily damage be heavily damaging opposing Pokemon. Unfortunately, Bibarel has very poor defensive stats, a poor Speed stat, and (had 2 spaces here)mediocre Attack, making it quite slow and weak without a Swords Dance boost. It has faces strong competition with many offensive Water-types in the tier such as Kingler, Floatzel, and Kabutops due to them being more reliable sweepers with higher Attack and Speed stats than Bibarel. Bibarel also has faces strong competition as a Normal-type wallbreaker with Kangaskhan and Zangoose, which also possess higher Attack and Speed stats. Furthermore, Bibarel is walled by the likes of Gourgeist-XL, Ferroseed, and Tangela, which can take its STAB attacks and threaten it back with strong super effective attacks.

Moves

Swords Dance, thanks to the ability Simple, allows Bibarel to boost its mediocre Attack to very high levels, allowing Bibarel to break through walls in the tier such as Weezing and Regirock. Return is one of Bibarel's a reliable STAB attacks and deals reliable damage, (i liked your change, condensing info that also sounds weird is good, but also remember to make sure when u remove and add stuff that you remove them right!) especially when at +4. Waterfall is Bibarel's main (since you have Aqua Jet too) (yep) Water-type STAB move, able to hit opposing Fire-, Rock-, and Ground-type Pokemon such as Pyroar, Aggron, and Golurk. Waterfall also allows Bibarel to hit opposing Ghost-types for neutral damage, since they are immune to Return. Aqua Jet is a priority attack that allows Bibarel to pick off weakened foes and chip faster opposing Pokemon before it goes down, such as Zangoose and Primeape before it goes down. Aqua Jet also allows Bibarel to chip at faster Ghost-types like Haunter and OHKO them at +4.

Set Details
========

Usage Tips
========

Bibarel can switch in and set up against passive Pokemon that cannot deal much damage to it, such as Clefairy, and Pokemon it forces out, such as Aurorus and Golurk. Bibarel's best opportunity to be brought in is against weakened foes to revenge kill them with (had 2 spaces here)Aqua Jet. Bibarel only functions as a late-game sweeper (i thought you also said it was a wallbreaker at some instances in this analysis. be consistent), so it is not ideal to bring in Bibarel to set up until bulky Grass-types and faster Water-resistant Pokemon like Gourgeist-XL and Lilligant have been defeated. After all of its checks are weakened or removed, Bibarel is able to OHKO the remaining opposing Pokemon. (fluff, unless you really want to emphasize the OHKO part) (i agree with this because it's pretty much implied) Bibarel should not be brought in on strong attacks due to its low defenses, as even attacks from walls such as Type: Null 2HKO Bibarel. Bibarel appreciates being brought in with U-turn or on a free switch where it doesn't take any damage whatsoever.

very good check overall Yveltal321 , but the only big issue i could see was that like does not always have to be changed to such as. like is generally a fine substitute for such as, but there is a distinction between them: such as denotes examples, and while like also denotes examples, like means "similar to". in an example like "bibarel is checked by pokemon like ferroseed and lilligant", "like" works better than "such as", because it's saying that pokemon similar to ferroseed and lilligant check bibarel. in general, you wont ever have to change like between such as and vice versa because it's not something most people care about. everything else is great, though! excited to see you put up more in the future.
