[OVERVIEW]
  • Technician Mach Punch!
  • Technician Mach Punch!!
  • Technician Mach Punch!!!
  • cuuuuute <3
  • Technician released via Hidden Hollows in BW2
  • Mach Punch now reached deadly levels
  • 130 Base Atk is Shopp-da-Whoop
  • sweet Dual Type

[SET]
name: Life Orb Sweeper
move 1: Low Sweep
move 2: Mach Punch
move 3: Bullet Seed
move 4: Spore / Stone Edge / Swords Dance
item: Life Orb
nature: Adamant / Jolly
ability: Technician
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
  • Mach Punch is pretty much all that's needed
  • Low Sweep gains Technician boost and slowers switch ins to possibly hit it right again
  • Offers same power level as Scizors Bullet Punch but better typing
  • Bullet Seed grants nice coverage
  • Spore for obvious reasons
  • Stone Edge to hit most Flying Types more effectively
  • Swords Dance to boost it's quite powerful moves even further

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
  • K.O.'s a shit ton of pokemon that are neutral to any of his moves
  • Great synergy with Heatran and Jellicent
  • Can be used effectively in a FGW-Core
  • Checks Sandstorm teams suprisingly well
  • Likes Hazard Support not to run into Focus Sash Users
  • Doesn't give a single f*ck about SR thanks to Fighting Type
  • Outruns Bulky Mamoswine and still catches the KO from almost full Health
  • Be careful against Imposter Ditto
  • Swords Dance turns this into a deadly sweeper, once certain threads were removed
  • Protect or Substitute can be used on last slot

[SET]
name: Choice
move 1: Mach Punch
move 2: Bullet Seed
move 3: Low Sweep / Superpower / Spore
move 4: Stone Edge / Spore
item: Choce Band
nature: Adamant / Jolly
ability: Technician
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
  • Erryday I'm MachPunchin'
  • acts as a great revenge killer
  • Bullet Seed and Stone Edge often find good use to predict certain switches
  • Technician Low Sweep can hit most opponents twice in a row thanks to speed reduction effect
  • Superpower is brute force vs. priority
  • Even Choiced does Spore make good option

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
  • Similar to CB Scizor
  • Bullet Seed hits most things that resist / are immune to Mach Punch
  • Stone Edge deals with everything else ('sup Tornadus)
  • Superpower hits like a truck (~51% - 61% to 252/252+ Forretress)

[SET] *original by Blue_Star*
name: Bulk Up
move 1: Bulk Up
move 2: Spore
move 3: Seed Bomb
move 4: Drain Punch
item: Toxic Orb
ability: Poison Heal
nature: Careful
evs: 236 HP / 212 SDef / 60 Spd

[SET COMMENTS]
*coming soon*
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
*see right above*

[SET] *original by Seven Deadly Sins*
name: SubSeed
move 1: Spore
move 2: Leech Seed
move 3: Substitute
move 4: Focus Punch
item: Toxic Orb
nature: Adamant
ability: Poison Heal
evs: 236 HP / 56 Atk / 216 Def

[SET COMMENTS]
  • still viable, even with Technician at its disposal
  • great defensive typing make up average defensive stats
  • Spore shuts down whatever tries to stay in against Breloom
  • Substitute and Leech Seed for survivability
  • Focus Punch offers good damage output thanks to its high Base Atk
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
  • HP EVs gives Poison Heal number, Atk EVs for extra point, rest to Def
  • Gliscor gives trouble, same do Therian formes

[SET] *original by Seven Deadly Sins*
name: SubPunch
move 1: Spore
move 2: Substitute
move 3: Focus Punch
move 4: Seed Bomb / Stone Edge / Facade
item: Toxic Orb
nature: Adamant
ability: Poison Heal
evs: 12 HP / 244 Atk / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
  • Ridicolously powerful
  • anything that doesn't resist Focus Punch is going to take a huge chunk
  • Substitute ensures, it's going to hit
  • Spore is just a great move
  • Last slot for coverage
[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]
  • Simple EV spread, enough HP for Poison Heal number, maximizing speed to be able to Spore as much as possible, rest to Atk
  • Gliscor and Celebi again are troublesome

[Other Options]
  • Not many more options
  • Technician compatible: Force Palm, Wake-Up Slap
  • Technician imcompatible: Drain Punch Thunder Punch
  • Dual Status with Stun Spore
  • RestTalk

[Checks and Counters]
  • Therians
  • Poison Types for most Technician variants
  • Gliscor, Deoxys, Celebi, Dragonite, Lati@s
  • Sleep Talk is now a Tutor move making Spore eventually less viable
  • *Looking for others but there won't be many more*

On Band Techniloom, I prefer Low Sweep over Superpower. Low Sweep can catch something faster on the switch, drop its Speed, and allow Breloom to hit again before taking a hit. Useful for frailer things like Latios who is easily 2HKOed. Also, Low Sweep doesn't lower your stats so it doesn't force you to switch after its use.

I know it's kind of pointless to make suggestions due to what's going on right now, but...

IMO Mach Punch isn't the all-important move on Technician Breloom. I think the LO attacker should look like this:

[SET]
name: Life Orb
move 1: Low Sweep
move 2: Mach Punch
move 3: Bullet Seed
move 4: Spore / Stone Edge
item: Life Orb
nature: Adamant / Jolly
ability: Technician
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

I'm not even sure if Swords Dance should be in there. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic about it, but I just don't see it working all that well with so many of the fast sweepers being Flying-types, not to mention Skarmory on the prowl.

I feel like this thread will be moderated soon so that's all for now.

I think CB Breloom should be using Low Sweep, not Superpower. I know it's weaker than Superpower even with the Technician boost, but the key here is the Speed drop. The Speed drop helps it to 2HKO some things that may switch into a Low Sweep, and Superpower more or less forces you to switch out due to the Attack and Defense drop.

Also I think the name for the Life Orb set should be Life Orb Sweeper, not LO Sweeper, as I believe C&C looks down on using abbreviations in analyses.

well k, some recommended changes are ok I guess.

> Low Sweep became main option on the (now fully spelled) Life Orb Sweeper
> Low Sweep got slashed before Superpower on Choice Set while also moved up to third slash as I think it's more effective than Stone Edge could be
> Bulk Up set added, will put Set Comments and Additional comments tomorrow as it's getting late here already.

I'd drop Spore in the 3rd moveslot as Breloom usually wants a "power" Fighting move on its sets. Spore's fine being a slash in the 4th slot though since Stone Edge can be replaced should the team already handle the Therians and Fire types well enough.

One of the most used Sets on Breloom now is the SD one. You should add it because its an incredible good wallbreaker.

[SET]
name: Swords Dancer
move 1: Swords Dance
move 2: Mach Punch / Drain Punch
move 3: Facade
move 4: Spore
item: Toxic Orb
nature: Adamant / Jolly
ability: Poison Heal
evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

Why Facade with Technician, and I think you got confused while writing the Item.
You probably mean Toxic Orb and Poision Heal I assume?

How can Force Palm be mentioned only as "a move that benefits from Technician"? It could be used on a bulky Sub set, something like Spore / Substitute / Leech Seed / Force Palm, and deserves a slash on the second set. 60 base power + Technician + STAB + 30% paralysis is just too good to be underrated
