Here's a team our good friend G-Luke is using for the Urshifu suspect test. This team consists of three solid cores: Urshifu and Spectrier, Nidoking and Cinderace, and Clefable and Mandibuzz. Submissions will last until Tuesday, January 12th. Have fun!

Quick thing: all Fakemon will be learn universal moves by default. If you would like a universal move excluded, please say so in your submission.

This is a WIP, I'm going to add more moves and may calc additional stuff later as well

Fakemon 1 Name: Dirmite
Typing: Ground/Flying
Ability: Battle Armor / --- / Shell Armor (lol)
Stats: 85/105/125/50/85/70 (520)
Moves: Stealth Rock, Recover, Toxic, Earthquake, Bulk Up, Knock Off, Defog, U-Turn, Dual Wingbeat, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Acrobatics, X-Scissor, Lunge, Leech Life, Wood Hammer, Bulldoze, Smack Down, Bug Bite, universal TMs

Fakemon 2 Name: Hermetal
Typing: Normal/Steel
Ability: Levitate
Stats: 75/75/100/125/75/65 (515)
Moves: Flash Cannon, Hyper Voice, Trick, Ice Beam, Body Press, Steel Beam, Iron Defense, Metal Sound, Block, Terrain Pulse, Blizzard, Trick Room, universal TMs

Dirmite @ Leftovers
Ability: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Recover
- Toxic
- Stealth Rock

Hermetal @ Choice Specs
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
- Flash Cannon
- Hyper Voice
- Trick
- Ice Beam

Dirmite was built to hard wall Nidoking by virtue of its typing, Cinderace thanks to its stats, and Urshifu thanks to a Fighting resistance and crit immunity. I did not want to make a Fairy for the third consecutive slate. Mandibuzz also really doesn't like getting poisoned by this on the switchin, although it doesn't do all that well against the other mon in this core either. Clefable doesn't really mind using this Pokemon to set up rocks, though, and Spectrier breaks it rather easily. So that's where the second one comes in...

Hermetal makes for the perfect Spectrier counter and exploits Clefable really nicely even if its Specs are knocked off. I wanted to give this Competitive to exploit Mandibuzz but Mud Shot threw a wrench into that plan, and while I could probably make it have enough special bulk to avoid the 2HKO I don't want this to be a super flimsy Spectrier check. This 'mon 2HKOs basically everything on their team and Clefable and Spectrier are both easy opportunities to come in, and for when Urshifu or Cinderace scares you out, you can just go back to Dirmite. Knock Off from Clefable is annoying but not the end of the world, since Ice Beam still lets you break Mandibuzz and you can still steal an item from something else.

Also, I have sprites for the Nectravolt core:
22 - Nectrance.png
22 - Nectrance (Shiny).png
23 - Batravolt.png
23 - Batravolt (Shiny).png

I'd like to imagine Nectrance as female only because of its design and Batravolt as male only because they're a pairing. Also came up with the fun idea that they're natural friends in the wild as well, Batravolt eats all the bugs that try to eat away at Nectrance's flowers so they both gain from it. Expect sprites for Inscuba and Flarisp soon!

Fakemon 1 Name: Platyrus [Platypus + Virus]
Typing: Water / Ground
Ability: Poison Point / Poison Touch / Poison Heal
Stats: 90 / 90 / 110 / 65 / 90 / 60 (BST: 505)
Moves:
Physical: Earthquake, Flip Turn, Gunk Shot, Knock Off, Liquidation, Poison Jab, Waterfall
Special: Earth Power, Hydro Pump, Scald, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Surf
Status: Toxic, Toxic Spikes
Description: Physical Wall, Bulky pivot
Design: A beaver with a duck head with virus spikes on its tail

Fakemon 2 Name: Beavair [Beaver + Air]
Typing: Normal / Flying
Ability: Dazzling
Stats: 89 / 58 / 72 / 109 / 67 / 120 (BST: 515)
Moves:
Physical:
Brave Bird, Double-Edge, Drill Peck, Facade, Liquidation, Play Rough, Wood Hammer
Special: Air Slash, Dazzling Gleam, Earth Power, Hurricane, Hyper Voice, Surf, Tri-Attack
Status: Defog, Parting Shot, Roost, Sing, Taunt, Toxic
Description: Fast Pivot
Design: A duck with a beaver head

Platyrus @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Protect
- Flip Turn
- Earthquake
- Toxic

Beavair @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Dazzling
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Air Slash
- Earth Power
- Roost
- Parting Shot

Beavair outspeeds the entire team, allowing it to Parting Shot freely. It underspeeds Spectrier, but none of its moves can really touch it. Platyrus can tank almost every move the opponent can throw at it, thanks to its high bulk, Poison Heal, and Beavair's Parting Shot support. Urshifu's Wicked Blow can bypass Parting Shot and Poison Heal (since it bypasses Protect), but Beavair can easily take care of Urshifu. The team has some trouble breaking through Clefable, but its not like it can do anything back lmao

48-ish hour warning! Get your subs in before then!

Also, Urshifu-S has been banned from normal OU. While a few of the teams, including the current one, has featured Urshifu-S, we don't have any solid counters in this metagame to make Urshifu-S any less broken, so Urshifu-S is banned from BTT OU. Tagging Kris and The Immortal Scoopapa and Inkbug to implement.

In the meantime, have an Arboulder (shiny palette pending).

So, I made some unconvential mons to really screw with the team. Firstly we have Ogrump, who utilizes it's substantial bulk and typing to challenge the likes of Urshifu, Nidoking and Cinderace (to a certain extent), while Blankspect screws around with Clefable, Spectrier and even Mandibuzz with its plucky Skill Swap shenanigans.

Ogrump @ Rocky Helmet
Impish Nature
Ability: Triage
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
- Body Press
- Earthquake
- Iron Defense
- Moonlight

Mon eats hits from Urshifu for days, can live a Earth Power in a pinch and if played right, can use ID +Triage to shut down Cinderace.

252 SpA Life Orb Sheer Force Nidoking Earth Power vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Landorus-Therian: 195-230 (43.9 - 51.8%) -- 10.9% chance to 2HKO

252+ Atk Life Orb Libero Cinderace Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Landorus-Therian: 211-250 (47.5 - 56.3%) -- 78.9% chance to 2HKO

Blankspect @ Ghost Memory
Jolly Nature
Ability: Normalize
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Swords Dance
- Entrainment
- Multi Attack
- Knock Off

This preys specifically on the fat mons if the core, utilizing a classic Entrainment set to force switches in order for Blank to nail stuff with its powerful STAB Multi Attack.

Click the sprites for the Pokepaste!
With the ban of Urshifu-S, OU dropped a bunch of new samples, and this is one of them! With a whole bunch of offensive threats, supported by rocks and dual screens, this team is no joke! Luckily, this is a custom element slate!

Rules for Custom Elements

  • Each Pokemon on your core can have one custom element each, whether it be an ability, move, or item.
  • If the custom element is an ability, it cannot just be an improved form of an ability (i.e. Sheer Force but x1.5). Sidegrades of abilities are fine, though (i.e. Sheer Force but only on Water moves)
  • If the custom element is an item, it must be a signature item, meaning it only works for the Pokemon the item is designed for
  • Your custom element may not summon a new field effect (such as a weather or room)
  • If your core wins, the custom elements may not be distributed to other Fakemon

So have fun with that! Submissions will last until Wednesday, January 20.

Moves: *Learns universal TMs
Acid Bite* - Poison / 80 BP / 100% Acc. / 10-16 PP / Super Effective vs. Steel types, Bite and Contact flags.
Physical: *Acid Bite, Poison Jab, Poison Fang, Psychic Fangs, Psycho Cut, Crunch, Ice Fang, Fire Fang, Thunder Fang,
Special: Psychic, Psyshock, Future Sight, Stored Power, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave, Dark Pulse, Earth Power
Status: Recover, Coil, Glare, Teleport
Description: Acid Bite nails Magearna, and makes it a strong wall breaker in general. Psychic Fangs breaks screens and nails Hawlucha. Ice Fang manages Landorus and Dragonite if they switch in. I don't love the idea of it having Glare but then again it is snek. (This thing might 6-0 with Coil/Recover in some situations)
Design: A floating cobra with psychedelic-looking Purple/Pink/Yellow color scheme. it has a ridge on its head with a 3rd eye mark (or maybe the hood extends above the head, hard to say without drawing it) and two eye marks on its hood form an equilateral triangle. It undulates hypnotically in the air.

Ability: Subterrainian* This pokemon is immune to Flying-type attacks, and is unaffected by weather effects on itself (basically just takes no damage from Hail).
Stats: 80 / 130 / 140 / 55 / 60 / 40 (BST: 505)
Moves: *Learns universal TMs
Physical: Earthquake, Drill Run, Dig, Sand Tomb, Leech Life, Lunge, U-turn, Bug Bite, Stone Edge, Rock Slide, Smack Down, Gunk Shot, Crunch,
Special: Earth Power, Scorching Sands, Bug Buzz, Sludge Bomb
Status: Stealth Rock, Curse, Toxic, Baneful Bunker
Description:
A physical tank that improves on a mediocre typing by adding an immunity that nothing else has. Suddenly the resistances to Ground, Fighting, and Electric become really handy! If any situation gets too hot for Psycobra, this can come in to tank the few things that Psycobra fears: full health Landorus, Seed Activated Hawlucha, and Multiscale Dragonite. Worst case scenario is Psycobra being forced out by Lando and Lando SD's then Explodes. Ghost might have worked better than Ground but this thing is basically a mini Dune sandworm so I couldn't bring myself to do that. At least Baneful Bunker could give you a fighting chance. Also stands a good chance of sweeping outright with Curse, but it's mostly there to take heat off of Psycobra.
Design: A burrowing Centipede with nasty four-pronged mandibles.

Psycobra @ Electric Seed
Jolly Nature
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
- Coil
- Substitute
- Acid Bite
- Psychic Fangs

Lead with this pokemon. Vs. Dragonite switch to Terrapede. Vs. Koko, Acid Bite and then Psychic Fangs if Reflect goes up. Vs. Landorus-T, Coil, then Substitute. Vs. Magearna, Hawlucha, and Azumarill, Coil. If you can remove Landorus-T or Azumarill and get Terrapede in vs. a mon other than them, you have a pretty good shot at a sweep with Terrapede. Worst case is that Azumarill leads and clicks Knock Off, then switches out before you can retaliate with a +1 Attack. Even so the only good switch they will have is Landorus-T, who will allow a free Substitute. After that, some prediction comes into play unfotunately, but every swith will lose to either Acid Bite or another Coil.

Terrapede @ Leftovers
Impish Nature
Ability: Subterrainian
EVs: 252 HP / 80 Def / 176 SpD
- Curse
- Earthquake
- Gunk Shot
- Leech Life / Rest / Baneful Bunker

This can set up and take basically nothing from Hawlucha, Dragonite, or Tapu Koko. At +1 Atk it can OHKO Magearna and Azumarill (at +0 it can stop it from Belly Drumming). The biggest problem is Landorus-T Exploding on it, but if it sets up Curse as Landorus-T switches in, then it should be able to live at around 50%, and with multiple Curses under its belt, kill the remaining pokemon. Leech Life, Rest, and Baneful Bunker are all marginally useful. Bunker may be most likely to actually help, but in an exercise like this you can't assume prediction.

There probably are some ways to beat these two with the team, but they will at least require some prediction to pull off.

So, Bismage actually kind of beats their whole team while also most likely being balanced. Pure Psychic is not normally the best defensive typing, but it works here for how hard it is for the team to hit super effectively, and it might make for a decent Unaware user in general because of that perk. It also lets it stuff out Stored Power from Magearna alongside Whirlwind while Draining Kiss is very weak when unboosted. The neutral typing helps it beat Dragonite, Hawlucha, the aforementioned Magearna, and Tapu Koko if your team has issues with its one strong attacking move for some reason. Also, its stats are kind of a palindrome because I thought it'd be fun and it fits here.

Despite all this, it's not impossible for the opponent to break past this. Landorus-T Explosion is annoying unless you happen to Recover the turn he uses it, and Azumarill Knock Off 2HKOs unless you've already lost your item, so you can Recover for one turn because you outspeed it and you'll win the matchup. I still wanted a teammate to deal with Bismage's worse matchups, and since I'd say those are Landorus-T Explosion and Azumarill, I made my next Pokemon counter those to compensate. Stat spread allows it to comfortably take on Azumarill, with even 0 Speed investment forcing it to use Aqua Jet and Gunk Shot OHKOing back. Even +6 Aqua Jet doesn't OHKO your Sp. Def set.

This pairing uses heavy hazard stacking to push progress on the opponent's team. Spikes and Stealth Rock alongside a very safe Whirlwind and Rip Away can help wear down the opponents, and you have Retrieval to help for if your team doesn't have hazard removal for some reason or if you just went under pressure from Azumarill. Their team has no hazard removal because of its offensive nature, so it's not going to be that difficult of a gameplan to achieve.

Explanation: All the fairy types don't do much to Toxily, which in return can spam Sludge Wave and Recover, and can Haze if Magearna or Azumarill tries to set-up. If Landorus tries ro explode for big damage you can switch to Rectre since it's immune to it, and Rectre Can take care of all the flying types with Icicle Spear, since it outspeeds them all and one-shots them. With Dermafrost, click Blizzard for Koko, Blizzard for Mag unless it set up Calm Minds on Foggart in which case you Triple Axel, Triple Axel Dragonite unless you’re intimidated in which case you Blizzard, Triple Axel for Landorus, and always Freeze Dry on Azu and Hawlucha, plus anything that has switched into a hit and is weakened. After Trick Room expires, if you are facing Azu or Koko, stay in and Freeze Dry or Earth Power respectively. Against anything else, switch back into Foggart, where you’ll have the HP to set a second Trick Room and also fire off another Defog if necessary, or else just Teleport out. Two Persistent Trick Rooms should always be enough for Dermafrost to clean up their team, even if they play perfectly.

Lead with Foggart. If they lead Azumarill, you outspeed to Taunt, use Trick Room, and then Teleport into Dermafrost. If they lead Koko, you Taunt, Defog if they set a screen, then Trick Room into Teleport. If they lead with anything else, just Trick Room into Teleport. With Dermafrost, click Blizzard for Koko, Triple Axel for Magearna and and Dragonite unless you’re intimidated in which case you Blizzard both, Triple Axel for Landorus unless its Sash has been broken in which case you Freeze Dry, and Freeze Dry on Azu and Hawlucha, plus anything that has switched into a hit and is weakened. Two Persistent Trick Rooms are always enough for Dermafrost to clean up their team, even if they play perfectly.

Also, if you have a winning sub, it'd be nice of some of these Fakemon's movepools were a little bigger. If you would like to request the addition of flavor moves, please send me a list.
