Blastoise @ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Rapid Spin
- Toxic
- Refresh

Blastoise is NeverUsed's most consistent spinner due to its fantastic Water typing and impressive mixed bulk. Blastoise sets itself apart from other entry hazard removers through its ability to beat every relevant Stealth Rock setter, including Rhydon, Steelix, Piloswine, Diancie, and Gigalith. Scald is a drawback-free move that can dish out decent damage against neutral targets and dissuade physical attackers like Gallade and Passimian from switching in from fear of being burned. Rapid Spin is the main draw of Blastoise and makes it incredibly useful on Spikes-stacking teams, which cannot afford to run more prominent Defog users. Blastoise also acts as a fantastic Water-type check with Toxic, as it can cripple defensive Pokemon such as Slowbro, Vaporeon, and Pyukumuku. Refresh lets Blastoise heal any status, which is important because the Pokemon it checks will often rely on Toxic to wear it down. Overall, Blastoise thrives on balance teams where it can form defensive cores with common teammates such as Golbat, Steelix, and Type: Null.

Scald is a spammable move which can dish out decent damage against neutral targets while also dissuading physical attackers from switching in from fear of being burnt. give some examples of prevelant physical attackers which are dettered to switch in thanks to scald or alternatively, mention what pokemon blastoise acts more of a blanket check to thanks to scald Rapid Spin is the main draw of Blastoise and makes it incredibly useful on Spike stacking teams which cannot afford to run more prominent Defog users. Blastoise also acts as a fantastic Water-type check with Toxic as it can cripple defensive Pokemon such as Slowbro, Vaporeon, and Pyukumuku. Refresh lets Blastoise heal any status away, as the Pokemon it checks will often rely on Toxic to wear it down. Blastoise is NeverUsed's most consistent spinner due to its fantastic Water- typing (remove hyphen) and impressive mixed bulk. Blastoise sets itself apart from other entry hazard removers through its ability to beat every relevant Stealth Rock setter, including Rhydon, Steelix, Piloswine, Diancie, and Gigalith. Scald is a drawback-free move whichthat can dish out decent damage against neutral targets while also dissuadingand dissuade physical attackers like Gallade and Passimian from switching in from fear of being burned (dumb i know, but american spelling). Rapid Spin is the main draw of Blastoise and makes it incredibly useful on Spikes-(AH)stacking teams, (AC) which cannot afford to run more prominent Defog users. Blastoise also acts as a fantastic Water-type check with Toxic, (AC) as it can cripple defensive Pokemon such as Slowbro, Vaporeon, and Pyukumuku. Refresh lets Blastoise heal any status away, as, which is important because the Pokemon it checks will often rely on Toxic to wear it down. Overall, Blastoise thrives on balance teams where it can form defensive cores with common teammates such as Golbat, Steelix, and Type: Null.
