[SET COMMENTS]
Despite Mawile's natural low Special Defense, its typing allows for it to check various special attackers such as Roselia, Mr. Rime, and Glaceon while also taking hits from mixed attackers like SIlvally-Psychic better. Mawile's Intimidate also allows it to switch into physical attacks from Pokemon such as Silvally-Bug and Beartic. Iron Head serves as Mawile's STAB move, which allows it to hit the previously mentioned Pokemon harder, although Knock Off can help cripple them and many switch-ins such as Klang and Type: Null. Mawile also runs support moves in Toxic and Pain Split, which help wear its foes down and punish many switches. Pain Split also makes Mawiles harder to wear down, as it lacks recovery otherwise outside of Leftovers. Rocky Helmet can instead be used to wear down many physical attackers and punish U-turn users.

Setup Pokemon such as Ludicolo and Raichu benefit from Mawile's Stealth Rock wearing foes down. Furthermore, Knock Off can remove items such as Manectic's Choice Scarf and Type: Null's Eviolite, as it makes it easier for them to sweep. Due to how easily worn down Mawile is, Healing Wish support from Pokemon such as Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime can help late-game. Even after Intimidate, Ground- and Fire-type attacks from Pokemon such as Stonjourner and Heatmor still do a lot of damage. Because of this, it is useful to have a physically bulky partner for Mawile like Mareanie and Gourgeist-Super.

move 2: Play Rough
move 3: Toxic
move 4: Knock Off / Super Fang / Taunt
item: Leftovers / Rocky Helmet
ability: Intimidate
nature: Impish
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def

[SET COMMENTS]
Mawile can be run physically defensive so, alongside Intimidate, it can check many physical attackers such as Fraxure, Leafeon, and Grapploct. Toxic allows for Mawile to cripple its foes and not be setup fodder for Pokemon such as Beheeyem and Bellossom. Mawile has various options for its last slot. Knock Off can remove important items such as Stonjourner's Choice Scarf, Vespiquen's Heavy-Duty Boots, and Mareanie's Eviolite. Super Fang works well alongside Toxic when wearing foes down. Finally, Taunt can stop foes from taking advantage of Mawile with moves like Type: Null's Rest, Musharna's Calm Mind, and Mareanie's Toxic Spikes. Leftovers is Mawile's only form of recovery, but Rocky Helmet helps wear down foes and punish U-turn users like Silvally-Bug.

Other hazard setters such as Roselia and Pincurchin can stack their hazards with Mawile's. The former also serves as a special wall, meaning it can check special attackers such as Ludicolo and Raichu, while Mawile checks physical attackers. Special attackers in general are a large threat to Mawile, such as Manectric and Lapras, although both struggle to switch in, fearing Mawile's Play Rough and support moves, respectively. Other special walls include Munchlax and Throh.

[SET]
name: Wallbreaker
move 1: Stealth Rock
move 2: Play Rough
move 3: Iron Head / Thunder Punch
move 4: Sucker Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Sheer Force
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]

On top of serving as a Stealth Rock setter, Mawile's decent Attack, great offensive typing, and Sheer Force and Life Orb combination make it a great way to break through bulky Pokemon such as Throh and Roselia. While Iron Head allows Mawile to hit Pokemon such as Shiinotic and Carkol harder, Thunder Punch can be used instead as a means to hit Mareanie, which resists Mawile's STAB moves. Sucker Punch attempts to make up for Mawile's low speed and allows Mawile to also serve as a revenge killer for otherwise faster Pokemon such as Manectric and Silvally-Psychic.

Mawile pairs well with special attackers that benefit from Stealth Rock while handling physically defensive Pokemon such as Gourgeist-XL and Dubwool, which give Mawile trouble. Examples of special attackers include Pokemon such as Heatmor and Beheeyem. In return, Mawile can break through specially defensive Pokemon like Munchlax and Type: Null. Other hazard setters such as Mareanie and Roselia can stack their hazards with Mawile's Stealth Rock. Furthermore, these hazards make it easier for Mawile to break through bulky Pokemon and revenge kill faster Pokemon with Sucker Punch. These fast Pokemon such as Leafeon and Manectric also make for good teammates for Mawile, as they can clean up the match after Mawile has weakened their threats with either power or Stealth Rock.

Despite Mawile's natural low Special Defense, its typing allows for it to check various special attackers such as Roselia, Mr. Rime, and Glaceon while also taking hits from mixed attackers like SIlvally-Psychic better. (i don't like this example; sd psychicvally beats you) Mawile's Intimidate also allows it to switch into physical attacks from Pokemon such as Silvally-Bug and Beartic. (well u lose to both) Iron Head serves as Mawile's STAB move, which allows it to hit the previously mentioned Pokemon harder, although Knock Off can help cripple them and many switch-ins such as Klang and Type: Null. (nitpick but u could give some examples)

Setup Pokemon such as Ludicolo and Raichu benefit from Mawile's Stealth Rock wearing foes down. (any examples of notable calc?)(mention wallbreakers too) Furthermore, Knock Off can remove items such as Manectic's Choice Scarf (mane isnt a mawile switchin, though) and Type: Null's Eviolite, as it makes it easier for them to sweep. (i'd just talk about physical walls in general)(i also don't like how this is worded at all, makes it seem like mareanie is an answer to stonjourner, and heat crash does a ton to gourg-xl. change the examples, or add one)

mention answers to threats it gives free setup opportunities to, like subsd grassvally and pawniard
mention other spdef mons; what makes this set good is mawile's typing but it has a terrible spdef bulk. it appreciates partners like spdef rime and type: null to fall back on
mention offensive threats that appreciate mawile answering threats like mr. mime

Mawile can be run physically defensive so, alongside Intimidate, it can check many physical attackers such as Fraxure, Leafeon, and Grapploct. (mention its typing too, it's part of what makes this set good and allows it to check these threats) Toxic allows for Mawile to cripple its foes and not be setup fodder for Pokemon such as Beheeyem and Bellossom. (you already mention this above, and this info arguably doesn't even have to come up once) Mawile has various options for its last slot. Knock Off can remove important items such as Stonjourner's Choice Scarf, (this is a pretty weird example; focus on knocking off hdbs and eviolite) Vespiquen's Heavy-Duty Boots, and Mareanie's Eviolite. Super Fang works well alongside Toxic when wearing foes down. Finally, Taunt can stop foes from taking advantage of Mawile with moves like Type: Null's Rest, Musharna's Calm Mind, and Mareanie's Toxic Spikes. (if running taunt, it should ideally have enough speed for type: null. that's 80 speed evs) Leftovers is Mawile's only form of recovery, but Rocky Helmet helps wear down foes and punish U-turn users like Silvally-Bug. (just physical attackers in general)

Other hazard setters such as Roselia and Pincurchin can stack their hazards with Mawile's. The former also serves as a special wall, meaning it can check special attackers such as Ludicolo and Raichu, while Mawile checks physical attackers. (i wouldnt mention roselia as a spdef wall, but as an offensive threat tht can put stuff to sleep and deal with mareanie)(these entry hazards setters also appreciate mawile getting rid of random hdbs like rime and vespiquen) Special attackers in general are a large threat to Mawile, such as Manectric and Lapras, (replace lapras with gourgeist) although both struggle to switch in, fearing Mawile's Play Rough and support moves, (mane also dislikes getting koff'd) respectively. Other special walls include Munchlax and Throh. (mention type: null)(what do these in exchange?)

mention offensive threats that appreciate mawile answering threats like physical gourg
although mawile has decent physical + intimidate, it can easily get overwhelmed. mention physical walls like mareanie it pairs well with

move 1: Stealth Rock / Swords Dance - this is what makes mawile so threatening; update set comments accordingly

move 4: Knock Off / Sucker Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Sheer Force
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
should probably consult with qc before making these changes, but imo these should be the slashes. reasoning being that knock off + play rough, mawile can overwhelm mareanie and other pokemon like palpitoad considerably easier, while stabs + sucker and prough + tpunch + sucker are also solid options.
[SET COMMENTS]

On top of serving as a Stealth Rock setter, Mawile's decent Attack, great offensive typing, and Sheer Force and Life Orb combination make it a great way to break through bulky Pokemon such as Throh and Roselia. (mention physical walls it can overwhelm)(also mention its movepool and access to priority) While Iron Head allows Mawile to hit Pokemon such as Shiinotic and Carkol harder, (u beat the former regardless im p sure. anyway, iron head is also a more reliable stab move) Thunder Punch can be used instead as a means to hit Mareanie, which resists Mawile's STAB moves. (fluff) Sucker Punch attempts to make up for Mawile's low speed and allows Mawile to also serve as a revenge killer for otherwise faster Pokemon such as Manectric and Silvally-Psychic. (it doesnt only allow it to revenge kill stuff, if anything u mostly use it so stuff like manectric and mr. mime cant revenge kill u)(mention stealth rock here)

Mawile pairs well with special attackers that benefit from Stealth Rock (one) while handling physically defensive Pokemon such as Gourgeist-XL and Dubwool, (mention mareanie) which give Mawile trouble. Examples of special attackers include Pokemon such as Heatmor and Beheeyem. (mention raichu; it has fantastic synergy with mawile, inviting pokemon like type: null in for mawile) In return, Mawile can break through specially defensive Pokemon like Munchlax and Type: Null. Other hazard setters (two) such as Mareanie and Roselia can stack their hazards with Mawile's Stealth Rock. Furthermore, these hazards make it easier for Mawile to break through bulky Pokemon and revenge kill faster (pick off faster Pokemon) Pokemon with Sucker Punch. (mareanie can switch into pokemon that force mawile out, like falinks and hitmontop, while roselia invites in pokemon that mawile beats, and can put stuff to sleep, giving mawile an easier time setting up) These fast Pokemon such as Leafeon and Manectric also make for good teammates for Mawile, as they can clean up the match after Mawile has weakened their threats with either power or Stealth Rock. (3)(mention silvally forms, np gourg, and crustle)

mention voltturn users
mention answers to threats that force out mawile
mention healing wish support
