Cinderace @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 224 HP / 32 Atk / 252 Spe
Tera Type: Fire / Flying
Jolly Nature
- Pyro Ball
- U-turn
- Will-O-Wisp
- Court Change

[SET COMMENTS]

Cinderace functions as an excellent bulky pivot thanks to its great Speed tier, serviceable bulk, and access to support moves such as Court Change and Will-O-Wisp. Cinderace can force out important offensive threats like Gholdengo, Iron Valiant, and bulky Volcarona with the threat of STAB Pyro Ball while keeping up momentum against defensive switch-ins with U-turn. Will-O-Wisp allows Cinderace to cripple physical attackers such as Kingambit, Roaring Moon, Dragonite, and Great Tusk, and it can also negate Leftovers for defensive Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Toxapex, and Ting-Lu. Specifically, Will-O-Wisp offers a safe way for Cinderace to check Kingambit, since it avoids Sucker Punch mindgames. Finally, Court Change offers unmatched utility in providing entry hazard control that cannot be blocked by Gholdengo and is also able to steal opposing dual screens. The 32 Attack EVs guarantee a KO on Gholdengo sets lacking defensive investment. Although this set rarely wants to Terastallize, Tera Fire can potentially come in handy for securing KOs with Pyro Ball, especially with a Blaze boost. Alternatively, Tera Flying grants Cinderace an immunity to Ground-type attacks, such as Great Tusk's Earthquake, which can grant it extra opportunities to KO foes or cripple them with Will-O-Wisp. Tera Flying also matches up well against common Ground-type hazard setters such as Ting-Lu and Great Tusk, letting Cinderace safely Court Change against them.

This set works best on bulkier teams where Cinderace's ability to guarantee hazard removal shines. Defensive Pokemon such as Dondozo, Slowking, Toxapex, and Amoonguss are great teammates, as they appreciate Cinderace's ability to ensure hazard removal, freeing them up to run items other than Heavy-Duty Boots. Water-types such as Dondozo and Toxapex have notably strong synergy with Cinderace; Dondozo checks Great Tusk, Tera Fire Kingambit, and Baxcalibur, while Toxapex can check Water-types, such as Walking Wake and Greninja. Hazard-weak breakers such as Baxcalibur, Iron Moth, and Choice Band Dragonite also fit well with Cinderace, as it's able to bring them in with U-turn. These breakers also enjoy bulky Water-types like Toxapex or Dondozo being burnt, making it easier to overwhelm them long-term. Cinderace usually requires the presence of another hazard control Pokemon such as Great Tusk, Hatterene, or Corviknight so it doesn't get overwhelmed. Corviknight synergizes especially well with Cinderace thanks to its Ground immunity and ability to absorb Knock Off from Meowscarada, which outspeeds Cinderace. Skeledirge and Dragapult can take advantage of bulky Cinderace, since both completely wall it and can potentially set up a Substitute. Kingambit is a great partner, as it can offensively check both Skeledirge and Dragapult. In return, it appreciates Cinderace burning Great Tusk and Ting-Lu, opening up the way for it to sweep.

Cinderace can force out important offensive threats like Gholdengo, Iron Valiant, and Bulky Volcarona with the threat of STAB Pyro Ball while still being able to keep up momentum against defensive switch-ins with U-Turn. Although this set rarely wants to Terrastalize, Tera Fire can potentially come in handy for securing KOs with Pyro Ball. Alternatively, Tera Flying grants Cinderace with an immunity to Ground-type attacks such as Great Tusk's Earthquake that can grant it extra opportunities to KO foes or cripple them with Will-O-Wisp. (Something like this could work for Tera Flying)

You could add a quick mention for Blaze. Can even fit it alongside Tera Fire tbh

Will-O-Wisp allows Cinderace to cripple physical attackers such as Kingambit, Roaring Moon, Dragonite, Great Tusk (mention how it's a safe move to click on kingambit to bypass sucker cause technically you can just pyro ball it) and can also negate Leftovers for defensive Pokemon such as Rotom-W, Toxapex and Ting-Lu. Finally, Court Change offers unmatched utility in providing hazard control that cannot be blocked by Gholdengo and also being able to steal opposing Reflect and Light Screens. (also lets you match up better against hazard stacking builds overall) 32 Attack EVs allow Cinderace to guarantee the kill on Gholdengo without defensive investment. Although this set rarely wants to Terrastalize, Tera Fire can potentially come in handy for securing KOs with Pyro Ball especially with a potential Blaze boost. Alternatively, Tera Flying grants Cinderace with an immunity to Ground-type attacks such as Great Tusk's Earthquake that can grant it extra opportunities to KO foes or cripple them with Will-O-Wisp. (mention how it's a typing that generally matches well against hazard setters like tusk chomp tinglu so it fits with your court change antics)

Defensive pokemon such as Dondozo, Slowking, Toxapex and Amoonguss are great teammates, as they appreciate Cinderace's ability to ensure hazard removal and also being able to check Gholdengo. Hazard-weak breakers such as Baxcalibur, Iron Moth, Choice Band Dragonite also fit well with Cinderace being able to bring them in with U-Turn. (mention how they loves cinder's ability to spread burns on bulky waters) Cinderace usually requires the presence of another hazard control Pokemon such as Great Tusk, Hatterene, and Corviknight so it doesnt get overwhelmed long term. (mention how corv also switches into knock off from meow and tusk so you can keep ace's boots, especially cause meow is one of the few hazard setters that can keep it up against ace due to faster speed + taunt) Skeledirge and Dragapult can take advantage of bulky Cinderace since both completely wall it and can potentially set up a Substitute. Kingambit can offensively check both Skeledirge and Dragapult. In return, it appreciates Cinderace being able to burn Great Tusk and Ting-Lu opening up the way for it to sweep.

Cinderace functions as an excellent bulky pivot thanks to its great Speed tier, serviceable bulk and access to support moves such as Court Change and Will-O-Wisp. Cinderace can force out important offensive threats like Gholdengo, Iron Valiant, and Bbulky Volcarona (Unnecessary capitalization) with the threat of STAB Pyro Ball while still being able to keep up momentum against defensive switch-ins with U-Turn. The 32 Attack EVs allow Cinderace to guarantee the a kill on Gholdengo without sets lacking defensive investment. (The way you phrased it before made it sound like Cinderace had to run at least 32 Attack EVs as long as it didn't have any defense investment.) Although this set rarely wants to Terrastalize, Tera Fire can potentially come in handy for securing KOs with Pyro Ball, especially with a potential Blaze boost. Alternatively, Tera Flying grants Cinderace with an immunity to Ground-type attacks such as Great Tusk's Earthquake that can grant it extra opportunities to KO foes or cripple them with Will-O-Wisp. Defensive pokemon such as Dondozo, Slowking, Toxapex, and Amoonguss are great teammates, as they appreciate Cinderace's ability to ensure hazard removal, freeing them up to run items apart from Heavy-Duty Boots. (Minor restructuring might help here, as this is a run-on sentence.) Water-types such as Dondozo and Toxapex have notably strong synergy with Cinderace, with Dondozo checking Great Tusk, Tera Fire Kingambit, and Baxcalibur, while Toxapex can check Water-types such as Walking Wake and Greninja. Hazard-weak breakers such as Baxcalibur, Iron Moth, and Choice Band Dragonite also fit well with Cinderace, being as it's able to bring them in with U-Turn. (Previous phrasing was pretty ambiguous.) Each of these breakers also enjoy bulky Water-types like Toxapex or Dondozo being burnt and , making it easier to overwhelm them long-term. Cinderace usually requires the presence of another hazard control Pokemon such as Great Tusk, Hatterene, and or Corviknight so it doesnt get overwhelmed long term. (You already used "long-term" to end the previous sentence, so this would be jarring and repetitive.) Corviknight synergizes especially well with Cinderace thanks to its Ground-type immunity and ability to absorb Knock Off from Meowscarada, which outspeeds Cinderace. Skeledirge and Dragapult can take advantage of bulky Cinderace since both completely wall it and can potentially set up a Substitute. Kingambit acts as a great partner, as it can offensively check both Skeledirge and Dragapult. (Was vague before. This is still a sort-of subjective change, though.) GP 1/1 GP Team done, credit both of us. Sorry for the color readability being difficult, I used strikethroughs to help but I can redo the check with only my colors if it's too tough to read.
