There's a permission issue with the command /roomauth and the Whitelist rank;
The whitelist rank is meant to be seen by staff only. I'm sure about the reason why it's like that, but when you do /roomauth [name], it checks for your auth in the room you've used the command in, not for the room you're checking the auth of. For example, if I do /roomauth youtube in Help, I'll be able to see their whitelist due to being Help staff. Though if I type it in YouTube, I no longer see the whitelist. Similarly, if I type /roomauth [a room that I staff] in a room that I hold no staff rank in, I am not able to see the whitelist. This include private rooms, you can see any room's whitelist if you're auth in the place you type the command in.
