Pet Mod Blank Canvas (Slate 34)

Minor Balance Changes!

With PMPL V coming soon, and the Kickoff Tournament for Meta C having just ended, we are making some small tweaks to certain mons on the metagame from the information we gathered on the tournament, as to make the mod more balanced when PMPL V mod submissions come out!
Koiryu:
-Take Heart -10 HP, +Calm Mind +10 Atk

Koiryu was one of the strongest sweepers in the meta, able to spiral out of control due to sheer bulk with Multiscale, self-healing, and setup that gave it a SpDef boost, and cleared status. This nerf searches to remove its ability to clear status from itself, giving the format another way to deal with it via status chip negating Multiscale, and a small bulk nerf as to make it easier to wear down.

Oreamoss:
-Swords Dance -10 HP, +Curse

Oreamoss, similar to Koiryu, was able to sweep teams from one badly positioned mon, with Swords Dance, and both a STAB priority move and draining move. This nerf should reduce the amount of damage Oreamoss immediately gets from one turn of boosting, and now also gets a speed drop from boosting up, making it reliant on its priority to deal damage first against targets, but in exchange, is now able to boost its physical bulk and boost its Atk more reliably, and can use its STAB draining move with more efficacy. Although to counteract this a bit, it also gets a small bulk drop, making it easier to kill before it starts boosting, and while its boosted.

Been a while since i posted one of these.

Meta D is now starting!

Slate 30,5!
:sv/smeargle:

We aren't starting with the normal slates just yet!

This micro slate will work as a normal Pet Mod submission slate, with it having the function of setting a power level for Meta D, as well as solid mons for it to start with. Your submissions will consist of 10 previous Blank Canvas mons, from any of the previous metas (A, B, C), and after submissions, there will be a voting round. The winning submission will become the 10 mons Meta D starts with.

Returning Pokemon: Mon1, Mon2, Mon3,... Mon10
Explanation: (Explain why do you think the mons you submitted would be healthy for developing a metagame)

Submissions last for 5 days!

Returning Pokemon: Siltworm, Lavalisk, Brasspecter, Deadward, Hearthind, Bufferfly, Haarstorm, Formaldehydra, Sascractch, Monsnooze

Explanation: With these mons, we immediately introduce:
-A solid speed cap in Hearthind.
-A physically bulky Ground-type in Siltworm.
-An Intimidate pivot in Deadward.
-And hazard removal in Lavalisk and Formaldehydra.

Aside from that, we'd have some solid setup options, mainly in Brasspecter and Monsnooze, which over the course of the metagame, counterplay to them can be created. We also have wallbreakers in Sascratch, Haarstorm, and Bufferfly, who are all good, or struggle against our main defensive pieces (Siltworm, Formaldehydra), and later, more defensive pieces can be introduced that interact with these wallbreakers.
Kinda want the power level here to be similar to Meta C.

Returning Pokemon: Pinaturbo, Deadward, Tiaratron, Socknbusk'n, Iron Crest, Tryonite, Twinkaton, Martorse, Piss, Pestiligy
Explanation: The idea was to introduce a bunch of utility mons so that we can focus less on that. Also some offensive mons that didn't really get a chance to shine in their respective metas, maybe they can do better here? Martorse and Piss are there for speed control.

Returning Pokemon: Armie, Boreetle, Centaghoul, Craggon, Deadward, Geoporka, Hyakutari, Martorse, Parfae, Wizhazard

This set of 10 pokemon gives a strong variety of both attackers, pivots, and walls of all speed tiers and both sides of the physical special split. It also has a bunch of different hazard removal options that can fit onto any style of team, multiple good hazard setters of different varieties, and all of the standard utility-type mons you would want a metagame to have.

Additionally, having both a strong intimidate pivot (Deadward) and a good special wall (Centaghoul) help open up the design space for new pokemon, allowing more out-there attackers to be designed in future slates without worrying about them being un-handleable. Lastly, it includes two mons from Meta C (Armie, Boreetle) who I believe never got the chance they really deserved purely due to meta patterns that I think should be able to thrive in a new metagame.

(Also please no tiara, that thing shouldn't be allowed in)

Returning Pokemon: Groundead, Seode, Treatmint, Metarachne, Sheepquake, Guttergar, Blobbian, Llanfairwyrm, Deadward, Plasmage

Explanation: I decided to focus my starting lineup around a core set of hazard setters, removers, and bulky attackers. Each of the four main hazards are represented in some way, alongside a prominent spinblocker, bulky attackers, support Pokemon, and other assorted roles. This lineup would encourage the creation of offensive Pokemon or support Pokemon dedicated to exploiting the relationships between each of the starting lineup Pokemon.

And now we're starting with Meta D for real!

Some very small changes on the points system:
Add Notable Moves (Very Good): 6 -> 5 points.
Nuzzle, Mortal Spin: Notable -> Notable (Very Good).
(Btw, we're going to use the same amount of points we did in Meta C for Meta D)

Sign-ups last 48hrs!

Also are we implementing the Pokemon Champions move changes, like Dragon/Shadow Claw being labeled as slicing moves, or Make it Rain having its accuracy nerfed, for example?
