Monotype Bisharp (Dark)

[OVERVIEW]

Dark
========
Swords Dance and Sucker Punch, allow Bisharp to be an effective and powerful setup sweeper, as well as a revenge killer that targets frail and fast threats such as Dragapult. Knock Off lets Bisharp remove items such as Leftovers from Ferrothorn, Choice Scarf from Ditto, and Eviolite from Porygon2. Bisharp's Steel typing comes in very handy for Dark teams, as it grants a neutrality to Fairy and allows Bisharp to take on slower Fairy-types like Clefable with Iron Head. Bisharp relies on Sucker Punch to make up for its low Speed stat, but there are threats that can OHKO Bisharp without fearing Sucker Punch such as Tapu Koko and Hydreigon.

move 3: Knock Off

[SET COMMENTS]
Swords Dance helps Bisharp break through troublesome walls such as Corviknight and Ferrothorn. Iron Head covers Fairy-types like Clefable and Dark-resistant foes such as Tyranitar. Sucker Punch makes up for Bisharp's mediocre Speed and targets faster threats such as Barraskewda and Volcarona. Maximum Speed investment helps Bisharp outspeed threats to Dark teams like Galarian Weezing and Azumarill.

Tyranitar deals with special Fire-types that Bisharp can't handle like Volcarona and sets Stealth Rock, letting Bisharp potentially activate Defiant against Defoggers such as Mantine. Similarly, Grimmsnarl's dual screens force Defog usage while also giving Bisharp an easier time setting up; Grimmsnarl also checks Fighting-types. Zarude covers Bisharp's Ground weakness and can take care of bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon as well as bulky Water-types like Tapu Fini. Weavile and Galarian Moltres pair well with Bisharp, as they can deal with threats to it such as Landorus-T and Keldeo, respectively. Hydreigon and Bisharp form a great wallbreaking core, since Hydreigon deals with foes like Corviknight and Bisharp handles Ice-types such as Choice Specs Kyurem. Mandibuzz checks Fighting- and Ground-types like Kommo-o and Excadrill while also bringing Bisharp in safely with U-turn. Sableye is another good option because it provides a Fighting immunity and it can shut down checks to Bisharp such as Corviknight with its stallbreaking set.

**Tapu Lele**: Tapu Lele's Psychic Terrain blocks Sucker Punch, and it can even OHKO Bisharp with Focus Blast or Choice Specs-boosted Moonblast.

**Substitute Users**: Faster Substitute users such as Kommo-o block Sucker Punch and take advantage of Bisharp's low Speed.

**Sucker Punch-resistant Pokemon**: Pokemon like Tapu Koko and Hydreigon can take Sucker Punch without a problem and even OHKO Bisharp with their attacking moves.

What generation/tier are you writing this for because alolan muk is in usum and national dex strictly. I assume national dex since you have tapu lele and if you are, this is the wrong sub forum. And you also reserved Bisharp not Mandibuzz

[Overview]
- Give examples of each thing you mentioned for Defiant (Defog from Corviknight and Mandibuzz, Sticky Web from Shuckle, and Intimidate from Landorus-Therian
- Don't mention Fighting mono specifically, just say it gets checked by Fighting-types. Give examples (Urshifu-R, Kommo-o)
- Its good that you mention specifically that its speed stat is bad but mention specifically that it relies on Sucker Punch for speed control and that mons like Koko and Hydreigon can outspeed and OHKO without fearing Sucker Punch
- Add that Bisharp is a good wallbreaker for Dark against Fairy, Poison, and Ice in particular (first sentence)

[Set]
- Change Focus Sash for Life Orb. Move Sash to OO (inconsistent item)

[Set Comments]
- Remove the first sentence about the "Fairy killer" thing
- Mention the moves in order of the set (SD first, Iron Head second, etc.)
- Saying Iron Head allows Bisharp to kill "most of" Fairy-types is misleading since you would always click it vs Fairy-types. Just say like "Iron Head is used to cover Fairy types like Clefable and other Dark resists such as Tyranitar."
- Instead of the Sash sentence talk about Life Orb (it's just used to boost power without locking Bisharp into a move).

- Add Grimmsnarl, Zarude, Moltres-Galar, and Weavile as teammates.
- Remove Crawdaunt (it's terrible)
- Just remove the Sableye sentence because it's a train wreck. Instead say that Tyranitar can check Fire-types (not Charizard, use Blacephalon or Volcarona as examples)
- You can add Sableye as a teammate later on but give it its own sentence. Mention that it's a secondary Fighting-type check for balance teams.

[Other Options]
- Change this to Sash. You can say what you said before about it but mention that it is reliant on hazards not being up and Bisharp being at full HP to have any use.

[Checks & Counters]
- Add specific examples to all of these. You only have examples for the last one which you already used.
- Make Substitute its own section
- Change the Psychic Terrain section to just Tapu Lele (only good setter). Mention that Specs Lele OHKOes with Moonblast while Scarf OHKOes with Focus Blast.

Bisharp is a really good wallbreaker and also acts as a setup sweeper due to its access to Swords Dance and its respectable Attack stat. Its wallbreaking ability works really well against Ice, Poison and Fairy teams. Also its ability "Defiant" is very useful due to the fact that there are many Defoggers like Corviknight,Sticky Web setters like Galvantula and Intimidate users such as Landorus-T. Nevertheless,Bisharp will be in trouble facing a Fighting-type Pokemon and can be easily checked by the likes of Kommo-o Id prob mention a different fighter like gapdos or shifu, kommoo is a bit less relevant. Its speed stat is also something to be concerned about and it relies on Sucker Punch for speed control. However there are threats that can outspeed and OHKO Bisharp without fearing Sucker Punch such as Tapu Koko and Hydreigon.

For every dark team, Bisharp is a valuable member because it can check Fairy and Bug threats thanks to its typing. either give examples or remove this sentence entirely, since most fairy types like lele/koko u dont check at all due to ur poor bulk. same goes for bugs asw. Swords Dance is there to boost Bisharp's already high Attack stat, becoming a serious attacking threat. Iron Head is Bisharp's STAB move and it is used to cover Fairy-types like Clefable and Dark resists such as Tyranitar. Knock off allows Bisharp to remove annoying items from walls such as Leftovers from Ferrothorn, Eviolite from Porygon2 and Black Sludge from Toxapex. Sucker Punch is the move that makes up for Bisharp's lack of speed, being a priority move and a pretty strong one killing fragile faster threats such as Barraskewda and Gengar with Focus Blast. Life Orb is used to boost Bisharp's attacking power without locking it into one move. Max investment in Attack, with Adamant nature and 252 Atk EVs,is what Bisharp needs and with 252 Speed, Bisharp is able to outspeed major threats such as Belly Drum Azumarill and Tyranitar. Defiant comes very handy because most of the time Bisharp will face Defoggers like Corviknight,Sticky Web setters like Shuckle and Intimidate users such as Landorus-T.

Bisharp's Steel type is always appreciated by most of its teammates, being able to deal with Fairy and Bug types. again, prob remove this since defensively, bisharp isnt too hotHowever, Bisharp struggles alot against Fighting types. Mandibuzz is a valuable teammate for Bisharp,as it can take physical Fighting-type attacks with no problem .Mandibuzz also grants immunity to Ground-type attacks that are a huge threat to Bisharp. give some examples here, like scarf gapdos as a fighting type or lando t as a ground type Also, U-Turn from Mandibuzz can bring-in Bisharp safely and start setting up. Tyranitar is able to deal with special Fire types that Bisharp can't handle, like Blacephalon and Volcarona. Grimmsnarl is a useful teammate as it can use moves like Reflect and Light screen to give Bisharp an easier time setting up.Tyranitar can also use Stealth Rock, leading to potentional Defog usage on Bisharp and activating Defiant. bisharp's defiant also goes hand in hand with grimmsnarl's screens, so prob mention that bisharp deters defog uses on both of them. Hydreigon forms a solid core with Bisharp,as both can break through walls that are troublesome for each other. talk about the mons they counter for each other, like how bisharp beats fairies/ttar and hydra can break through physdef mons Zarude is a Pokemon that covers for Bisharp's Ground weakness and it benefits from Bisharp's wallbreaking ability,as Bisharp deals with Pokemon such as Galarian-Weezing which can check Zarude. zarude also beats water types like shifu r which is pretty important since dark in general gets fked by waters. Pokemon like Weavile and Galarian Moltres appreciate Bisharp's ability to break through walls,as it deals with troublesome checks such as Ferrothorn and Tyranitar.

**Ground and Fire Types**: Fire types like Heatran are checks to Bisharp's Iron Head and they can kill it easily.Bulky Ground types like Hippowdon have no problem dealing with Bisharp,as they can take hits from it and use super-effective moves on it.
**Status**: Burn is something that annoys Bisharp the most.Halving its Attack power, makes Bisharp unable to perform its role effectively.Pokemon using Scald or Will-O-Wisp,like Toxapex and Sableye, can be a problem.
**Tapu Lele**: Tapu Lele brings Psychic Terrain on the field making Bisharp unable to use Sucker Punch and it can also OHKO it using either Focus Blast or Moonblast if Specs.
**Substitute**: Subsitute from faster Pokemon such as Salazzle mention a dif sub user, lazzle is not that good rn and isnt that relevant annoys Bisharp because it won't be able to use Sucker Punch and then its lack of Speed becomes a real problem.
**Faster Pokemon with resistance**: Specifically Pokemon like Tapu Koko and Hydreigon that can take Sucker Punch without a problem and even kill Bisharp. i would group this up with the line on fighters, they're very similar

There are some notable changes you can make before sending this to Grammar also Lialiabeast like spacing your periods and commas between sentences. Some other stuff is C&C Grammar like capitalizing the words "Dark" and "Steel" instead of dark and steel. You can read all about it here Spelling and Grammar Standards | Smogon Forums and take a look at an analysis that in GP like this one Copyediting - Galarian Moltres (Dark) [GP: 1/2] | Smogon Forums. After you implement the above AMcheck and apply personal spacings / capitalization, I'll give this a look

[overview]
- just mention bisharp as a powerful setup sweeper in the first sentence and its access to sucker punch making it less vulnerable to being revenge killed
Its wallbreaking ability works really well against Ice, Poison and Fairy teams.

- please do not put quotation marks around defiant and just start the sentence with defiant. reword the sentence to say something more along the lines of Bisharp's Defiant allows it to advantage of Defog and Sticky Web, deterring Pokemon from clearing hazards and setting webs. obviously use your own words but that's what is important for defiants line

Nevertheless, Bisharp will be in trouble facing a Fighting-type Pokemon and can be easily checked by the likes of Kommo-o.
- this sentence is so overly obvious that its just not needed

please include these points in the overview:
- talk about knock offs utility
- bisharps steel typing allows it to take x-type attacks for dark teams, also that it can take on slower fairies like clefable

[set comments]
For every Dark team, Bisharp is a valuable member because it can act as a really good wallbreaker. Swords Dance is there to boost Bisharp's already high Attack stat, becoming a serious attacking threat. (dex info, instead mention what sd can help it break such as corviknight)
- remove all life orb mentions in the paragraph and move it to the oo
Max investment in Attack, with Adamant nature and 252 Atk EVs, is what Bisharp needs and with 252 Speed, Bisharp is able to outspeed major threats such as Belly Drum Azumarill and Tyranitar. (this again is dex info, mention what threats its speed can help it outpace for dark teams like galarian weezing and rotom-w.)
- Bisharp struggles alot against Fighting types. again this is unnecessary dex info
- for the mandibuzz sentence talk about how it can act as a physical sponge for bisharp checking ground/fighting-types for it consistently thanks to roost, while being able to safely pivot it in with uturn. you don't need 100 sentences for mandibuzz, just keep it to one well written sentence that includes what i said
- keep the sentences about tyranitar next to each other
- mention grimmsnarl can check fighting types for bisharp as well
- talk about what bisharp does for all of its teammates at the top of the paragraph, so you don't have 5 random sentences about it in between the teammates paragraph
- order its teammates in this section: tyranitar, grimmsnarl, weavile, zarude, galarian moltres, hydreigon, sableye, mandibuzz
overall this needs to be fixed a lot. use the proper spacing that we provide in the template in the resources thread of the forum. look up the spelling/grammar gp standards for analyses because this is all over the place. don't include super obvious info like fighting types beat bisharp or sd makes it stronger, you want to give good metagame examples. when you have done all of the above, tag me in this thread and i will look over it again and decide if i want to stamp this.

[OVERVIEW]

Dark
========
Bisharp is a powerful setup sweeper and to its access to Sucker Punch lowers it's chances of being revenge killed. Also its ability Defiant is very useful due to the fact that there are many Defoggers like Corviknight, Sticky Web setters like Galvantula, and Intimidate users such as Landorus-T, that Bisharp can take advantage of and can possibly make them think twice before clearing hazards or setting Sticky Web. Bisharp is a powerful setup sweeper because of its access to Swords Dance and Sucker Punch, allowing it to be an effective, yet powerful revenge killer and ability in Defiant allowing it to abuse Defog users like Mantine and Sticky Web. [I rephrase this first sentence. Saying Sucker Punch lowers its chances of being revenge killed is fine but actually saying how Sucker Punch allows it to be a revenge killer (the role you are presenting to the reader) seems more effective. Idt its necessary to write that either since its a priority move. Swords Dance is pretty important to mention in the first line, its the name of the set, its in the first Move so it deserves to be mentions in this paragraph even at the slightest] Knock off gives Bisharp great utility due to the fact that it can remove items such as Black Sludge from Toxapex. (Can you provide more examples. It would be great to mention examples of Pokemon that doesn't like its item removed like Ferrothorn/Scarf landorus/etc rather than pex since it has both regen and recovery to regain health. Ik you mentioned this later and merging this into the first sentence is also fine you arent repeating the same points which seems like a waste) Bisharp's Steel typing comes in very handy for Dark teams as it grants neutrality to Fairy and can take on slower Fairy-types like Clefable. (Directly stating that its Steel STAB targets Fairy types is more effective than talking about its neutrality. Bisharp is pretty fragile but ig you can compress it but its important to talk about stab ihead, esp with a Clefable line.) Bisharp's Speed stat is something to be concerned about and it relies on Sucker Punch for speed control. There are threats that can outspeed and OHKO Bisharp without fearing Sucker Punch, such as Tapu Koko and Hydreigon. (These two lines need to be merged together)

Sucker Punch is the move that makes up for Bisharp's lack of speed, being a priority move and a pretty strong one killing fragile faster threats, such as Barraskewda and Gengar with Focus Blast. (we don't use "killing" we use "KOing" but i wouldn't even say killing. just say it targets faster threats in GENERAL. if your bisharp is at 5% and you are vs a scarf buzzwole that resists sucker punch but its at 7 hp. are you clicking iron head because its bulkier and it resists sucker or are you clicking sucker to finish it off) Max investment in Speed helps Bisharp outspeed threats for Dark teams like Galarian Weezing and Belly Drum Azumarill. (no need to say bd azumarill.. just specific adamant/jolly)

Most Bisharp's teammates appreciate its wallbreaking ability that helps it deal with some checks that might be huge threats for every dark team, but it needs some defensive options for its weaknesses. Tyranitar is able to deal with special Fire-types that Bisharp can't handle like Volcarona. Tyranitar can also use Stealth Rock, leading to potentional Defog usage on Bisharp and activating Defiant. Pokemon like Weavile and Galarian Moltres pair well with Bisharp as it can deal with their checks such as Clefable and Tyranitar. Hydreigon forms a solid core with Bisharp, as both can break through walls and checks that are troublesome for each other. Hydreigon can break physical walls like Ferrothorn and Bisharp can deal with Fairy-types that are threats for Hydreigon such as Choice Scarf Gardevoir. (gardevoir is pretty garbage and hydreigon needs a little more information in sets that it runs) Mandibuzz is a valuable teammate for Bisharp as it can check Fighting-, and Ground-type attacks for it from the likes of Kommo-o and Excadrill respectively, while also being able to bring it in safely using U-Turn. Sableye is another good option because it provides Fighting immunity and with its stallbreaking set it can shut down checks to Bisharp, such as Corviknight.

Tapu Lele's Psychic Terrain blocks Sucker Punch, and it can even OHKO Bisharp with Focus Blast or Moonblast if running Choice Specs.

**Substitute Users**: Subsitute from faster Pokemon such as Kommo-o, annoys Bisharp because it won't be able to use Sucker Punch and then its lack of Speed becomes a real problem. Faster Substitute users such as Kommo-o block Sucker Punch and take advantage of Bisharp's low Speed.

**Faster Pokemon with resistance Sucker Punch-resistant Pokemon**: Specifically,(RC) Pokemon like Tapu Koko and Hydreigon that can take Sucker Punch without a problem and even OHKO Bisharp. (This section should be something like "Faster Sucker Punch-resistant Pokemon" because you are focusing on the fact that they can take Sucker Punch.)

Bisharp is a powerful setup sweeper due to Swords Dance and Sucker Punch, allowing it to be an effective and powerful revenge killer that targets frail and fast threats such as Dragapult. Defiant allows Bisharp to take advantage of Sticky Web and Defoggers like Mantine.(The original sentence was a huge run-on) Knock Off(capitalize) gives Bisharp great utility due to the fact that it can and lets it remove items such as Leftovers from Ferrothorn, Choice Scarf from Ditto,(AC) and Eviolite from Porygon2. Bisharp's Steel typing comes in very handy for Dark teams,(AC) as it grants a neutrality to Fairy and can allows Bisharp to take on slower Fairy-types like Clefable with its STAB Iron Head. Bisharp relies on Sucker Punch to make up for its low Speed stat, but there are threats that can OHKO Bisharp without fearing Sucker Punch such as Tapu Koko and Hydreigon.

Swords Dance is there in order to helps Bisharp break through troublesome walls such as Corviknight and Ferrothorn. Iron Head is Bisharp's STAB move and it is used to covers Fairy-types like Clefable and Dark resists Dark-resistant foes such as Tyranitar. Sucker Punch is the move that makes up for Bisharp's lack of mediocre Speed(Capitalize),(RC) being a priority move and a pretty strong one targeting targets faster threats such as Barraskewda and Volcarona. Maximum Speed investment in Speed helps Bisharp outspeed threats for to Dark teams like Galarian Weezing and Azumarill.

Tyranitar is able to deals with special Fire-types that Bisharp can't handle like Volcarona and sets Stealth Rock, letting Bisharp potentially activate Defiant against Defoggers. Tyranitar can also use Stealth Rock, leading to potentional Defog usage on Bisharp and activating Defiant. Same goes for Grimmsnarl, as it can set Light Screen and Reflect and that may also lead to a potentional Defog usage. Also Reflect and Light screen from Grimmsnarl give Bisharp an easier time setting up and Grimmsnarl checks Fighting types as well. Similarly, Grimmsnarl's dual screens force Defog usage while also giving Bisharp an easier time setting up; Grimmsnarl also checks Fighting-types. Zarude is a Pokemon that covers for Bisharp's Ground weakness and can take care of bulky Ground-types such as Hippowdon as well as bulky Water-types like Tapu Fini. Zarude, also, can deal with Water-types that are hard to deal with for Bisharp due to their bulk, Pokemon like Tapu Fini. Weavile and Galarian Moltres pair well with Bisharp,(AC) as they both they can deal with threats to it such as Landorus-T and Keldeo,(AC) respectively. Hydreigon forms a solid core with Bisharp, as both can break through walls and checks that are troublesome for each other. Wallbreaker Hydreigon can deal with walls that Bisharp struggles with, like Corviknight,(AC) and Bisharp can deal with Ice-types such as Choice Specs Kyurem. Mandibuzz is a valuable teammate for Bisharp as it can check Fighting-, and Ground-type attacks for it from the likes of Kommo-o and Excadrill respectively, while also being able to bring it in safely using U-Turn. Mandibuzz checks Fighting- and Ground-types like Kommo-o and Excadrill while also bringing Bisharp in safely with U-turn. Sableye is another good option because it provides a Fighting immunity and with its stallbreaking set it can shut down checks to Bisharp such as Corviknight with its stallbreaker set.
