CDBurnerXP Pro (Windows, Free)
Nero alternative. Works awesome. -Sanders

DeepBurner (Windows, Free)
What I said before. -Sanders

FireStarter FX (Mac, Free)
Great burning application for Mac, with tons of functionality. -Sanders

Nero (Windows, Trial/Pay)
This is probably the best burning software out there. It can automatically convert mp3s to wavs for burning music CDs. It can do any sort of burning operation that you could ever think of. -Justin8649

Alcohol 120% (Windows, Trial/Pay) (Cost: $38)
Image ripping/burning software, also supports image mounting. Required to burn/mount proprietary .mds/.mdf format, also supports .bin/.cue, .iso, and .ccd formats and can burn/mount .nrg formats - Kikuichimonji

There should be no pay software on these lists, lol. There is nothing a paid software can do that open source/freeware can't. Nero is also bloatware.

The problem with CDBurnerXP Pro is that it can't burn BIN images (commonly used for VCD's), only ISO's. You have to convert to ISO first, which is a big annoyance.

I recommend InfraRecorder, which is a lightweight open souce program that can do it all...

Roxio (Windows, Paid)
In my opinion, one of the best burners out there with the paid option. It's costly, but unlike the other paid craps out there, I think this one's better.

InfraRecorder(Windows, Free/Open-Source)
It functions like many free burners, but this one is just different in many ways.

Power2Go(Windows, Trial-Pay)
It's alright, but I'd prefer Roxio more.

I like this one:

IMGBurn (Windows + Linux while in WINE, free): IMGburn is a free burning software for CD/DVD/HD DVD and Blu-ray DVDs. It is very lightweight and fast, and best of all FREE.
