Set Description
=============
Jellicent is one of the most versatile pokemon in generation 5 1v1. Its great movepool and typing give it some great matchups against the majority of the tier, for example being one of the very few hard snorlax counters. This set utilises mental herb to more completely fit the anti-stall role, as you beat stall pokemon with a faster taunt (such as prankster sableye). Furthermore ghost stab in shadow ball lets this set beat both mail and choice scarf variants of cressellia.
EVs
=============
The EVs on this set are designed to make this a reliable tyranitar check. The massive speed invest with timid lets you outspeed 252 speed tyranitar to burn it before it can attack you. The remaining EVs are invested fully into physical bulk to lower your chances of losing to crunch defence drops or dark gem high rolls. Jellicent is naturally very specially bulky so can win some special matchups without investment, however, this set is designed to be an anti-physical and anti-stall set.
Usage Tips
=============
The two most used sets for jellicent are mail stall and trick choice scarf. Mail is visible on preview, and therefore, most players when they see that you're not holding the mail item will predict the trick and therefore click a damaging move turn 1 in fear of being locked into status. You can use this to your advantage as you can relatively safely avoid the prediction aspect of your turn 1: if the opposing pokemon generally runs status moves you do not need to worry about playing around them until turn 2. If you see a cressellia make sure to check if it has the mail item as this should change your turn 1: if you don't see mail you should always click shadow ball turn 1 to beat trick variants, and if you do see mail you should taunt to prevent the cressellia from setting up.

Other Options
=============
As mentioned above both trick scarf and mail stall are valid options for jellicent as well as the popular sitrus berry set that adds longevity. If you remove the mental herb you should, however, switch shadow ball to scald to have chances to beat pokemon like tyranitar if they run taunt.
