[SET COMMENTS]
Brute Bonnett is a specialized, but effective wallbreaker and offensive pivot in PU thanks to its great offensive typing, solid bulk, and great attack stat. Brute Bonnett's choice of dark STAB varies; Crunch is generally stronger and more consistent, but on Brute Bonnett's running Booster Energy, Thief is a solid option as it trades off weaker damage output for the ability to remove an item off of an opposing Pokemon, crippling Pokemon like Rotom-H, Altaria, and Naclstack. Close Combat is solid coverage, targetting opposing Dark-types such as Zoroark and Bombirdier while also hitting Steel-types such as Copperajah and Alolan Sandslash hard. Sucker Punch allows Brute Bonnett to get over its middling Speed stat to revenge kill faster threats such as Galarian Articuno, Ambipom, and Salazzle. With Booster Energy, Brute Bonnett essentially gets a +1 Attack boost if it does not switch out, which allows it to OHKO Rhydon with Seed Bomb. Alternatively, Black Glass provides a smaller boost and exclusively for Dark-type attacks, however it comes at the benefit of not being removed when Brute Bonnett switches out. Heavy-Duty Boots is a final option for general utility, preventing Brute Bonnet from taking entry hazard damage. Tera Poison is a great defensive Tera Type, allowing Brute Bonnett to take on threats such as Florges, Hisuian Decidueye, and Virizion, but it comes at the cost of being weak to Ground- and Psychic-type attacks. An alternative is Tera Dark, boosting the power of Crunch and Sucker Punch, allowing Brute Bonnett to OHKO Tatsugiri after slight chip with Sucker Punch and 3HKO Bellibolt.
Brute Bonnett is a great offensive pivot and threat on offense and hyper-offense teams. Brute Bonnett's weak defensive profile means it apricates having pivots such as Bombirdier, Uxie, and Bruxish to allow it to get onto the battlefield safely. Brute Bonnett can struggle to deal with physically defensive walls such as Altaria, Bellibolt, and Dipplin, so Pokemon who can take these threats on such as Sneasel, Rhydon, and Skuntank all made solid partners. Brute Bonnett's ability to deal with threats such as Rhydon and Wo-Chien benefits partners such as Ambipom, Skuntank, and Tatsugiri. It also enjoys having partners such as Cramorant and Florges who can switch into Fighting-type attacks from the likes of Paldean Tauros-F and Hisuian Decidueye.
