A Pokemon with Scrappy that can use Brick Break (I was using a Kangaskhan), can not break the screens of a Ghost type.

https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8ou-1260489403

The description of Brick Break is "Destroys screens, unless the target is immune". Scrappy bypasses the immunity of the Dragapult, so that means the immunity is ignored, and screens are supposed to break. Versus a regular target all present screens that are set up will break- this is not the case with the Scrappy Kangaskhan vs. Dragapult situation. I'm totally sure this is a bug since it may have not been coded into PS properly or am I just dumb?

If you can only use Struggle, you cannot Dynamax, Mega Evolve, or use a Z-move.
Replay (Turns 18-20): https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8unratedrandombattle-1260774644

Unless I'm misreading/misunderstanding that behavior, once CB Urshifu's Sucker Punch gets disabled it shouldn't be able to dynamax because it can only use Struggle. For whatever reason I was able to dynamax except I used Struggle on the first turn, then the next turn I was free to use my Max Moves.

The UI showed something different (pictures under hide tag) than what what actually happened in the battlebecause once I chose to Dynamax (which I shouldn't have been able to) Struggle changed to become a normal-type Max Darkness, even though the move actually executed is Struggle. Afterwards the Dynamax moves displayed normally and I was able to use them, as shown in the replay. Some pictures included under the hide tag.
1610504880279.png

Displays what I see when I can only struggle, but Dynamax is still click-able

1610505070999.png

Once I choose to dynamax, I get the option to use Max Darkness (because my first move was dark-type, I tried it with Close Combat as the first move and the text changed to Max Knuckle), but as seen from the replay this just attacks with Struggle

1610505503568.png

When trying to recreate this (using a Dark-type move in the first slot), I realized that upon hovering it actually displays the info for Max Strike (also displays as a normal-type move), which is another inconsistency.

Not sure if this was reported before but there is an issue with how tooltip works for past gens for what I assume is all moves.

The moves on the tooltip for past gens uses the gen 8 descriptions which can be quite misleading for several people in battle.

I've tested in all gens but here are a few with Rapid Spin and Knock Off. The power of the moves are correct but tooltip just uses the gen 8 descriptions instead of their current gen mechanic descriptions.

I have a bug that is quite annoying in the balanced hackmons tier (a somewhat common set abuses this).
According to the Bulbapedia pages for both perish song and soundproof:
"Pokémon with Soundproof are no longer immune to their own moves; consequently, if a Pokémon uses Perish Song, it will now gain a perish count even if it has Soundproof."
Pokemon showdown does not behave this way. Here is a replay to illustrate
And an example of how this bug technically exists outside of BH

PPs don't deplete after the first use when using Sleep Talk with a locking item in DPP.
This is most likely related to Sleep Talk always failing when used multiple times with a locking item.

Since this is an awkward behaviour on an older generation I tested it on cartridge, PPs do deplete, and it does make you struggle when it hits 0.

On Sim, you just get to click Sleep Talk as many times as you want :
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen4ubers-1261471016-as3bggug5orerr8w1ifyswzz335cg5epw
(PPs deplete on the public tooltip but not on the actual user's side, you can go to as much negative PPs as you want)

BUG STATUS: CONFIRMED - MECHANICS (SERVER), thanks for the cartridge footage! (DaWoblefet)

i was playing a game of gen 8 ou, and burned obstagoon on the switch, he is at full health and none of his moved are revealed, so it's the frist time he's switched in, and his item was revealed as flame orb? this is weird, i dont think there was any reason for his item to be revealed, https://pokepast.es/b38f43b748db1899 is the team i was running, so i had no way to reveal items to my knowledge. i dont have a replay saved unfortunately. i tried to recreate the bug but it didnt work?

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, it was revealed because Flame Orb burned the Obstagoon. If you can get a replay showcasing otherwise, that would be helpful (DaWoblefet)

I forgot to save the replay, but the ssbb move "Looking Cool" is marked as bounceable when using "/dt", but did not actually bounce when used against Averardo, who should have Magic Bounce incorporated into its ability.

Hi ! I found a bug in shared power : if you have pressure and stamina, pressure will no longer work after stamina is activated.
I have a replay :
https://replay.pokemonshowdown.com/gen8sharedpower-1264546075-3g5vkrghqb0qc16mv2vn9gmsi5kghcypw
Turn 7 i send corviknight
Turn 8 i switch, pressure works well, stamina boosts my def
Turn 9 pressure doesnt works on knock off.
I dont know if the issue only works with stamina but i hope you will fix it !

This is a visual bug, I've fought against Pressure + Stamina teams and it causes the tooltip to say only one PP was depleted, but actually being on the side that loses PP, i can confirm that multiple PP are lost.

Here I come with the weekly "Only relevant in DPP AG/DPP Ubers allowing Farc bug but I support it with footage in case someone bothers fixing it cause I like the tier"

While Arceus is untrickable in DPP thanks to Multitype, even when not holding a plate, PS allows it to be tricked in case it's item-less (Lum Berry most likely)

On cartridge, Multitype prevents it from being tricked even when it isn't holding an item.

Cartridge footage cause I love doing those! And it might be needed so here it is.

hello here is the replay of the match where I found the following bug.

I had 2 speed/priority bugs in this battle.
I have a talonflame with gale wings I'm against a hawlucha (unburden) on electric field (he has 670 speed, said my opponent).
I use brave bird (I go first), he survives with 3% and uses sword dance
I try to use brave bird, he goes first with acrobatics => I don't see any mecanic that would allow this behaviour.

BUG STATUS: NOT A BUG, since Gen 7, Gale Wings only activates on full HP. (Dawn of Ares)

later in the battle I removed kartana's choice band with knock off then died.
I send salazzle which is faster than kartana if not holding item (it's first kill boosted its attack). kartana outspeed's me again
edit: this second problem is my bad it's a modest salazzle

Thanks in advance for your time

The Official Glyx

Banned deucer.
Context: A mock draft for the upcoming 1v1 Premier League was being hosted in a subroomgroupchat of the main 1v1 room.

Issue: I appear to be unable to talk in the modchatted subroomgroupchat despite already having Mod rank from the main 1v1 room, even after being promoted to Voice in the subroom.

1611254487682.png

Seemingly nobody else had this issue, so I dunno if it's a sitewide thing or something on my end, I'm mostly just curious to know what happened here. I was able to talk after being promoted to Bot.

BUG STATUS: NEEDS MORE INFO, I could not reproduce this with a VGC roommod (no global auth) in the VGC room, and two mods with global voice in two other independent rooms. (DaWoblefet)

In a DUU match on the Windows Pokémon Showdown! app, a Suicune's scald brought my Snorlax down to 0.6%. However, after that, Snorlax's HP continued to report as 163/522 despite being at only a sliver of health. I'm including both a screenshot of the bug, and a replay since despite the fact that specific HP numbers remain hidden to spectators, I'd have to assume it'd be helpful to see the events leading up to the glitch.

I noticed all LGPE moves are learnable by smeargle, but this should not be possible:
(Smeargle does not exist in LGPE + moves are non-transferable)

Teambuilder already addresses that the move is not learnable, but it still shows on /dexsearch:

Hidden Power is currently showing as "undefined" in the description when you hover over the move in battle. In teambuilder, it also shows as illegal, no matter the gen I pick it in. I assume both errors are related. The move works as normal, and functions correctly, but they appear as illegal in teambuilder or undefined in battle.
Screenshot_38.png
Move still functions correctly - just a graphical bug, i assume
Screenshot_39.png
move validates properly - just a graphical bug as well, i assume

BUG STATUS: FIXED at some point

Greetings, there seems to be a bug with /poll htmlcreate that makes the links not work as they should.

I wrote this for a poll :
Code:
As a result when we started it in the french room, the text of the hyperlink was blue, but it was unclickable. Though I had tested it on another server beforehand and it worked fine, which wasn't a surprise since it's how I've done html polls for years, so I assume that the issue comes from Showdown.

I've also tested on Showdown to start the following poll :
Code:
/poll htmlcreate <a href="google.com">test</a> | test | yes
And the result was that clicking on the link tried to redirect to "https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/google.com", which isn't how it should behave either. I tried changing the |s into commas just in case the issue could've come from there, but that didn't solve anything.

EDIT: Antorot did some tests and found out that the "www." part seemed to cause an issue. Indeed, the following poll works fine:
Code:

BUG STATUS: NEEDS MORE INFO / NOT A BUG, I cannot reproduce the issue with the www.smogon.com link failing (the first HTML poll) in Chrome or Firefox on Windows, so I would need to see exactly what made it "unclickable".

The second thing with href = "google.com" linking to https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/google.com is expected behavior for relative URLs in HTML. That's just how browsers behave, nothing to do with Showdown (and it's why when linking out to other sites, it's best to copy->paste the URL). (DaWoblefet)
