I COULD BE BANNED!

Hi, I am a noob.

I was able to achieve top 6th finish in season 29, so I want to share what I learned.

Before we begin, I want to thank my master, Kevin, who taught me how to use this team.
Thanks to Kevin, Team Noobs become stronger.

*Brainstorming of the team
Theory:
1. Find a strong restricted Pokemonthat can win the game:
I inherited the skill of Miraidon gaming from my master, Kevin, therefore, I decided to use Miraidon.
2. Plan the strategies against meta teams:
Must have game plans for Calyrex-Shadow, Miradion and Koraidon.
I had to follow those two rules because I wanted to achieve good results.

Construction:
1. Scarf Miraidon is strong and could threaten my opponent with fast speed and massive electric damages.
2. Many Miraidon players were using water tera blast to pressure opponent ground types. (Especially Scarf sets)
3. Pressuring opponent teams and achieve "numerical advantages", thus snowballing.
4. In order to do this, I needed the strong cushion that can fit the role of "pivot". Landorus HB with rocky helmet has been chosen for the role.
5. A strong pokemon that could easily defeat opponent ground types, "Chien-Pao with stellar tera".
The core of this team has been completed, and I need other 3 pokemons to cover the team's weaknesses.
A. Assault Vest Ursaluna for countering opponent special attack pokemons, such as Calyrex-Shadow and Miraidion.
B. In order to defeat Ting-lu, Calyrex-Shadow and Dragonite, I decided to use the strategy of Kevin, Mimikyu.
C. Anti - Lunala and Lugia -> Fire Ogerpon.

TheFinalMiraidon_team.jpg

Miraidon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Hadron Engine
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 236 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 12 Spe
Modest Nature
- Electro Drift
- Draco Meteor
- Volt Switch
- Tera Blast

SpA: Must be maxed.
Spe: +1 Timid nature max speed 90s (such as Kyogre, yes, it's same speed as max Spe Jolly Landorus)
HP: maximum bulk as I can give: +2 252+ Atk Sword of Ruin Chien-Pao Sucker Punch vs. 236 HP / 4 Def Miraidon: 163-193 (79.5 - 94.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

The ace of the team. The role is simple. Keeping the pressure.
It was a bit difficult to use Slow Scarf Miraidon however, using bulky Miraidon was the answer I was looking for.
This Miraidon could put so much pressure on the opponents. Using tera blast water to attack ground types, such as Landorus and Ting-lu and from there I could go snowballing the matches.

Chien-Pao @ Focus Sash
Ability: Sword of Ruin
Level: 50
Tera Type: Stellar
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Icicle Crash
- Sucker Punch
- Ice Shard
- Swords Dance

AS Attacker with sash, and my weapon against Koraidon teams.

I have been thinking about using electric tera Pao but in the end, I decided to use stellar.
The role is very simple. "Reverse Sweep" during season 29, This Pao had many opportunities to sweep the entire matches.
I had to use this Pao when I was facing Koraidon.

Landorus-Therian @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
Level: 50
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 27 Spe
- Earthquake
- U-turn
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock

HP and DeF: MAX

SpD: 4 :pikuh:

My stupid pokemon, Landorus.
I had to use this pokemon because I could not use Dragonite on my team and only Landorus could fit for the role of "pivot" and Ground type immunity.
I had to bring this pokemon when I was facing Koraidon, Zacian and any restricted pokemon with Dragonite.

Mimikyu @ Life Orb
Ability: Disguise
Level: 50
Tera Type: Stellar
EVs: 36 HP / 236 Atk / 100 Def / 4 SpD / 132 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Play Rough
- Shadow Sneak
- Swords Dance
- Curse

HP & Def: Skin Dame + Life orb damege + Specialized Pao sucker punch Resistance

Spe: Semi-speed Dragonite

This Mimikyu_set is from season 28 final 7th player's. I have a big problem with memorizing many Japanese players name so forgive me because I could not read this player's name.

Anyway, I liked this set when I saw it and decided to use it for my Miraidon team. Kevin also told me that using Miraidon and Mimikyu together is strong, so I decided to use it.
I changed the Tera type to Stellar and used Swords Dance and Curse.
When I was dealing with Ting-Lu, Calyrex-Shadow, and Dragonite, I used this Mimikyu set so I could win with the Miraidon + Mimikyu pairing.

Ursaluna-Bloodmoon @ Assault Vest
Ability: Mind's Eye
Level: 50
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 60 HP / 196 SpA / 252 SpD
Modest Nature
- Blood Moon
- Earth Power
- Tera Blast
- Vacuum Wave

HP & SpD: 252+ SpA Hadron Engine Miraidon Draco Meteor vs. 60 HP / 252 SpD Assault Vest Ursaluna-Bloodmoon: 115-136 (58.6 - 69.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
SpA: Magic number

Master Kevin's solution for Miraidon mirror matches.

This set is pretty simple. When I see a Miraidon which is faster than mine, I had to send this pokemon.
Steel tera was a very good choice, it can survive Calyrex-Shadow's grass type moves or Miraidon's attacks.
Thank you, Kevin.

Ogerpon-Hearthflame (F) @ Hearthflame Mask
Ability: Mold Breaker
Level: 50
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 220 HP / 156 Atk / 108 Def / 4 SpD / 20 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Ivy Cudgel
- Horn Leech
- Rock Tomb
- Swords Dance

Atk: Magic number
HP & Def: 252+ Atk Choice Band Urshifu-Rapid-Strike Surging Strikes (3 hits) vs. 220 HP / 108 Def Ogerpon-Hearthflame on a critical hit: 162-192 (88.5 - 104.9%) -- 11.3% chance to OHKO
Spe: Semi Speed Dragonite

I knew that my team had very bad matchups against Lunala, Terapagos and Lugia. I decided to use Ogerpon but could not find which set use then Kevin suddenly appeared. transfer this set so I could use it (Thanks again, Kevin.).

With this Ogerpon, I could win against Lunala! ;)

pokemon-20250429-092312-000.jpg

The matchups

Calyrex-Shadow standards (Dragonite, Ting-lu, Alomomola etc.)

Miraidon - Landorus & Ursaluna or Mimikyu

Caly players usually lead Ting-lu or Calyrex. I have to lead Miraidon and from there, the true match begins.
I have to make a choice between Water tera blast or switching. (most of the time I had to use water tera blast.)

Calyrex-Shadow with Swampert

- Very difficult to use Miraidon. the usual lead will be Ogerpon.

Ogerpon - Ursaluna & Mimikyu or Chien-Pao or Miraidon

Koraidon

Luck game. Many bad players use thunder wave Flutter Mane + Scale Shot Koraidon.
Some of them have good teams like Choice items Koraidon with Flutter Mane.

I have to bring the core of the team,

Miraidon - Landorus & Chien-pao.
Landorus - Miraidon & Chien-Pao

I can win, or I can lose, so I don't know how to deal with these Koraidon players. However, I don't think I ever lost against Koraidon teams during the final day of the season.

Kyogre

Miraidon - Chien-Pao & Landorus

I have to win this matchup with pao.
When facing Kyogre, I could win easily when I use the pao.

Zacian

Miraidon - Landorus & Ogerpon

This could be a easy game. Miraidon's water tera could win this game easily and Lando + Ogerpon are strong against Zacian teams.

Lunala (scarf, specs)

Ogerpon - Ursaluna & Landorus or Miraidon

I could win this game easily because when the opponent lead is Lunala, I could switch in to Ursaluna and see what Lunala does. If it uses signature move, you can easily win with Ursaluna's Blood Moon because opponent has to switch. I go snowballing from there. ;)

Eternatus

Can not win against Eternatus. If the Eternatus player is bad, I could win but if the player has same skill as I am or very good at using Eternatus, I lose.
I have to lead Miraidon.

Miraidon - Chien-Pao & Ursaluna

Conclusion
Season26_top6.jpg

I am very happy that I could achieve a single-digit finish, but I want to learn more about BSS because I want to improve my skill.
I want to thank Kevin again for teaching me how to use Miraidon.

Regulation G sucks,

Thank you so much for reading this. I have some issues with writing, so I am sorry that my English is bad(Even writing in Korean is difficult for me.)

As a noob, I want to be stronger!
See you next time. ^^
