Cacturne opinions

Hey everyone, I'm setting up a sandstorm team and while looking for pokemon i realised that Cacturne is the only poke to get sand immunity other than rock, steel and ground types, heres my moveset that i might create

Cacturne w-Bright powder
adamant 252 attack - 128 speed 128 hp (or 252 speed 6HP)
Sucker punch
Teeter dance/sand attack
leech seed
substitute

A typical sub-seeder set. Set up the substitute and the leech seed, if sucessful i can either

A) sand attack - with sand veil, cacturns evasion goes up one level in the sandstorm (i'm running hippowdon as well) and with sand attack, there accuracy is decreased, major annoyance to the opposing player and more recovery for myself

B) Teeter dance - by using teeter dance i confuse myself at the same time as the opposing pokemon, but with sandstorm, leech seed and then a possible confusion, the opposing player is racking up alot of indirect damage.

-------

Sucker punch is there because in order to break my substitute, they have to use there attacking moves, 115 base attack sucker punch with stab is not something to laugh at, and plus it's gets priority, canceling out cacturnes poor speed.

So to summarize, in sandstorm cacturne comes to frighten waters away, sub-seeds and ups the annoyance factor to an extreme level with it's evasion.

So thats it, suggestions? insights? insults?

Why 128/128? It looks like you just split it down the middle.

Don't do that. Do calculations to find a better spread. Check to see if 128 HP EVs would let you take any hits you wouldn't be able to otherwise, and if not consider how many you'd have to add. Then consider what you want to outspeed and think about how many speed EVs you'd need. A good EV spread takes a lot of research, and any time you see one split down the middle like that it's almost certainly bad.

I don't recommend sand attack or teeter dance, by the way. Lowering a foe's accuracy just means they can switch out to fix it, and sand attack doesn't do enough damage to justify using it that way. Confusion isn't nearly helpful enough. You can make better use of that move slot. You could try focus punch since you're subbing (I think Cacturne gets that but I never use him so I'm not positive), or perhaps something else for STAB. Check the analysis for better options.

Brightpowder is a terrible option. If you're going with a SubSeeder, you'd want leftovers most likely. You also need max speed to outrun and sub before as much as you can. Sand Attack is useless. Most people use Counter / Sucker Punch / Seed Bomb / Swords Dance w/ a Focus Sash, and that works very well. Cacturne is quite a slow SubSeeder.

I dont wanna ruin your topic, but Clefable with Magic Guard is immune to it too. and not only that: its immune to stealth rock, life orb recoil, recoil attacks, poison, fire (not the attack lowering though), whatever.

but let's see your Cacturne. sand attack is frowned apon, I think (accuracy move). a subseeder should be fast, or must take a hit and easily survive. since his defences aren't that great, and he ain't that fast, you should look to his offences more. if you really want to use substitute though, i think you can put Focus punch in there instead of sandattack or teeter dance. sucker punch is also a good move, I think, because its a priority move. and isntead of leech seed I would put in a seed bomb, or energy ball/grass knot/anything special.

I don't know much about cacturne, but that's how i would use a cacturne with substitute

Try harder next time. The moveset you're suggesting is nothing that someone has not thought of before, and it is hardly worth discussing either.
