Hey everyone! BMT is making its second return!
BMT stands for Break My Team, where the idea is that a team is featured each week, and through community input, all kinds of random counters can be found. The only requirement is that the counter 3-0es the team! How doesn't matter, whether its putting on a resist berry or running something crazy like Special Attacking Excadrill, all that matters is that it 3-0es.

Let's set some rules:
  1. Please be respectful of others on this thread.
  2. Please provide some basic (but not too extensive) calcs to prove that your counter does indeed "break" the team
  3. Rolls must be at least 87.5% per turn in the counter's favor. This goes for living and killing, and should open up options a bit more in terms of EV distribution.
  4. Moves with at least 70% accuracy over the number of turns needed will always count as hitting.
  5. Secondary effects like burn from Fire Blast will not count as a win condition, except in instance the of stall battles, such as poisoning once with Sludge Wave when it is needed against a bulky target, due to it being most likely to happen over time, or if the secondary effect of the move has a 50% chance or higher of activating, an example being Diamond Storm. (updated 06/09/20)
  6. 50/50s between two Pokemon means that the featured team does indeed have a way to counter it, and should not count as "countering."
  7. Pokemon undergoing a suspect test will not be eligible to be a counter, and will also not be able to be a part of a featured team until its suspect test has concluded.
  8. Please only one counter per post, but a singular person can submit more than one counter per cycle.
  9. On reservation posts: if you have a Pokemon in reservation for over a week, the post will be deleted by a forum mod, so other people can reserve that Pokemon, too.
  10. I reserve the right to delete posts that aren't actual counters, but will try and talk to the poster before hand. Also, off-topic posts will be deleted too.
  11. Teams can come from anywhere! I will be taking any user submitted teams, whether its through discord (I am zio#4846) or through PM on PS!. I'll look at the team and review it, making sure there's not gaping holes, and if it's good, then it will be featured. I do first-come-first-serve, so the earlier you submit, the earlier your team will be featured! Please just remove names of individual Pokemon when submitting.
  12. The layover time will be 2 weeks, starting today, January 8, 2020. This means the next team will be featured on January 23, 2020.
  13. You are allowed to submit the same Pokemon as someone else as long as the set is different from theirs. I can delete posts (first talking to the poster though) if they are too similar to each other.
  14. Lastly, we will have voting for the community's favorite counter to be featured with the team! You can vote by reacting with a "Like" or a "Love" to a post with your favorite counter in it. You can also vote for multiple counters. The winner will be rewarded with 30 Kyubits.
  15. In the case of a tie, the tied posts will be voted on in a seperate post, based on reactions.
  16. Do not use Discord “#like-my-post” channels or similar methods to farm illegitimate reactions on your submission. Doing this is subject to a DQ, repeat offenders may receive a blacklist from BMT.
Good luck and thank you for participating!

*: Not all of these teams should be considered viable/metagame appropriate due to metagames shifting all the time, plus, these most of the time aren't going to be the best of the best. This is especially true with the SWSH teams where the metagame has been constantly changing due to new threats being discovered, VR changes, and new releases of Pokemon, so I wouldn't recommend using these ones on ladder and especially not in a tournament setting.

(these will be removed after they are implemented in a cycle)

Simple set.
Grimmsnarl (M) @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Bulk Up
- Darkest Lariat
- Power Whip
- Substitute
Pretty self explanatory. The Mew set can’t break sub. Rhyperior is killed at +2 by whip 100% of the time. Dragapult has to play so many 50/50s and is bound to lose one.
I will better optimize the EVs to live crits from Rhyperior latter.
0 Atk Rhyperior Earthquake vs. +1 252 HP / 0 Def Grimmsnarl: 136-162 (34.5 - 41.1%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
0 Atk Rhyperior Rock Wrecker vs. +1 252 HP / 0 Def Grimmsnarl: 204-241 (51.7 - 61.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
Rhyperior cannot break past Grimmsnarl, will update set later to live crits.

what happens if Mew Transforms?

https://pokepast.es/4c73d83678eb8518
100% guaranteed win on all of the mons, as long as Hydro Cannon hits & Draco Meteor doesn't crit. There are 40 EVs left over that can be invested in speed or bulk, and you don't even need an item!

Explanation:
Mew: 212 Spe takes you up to 329 speed, so you outspeed. Use Substitute on turn 1. Mew has no recovery or attacking options, and Transform doesn't work, allowing you to easily whittle it down with attacks.
Rhyperior: OHKO with Hydro Cannon.
252+ SpA Inteleon Hydro Cannon vs. 248 HP / 144 SpD Assault Vest Solid Rock Rhyperior: 678-801 (156.5 - 184.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Dragapult: Turn 1, use Icy Wind.
If Dragapult uses Draco Meteor, Inteleon tanks and the Speed drop allows Inteleon to outspeed and kill with Ice Beam next turn.
If Dragapult uses Substitute, it goes down to 76% HP. Inteleon switches to Ice Beam on Turn 2. If Dragapult uses Disable or Draco Meteor on Turn 2, it dies to Ice Beam. If it uses Substitute again, it goes down to 51% HP. Now switch back to Icy Wind on turn 3. Again, Disable or Draco Meteor means that Dragapult is dead. Keep alternating between Icy Wind and Ice Beam until Dragapult is dead.
252+ SpA Inteleon Icy Wind vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Dragapult: 164-194 (51.7 - 61.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252+ SpA Inteleon Ice Beam vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Dragapult: 266-314 (83.9 - 99%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
188 SpA Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Inteleon: 237-280 (84.3 - 99.6%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Tyranitar @ Black Glasses
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Tail
- Crunch
- Payback
- Snore

Dragapult:
252+ Atk Tyranitar Crunch vs. 0 HP / 88 Def Dragapult: 336-396 (105.9 - 124.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO
If the Dragapult uses Disable, just switch over to the other dark type move. Both Kill.

Mew:
252+ Atk Tyranitar Payback (100 BP) vs. 168 HP / 88 Def Mew: 338-398 (88.2 - 103.9%) -- 25% chance to OHKO after sandstorm damage
It says 25% chance to OHKO after sandstorm damage, but since mew can't recover, the next struggle is guaranteed to kill.

Rhyperior:
252+ Atk Tyranitar Aqua Tail vs. 248 HP / 116+ Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 219-261 (50.5 - 60.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
A Metal Burst from Rhyperior does up to 392 damage, but Tyranitar has 404 HP and is guaranteed to kill the next turn. Rhyperior cannot OHKO with EQ.

Find me if you need proof
ok never mind apparently I already tested all three of above scenarios in the same game: https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8customgame-1043228392
Edit: I just realized that the default format for Teambuilder is Gen 7 and that Tyranitar cannot obtain Aqua Tail legally in Gen 8.
Thus, here is a version that IS allowed in Gen 8:
Tyranitar
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 112 HP / 140 Atk / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Iron Defense
- Rest
- Crunch
- Payback

Dragapult: Literally do the same thing as above (I'm too lazy)
Mew:
- If Mew imprisons turn 1:
--- 140+ Atk Tyranitar Payback (100 BP) vs. 168 HP / 88 Def Mew: 312-368 (81.4 - 96%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after sandstorm damage
--- 140+ Atk Tyranitar Struggle vs. 168 HP / 88 Def Mew: 52-62 (13.5 - 16.1%) -- possible 5HKO after sandstorm damage
--- Sandstorm damage: 6.25%
--- Adding up all of the above, the minimum damage is (81+13+6 [numbers are rounded down because I can't do addition with decimals]) about 100%
- If Mew transforms turn 1:
--- Iron Defense + Rest means that Mew cannot hurt the Tyranitar
--- Keep using Iron Defense to prevent the Mew from Resting
--- Since Transform only gives 5 PP per move, Tyranitar is guaranteed to stall out mew, as even a max attack adamant Tyranitar only does (252+ Atk Tyranitar Payback (100 BP) vs. 112 HP / 252 Def Tyranitar: 68-81 (18.4 - 21.9%) -- possible 5HKO) to this Tyranitar at +0 Def

Rhyperior:
Here is where things get a little concerning, and I don't know if it works 100%
- Tyranitar should Iron Defense up and use Rest whenever his HP is threatened
--- 0 Atk Rhyperior Earthquake vs. 112 HP / 252 Def Tyranitar: 216-254 (58.5 - 68.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
--- 0 Atk Rhyperior Earthquake vs. +2 112 HP / 252 Def Tyranitar: 108-128 (29.2 - 34.6%) -- 6% chance to 3HKO
--- 0 Atk Rhyperior Earthquake vs. +4 112 HP / 252 Def Tyranitar: 72-86 (19.5 - 23.3%) -- possible 5HKO
--- 0 Atk Rhyperior Earthquake vs. +6 112 HP / 252 Def Tyranitar: 54-66 (14.6 - 17.8%) -- possible 6HKO
- Tyranitar is basically guaranteed to survive the first few Earthquake hits, and is able to boost up to +6 Defense
- When Tyranitar is at +6 Defense, slowly whittle down the Rhyperior with Crunch or Payback. If the Rhyperior uses metal burst, use Rest immediately and do it again once woken up. Rhyperior cannot kill with 3 Earthquakes and a Metal Burst
--- 3 * 14.6[Earthquake] = 43.8%
--- (108[Highest Crunch Damage from Ttar] * 1.5[Metal Burst] )/ 369[Ttar max HP] = 43.9%
HOWEVER
- Critical hits exist, and will kill Tyranitar in all cases but 1:
--- 0 Atk Rhyperior Earthquake vs. 112 HP / 252 Def Tyranitar on a critical hit: 320-380 (86.7 - 102.9%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO
--- 0 Atk Rhyperior Earthquake vs. +6 112 HP / 252 Def Tyranitar: 54-66 (14.6 - 17.8%) -- possible 6HKO
--- Added together, the above exceeds 100% of Tyranitar's Max HP
- Exception: Rhyperior crits Turn 1, in which case Tyranitar can just use rest immediately. If lucky, Tyranitar will wake up after one turn of sleep to Iron Defense, in which case Tyranitar will win given no further crits.
HOWEVER#2
- If the following scenario comes true, Rhyperior wins
--- Tyranitar has +6 Defense
--- Rhyperior has used 3 Earthquakes during Tyranitar's 3 turns of sleep, thus Tyranitar is down to about 60% health
--- If Tyranitar's crunch crits and Rhyperior Metal Bursts, Rhyperior wins unless:
------ Tyranitar's crunch critical hit had the lowest roll
or
------ Rhyperior's 3 Earthquakes low rolled substantially

Thanks for coming to my TED talk.
Please notify me if the scenarios with Rhyperior are too likely to happen for this to count as a counter, in which case I have another counter ready as of this moment.

Edit (again):
For Rhyperior, instead of disqualifying me just pack fr*cking leftovers for better chances. Why did I do all the above math.

Does Tyranitar win if mew transforms turn 1?

Just do the ol' alternation between Payback and Dark Pulse
188 SpA Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 48 HP / 252 SpD Hydreigon: 284-336 (84.2 - 99.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Black Glasses Hydreigon Payback (100 BP) vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Dragapult: 342-404 (107.8 - 127.4%) -- guaranteed OHKO
If you doubt dark pulse kills something's wrong with you

Rock Tomb -> Dark Pulse -> Struggle
0 Atk Hydreigon Rock Tomb vs. 168 HP / 88 Def Mew: 42-50 (10.9 - 13%) -- possible 8HKO
208+ SpA Black Glasses Hydreigon Dark Pulse vs. 168 HP / 0 SpD Mew: 324-384 (84.5 - 100.2%) -- 6.3% chance to OHKO
If you don't believe Struggle is going to do more than 5% against Mild Hydreigon, something is wrong with you

If they use Transform then you're just them but with an free Rock Tomb and with Black Glasses

Dark Pulse -> Hydro Pump

Mamoswine!

Mamoswine @ Life Orb
Ability: Thick Fat
EVs: 252 HP / 164 Atk / 92 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Bulldoze
- Earthquake
- Ice Shard

Dragapult cannot OHKO with draco meteor. Icicle crash ohkos (do you really need a calc?).
252 SpA Dragapult Draco Meteor vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mamoswine: 268-316 (63.2 - 74.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
If they sub, then t2 you're at 90% (so you still tank a draco) and they're at 75%. Click EQ.
164+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 88 Def Dragapult: 250-294 (78.8 - 92.7%)
If they sub again, you're at 80% and they're at 50%. Click ice shard to win.
164+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Ice Shard vs. 0 HP / 88 Def Dragapult: 198-237 (62.4 - 74.7%)
(Remember; if pult subs 3-4 times it can make you rack up enough life orb recoil to die to a draco, ice shard prevents this)

The mew matchup is quite easy. T1, click bulldoze.
164+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Bulldoze vs. 168 HP / 88 Def Mew: 121-144 (31.5 - 37.5%)
Mew is now at 218 speed, one point below you.
T2, click EQ.
164+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Earthquake vs. 168 HP / 88 Def Mew: 200-238 (52.2 - 62.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

In the worst case, mew has taken 83.7% of its health, and has 16.3% (56 HP) left, when it transforms. You are at 80% at that point. If mew wins the speed tie, it can't kill you.
164+ Atk Mamoswine Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mamoswine: 204-240 (48.1 - 56.6%)

Meanwhile, your struggle easily deals the required 56 points of damage.
164+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Struggle vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mamoswine: 88-105 (21.7 - 25.9%) -- 4.9% chance to 4HKO

Finally, rhyperior. Just EQ twice: it cannot kill you with rock wrecker.
164+ Atk Life Orb Mamoswine Earthquake vs. 248 HP / 116+ Def Solid Rock Rhyperior: 218-259 (50.3 - 59.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
0 Atk Rhyperior Rock Wrecker vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Mamoswine: 261-307 (61.5 - 72.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Max damage from EQ is 259. 1.5 times that is 388.5, while mamoswine has 424 base HP, so metal burst cannot kill.
