Moves

Psychic is preferred on Fightinium Z variants for the added power and reliability against physically defensive walls. However, Psyshock is also a plausible option with Psychium Z, as it targets most notably Chansey and enables Tapu Lele to have a better matchup against stall teams and Assault Vest Magearna in conjunction with Calm Mind. Moonblast is yet another STAB move and hits Dark-types without the need of risking missing Focus Blast, as well as Psychic-types such as Mega Latias, Mew, Mega Latios, and Reuniclus. Focus Blast targets the Steel-types that annoy Tapu Lele such as Heatran and Ferrothorn. It can be boosted into All-Out Pummeling alongside Fightinium Z, which even neutral targets such as Celesteela, Magearna, Mega Scizor, and Jirachi can drop to after previous damage and at +1. Calm Mind enables Tapu Lele to be much more of a nuisance to bulkier teams and most importantly stall, letting it take care of the likes of Chansey and most importantly Mega Aggron.

Set Details
========

Fightinium Z is the preferred Z-Crystal, as it gives Tapu Lele a far easier time against the likes of Heatran, Ferrothorn, and Mega Scizor while still being slightly stronger than Psychic against most Fighting-neutral Steel-types. Psychium Z, on the other hand, gives Tapu Lele more leeway to run Psyshock, as Shattered Psyche targets foes' Special Defense, and it does only slightly less damage than All-Out Pummeling on to the likes of Magearna and Celesteela. However, giving up Fightinium Z means Tapu Lele isn't breaking past Mega Aggron stall as easily, and it will have a harder time against Heatran and Ferrothorn.

Usage Tips
========

Before using Calm Mind in vain, try to weaken would-be targets so that they're in range of +1 All-Out Pummeling. This obviously doesn't apply to Heatran and Ferrothorn, but the likes of Celesteela, Magearna, and Jirachi need plenty of prior damage to drop, so try to weaken them and prevent the former two from recovering as much as you can. On a similar note, be careful around Protect from Celesteela and Jirachi, as they can use it to burn up your Z-Move and preferably switch out if you're expecting a Protect. The same thing applies for Psychium Z variants, but they need extra effort to break past Heatran and Ferrothorn and can't overcome specially defensive Jirachi at all. Tapu Lele can set up on Pokemon it forces out such as slower physical walls and wallbreakers as well as passive Pokemon that don't really threaten it, such as Toxapex lacking Toxic, Clefable without Thunder Wave, and Mega Latias without Thunder Wave. Against more offensive teams, though, Tapu Lele find little room to set up, so often just throwing attacks and an eventual Z-Move to weaken the likes of Assault Vest Magearna and Choice Scarf Jirachi might be ideal. Avoid letting Tapu Lele get inflicted by Toxic, especially against semi-stall and stall teams, as it makes Tapu Lele a lot easier to play around.

Team Options
========

Teammates that appreciate Tapu Lele weakening the opposing team's Steel-types are greatly appreciated. Mega Alakazam is a notable example—especially Knock Off Mega Alakazam—as it also makes great use of Psychic Terrain, making it a lot easier to get past Magearna and Celesteela. Other teammates like Magearna, Kartana, Greninja, and Mega Mawile also fulfill a similar role of pressuring Steel-types. When building with Tapu Lele, keep in mind you also provide Psychic Terrain for your opponent, so having sturdier backbones to the likes of Mega Medicham and Mega Alakazam are extremely important. For Mega Medicham, having a defensive core such as Tapu Fini + Tornadus-T greatly helps to ensure your team is safe against it. For Mega Alakazam, sturdier checks like Assault Vest Magearna or Celesteela should do the trick. Magnezone can rid Tapu Lele of Celesteela, Mega Scizor, and even weaken Assault Vest Magearna a bit if need be; however, Magnezone pairs better with Psychium Z variants, as Fightium Z can usually overwhelm Steel-types alongside another breaker. Spikes from teammates such as both Greninja formes and Ferrothorn are always welcomed too, as they help wearing down Magearna and Jirachi. Lastly, pivots such as Landorus-T, Assault Vest Magearna, Tornadus-T, and Rotom-W pair well with Tapu Lele, as it appreciates the momentum they provide.

i feel that taunt is the preferred 4th move and should be slashed before calm mind as most common switch-ins are 2hkoed and taunt will stop set-up, hazards and defog as well as chansey's recovery and wish protect stalling shenanigans for jirachi and clefable.

If anything, Calm Mind is the better option and Taunt should be deslashed and relegated to moves. Calm Mind is insanely useful for a variety of reasons, particularly that it enables you to be effective against both offensive and defensive teams, with +1 Psyshock 2HKOing Chansey as well as a lot of other stuff like how +1 Lele can OHKO AVTar on more bulky offensive teams. Obviously taunt has its uses, but Calm Mind is just a lot more useful in general for its ability to allow Lele to basically have a Choice Specs boost to bust past opposing teams.

  • Psychic is preffered on Fightium Z Fightinium Z variants for the added power and the reliability against physically defensive walls. Like? Fwiw, I think it's moreso that a boosted All-Out Pummeling already smashes through Chansey, although that can be played around, leaving Psyshock as a more reliable option if desired.
  • However, Psyshock is also a plausible option as it targets most notably Chansey, enabling Tapu Lele to handle Stall teams in conjunction with Calm Mind, but also Assault Vest Magearna.
  • Moonblast is yet another STAB move and hits Dark-types without the need of risking Focus Blast as well as Psychic-types. If this was a Choice-locked Tapu Lele I'd consider this a lot more relevant, it's mostly fluff now so try to give it a bit more content (mention what Psychic-types for example).
  • Focus Blast targets the Steel-types that annoy Tapu Lele such as Heatran and Ferrothorn. Even neutral targets such as Celesteela, Magearna, and Jirachi can drop after previous damage and/or at +1. You mean to a boosted All-Out Pummeling after prior chip right.
  • Calm Mind enables Tapu Lele to be much more of a nuisance to bulkier teams letting it take care of the likes of Chansey, Specially Defensive Mew, and most importantly Mega Aggron.
Set Details
========

  • Fightium Z Fightinium Z is the preferred Z-Crystal as it gives Tapu Lele a far easier time against the likes of Heatran, Ferrothorn and Mega Aggron, while still being slightly stronger than Psychic against most Fighting-neutral Steel-types.
  • Psychium Z, on the other hand, gives Tapu Lele more leeway to run Psyshock as Shattered Psyche still targets foe on the special end and it does only slightly less damage than All-Out Pumelling on the likes of Magearna and Celesteela. However, giving up Figthium Z Fightinium Z means Tapu Lele isn't breaking past Mega Aggron Stall as easily, and it will have a harder time against Heatran and Ferrothorn. It still can, but it needs a lot more prior chip damage/Spikes support to do that.
Usage Tips
========

  • Before using Calm Mind in vain, try to weaken would-be targets so that they're in range of +1 All-Out Pumelling. This obviously doesn't apply to Heatran and Ferrothorn but the likes of Celesteela, Magearna, and Jirachi need plenty of prior damage to drop, so try to weaken them and prevent the former two from recovering as much as you can, as their sole recovery means are somewhat exploitable, in Leech Seed and Pain Split, respectively. On a similar note, be careful around Protect from Celesteela and Jirachi as they can use it to burn up your Z-move and then?.
  • Same thing applies for Psychium Z variants, but they need extra effort to break past Heatran and Ferrothorn. Additionally, there's absolutely no way to break specially defensive Jirachi at all.
  • Sometimes an opponent will try to switch a Dark-type into a predicted Psychic, Psyshock, or even worse a Shattered Psyche if you're running that move, so make sure to ponderate the risk of letting such a Pokémon in and throw in an occasional Moonblast amongst all the Psychics to dissuade your opponent to make such a play. Mention that this is especially true if Tapu Lele's set is unrevealed. Also, this is more of a GP thing, but this bit doesn't really read like an analysis due to some of the wording.
Team Options
========

  • Teammates that appreciate Tapu Lele weakening the opposing team's Steel-types are greatly appreciated. Mega Alakazam is a notable example as it also makes great use of Psychic Terrain and so is Magearna as it shares a plethora of checks with Tapu Lele. You could mention that Knock Off Mega Alakazam is especially useful in this regard.
  • When building with Tapu Lele keep in mind you also provide Psychic Terrain for your opponent, so having sturdier backbones to the likes of Mega Medicham and Mega Alakazam are extremely important. For Mega Medicham having a defensive core such as Tapu Fini and Volcarona Note that Volcarona will never burn the Mega Medicham with Misty Terrain up, so I'm not really sure how practical this core is in this regard. or Slowbro and Tornadus-T greatly helps to ensure your team is safe against Mega Medicham under Psychic Terrain. For Mega Alakazam, sturdier checks like Assault Vest Magearna or Celestela should do the trick.
  • Magnezone can rid Tapu Lele of Celesteela and even weaken Assault Vest Magearna a bit if need be.
  • Spikes from teammates such as both Greninja forms and Ferrothorn are always welcomed too, as they help wearing down Magearna and Jirachi.
I'd like to look over this once more after this is implemented, hit me up on Discord whenever you're done with that, pretty solid stuff all around.

Calm Mind enables Tapu Lele to be much more of a nuisance to bulkier teams letting it take care of the likes of Chansey, Specially Defensive Mew, and most importantly Mega Aggron.
Given the examples I'd probably just say "stall teams" since you dont really see them elsewhere (apart from chansey ig)

Before using Calm Mind in vain, try to weaken would-be targets so that they're in range of +1 All-Out Pumelling. On a similar note, be careful around Protect from Celesteela and Jirachi as they can use it to burn up your Z-move.
I'd definitely mention somewhere that Lele should always avoid getting Toxiced before its checks/counters are weakened enough, especially against stall since that'd give them more room to outplay and beat it.

Magnezone can rid Tapu Lele of Celesteela and even weaken Assault Vest Magearna a bit if need be.
Trapping M-sciz is cool too. It probably runs more spdef now and lives +1 z fight

  • Psychic is preffered on Fightinium Z variants for the added power and the reliability against physically defensive walls and All-Out Pummelling already targets Chansey.
    just remove the last section about chansey to make it sweet and to the point, even at +1 it can heal damage from aop & you're better off saving that for the steel-type
  • However, Psyshock is also a plausible option on Psychium Z as it targets most notably Chansey, enabling Tapu Lele to handle Stall teams in conjunction with Calm Mind, but also Assault Vest Magearna.
    change from handle --> have a better matchup; handle makes it sound like you always beat them (stall teams & av mage), which you don't necessarily
  • Moonblast is yet another STAB move and hits Dark-types without the need of risking Focus Blast as well as Psychic-types such as Mega Latias, Mew, and Mega Latios.
  • Focus Blast targets the Steel-types that annoy Tapu Lele such as Heatran and Ferrothorn. It can be boosted into All-Out Pummelling alongside a Fightinium Z, that even neutral targets such as Celesteela, Magearna, and Jirachi can drop after previous damage and at +1.
    mention mega scizor in second part
  • Calm Mind enables Tapu Lele to be much more of a nuisance to bulkier teams but most importantly stall, letting it take care of the likes of Chansey, Specially Defensive Mew, and most importantly Mega Aggron.
    I'd honestly remove spdef mew from here, in a 1v1 situation vs a mew with eq you actually lose to it

    replace mega aggron with mega scizor, zor has been increasingly more popular
  • Psychium Z, on the other hand, gives Tapu Lele more leeway to run Psyshock as Shattered Psyche still targets foe on the special end and it does only slightly less damage than All-Out Pumelling on the likes of Magearna and Celesteela. way too much fluff in here (see parenthesis), try to condense this
  • Same thing applies for Psychium Z variants, but they need extra effort to break past Heatran and Ferrothorn and can't overcome specially defensive Jirachi at all.
  • Avoid letting Tapu Lele get struck by Toxic, especially against semi-stall and stall teams, as it makes Tapu Lele a lot easier to deal with.

    this is really barren right now, there's a lot more that you can say about using tapu lele. what should you try to set up on? when should/shouldn't you set up? when should you use your z move vs offensive teams? for example, against an offensive team with mons faster than lele bar like tangrowth, you're usually better off not setting up. add points on the above + also about lele's versatility too & how it can effectively use a variety of items to bluff z move

    mega zam is a good example yes but a psyspam team is role constrained, add other examples that you see on more popular offensive teams like mmaw, greninja, and kart which all synergize rly well with it offensively
  • When building with Tapu Lele keep in mind you also provide Psychic Terrain for your opponent, so having sturdier backbones to the likes of Mega Medicham and Mega Alakazam are extremely important. For Mega Medicham having a defensive core such as Slowbro and Tornadus-T greatly helps to ensure your team is safe against it under Psychic Terrain. For Mega Alakazam, sturdier checks like Assault Vest Magearna or Celestela should do the trick.
    replace slowbro with something more fitting, slowbro + lele is something I've never seen & sounds like a terrible idea in a tier with ash-ninja
  • Magnezone can rid Tapu Lele of Celesteela, Mega Scizor, and even weaken Assault Vest Magearna a bit if need be.
    I'd probably specify zone is better on psych z variants since fight z + zone is a bit redundant since you're targeting these with fight z anyway, I'd rather have another offensive partner at that point
  • Spikes from teammates such as both Greninja forms and Ferrothorn are always welcomed too, as they help wearing down Magearna and Jirachi.

    add a point about pivots being really good for lele (landorus-t, av mage, rotom-w) because lele appreciates coming in for free on something it can calm mind on instead of having to take a hit to come in
check is in the quote, 2/3 when fully implemented

Add Reuniclus.

Nitpicky, but maybe say "easier to play around" since it's still as threatening but not for as long.

Mega Alakazam is a notable example as it also makes great use of Psychic Terrain and so is Magearna as it shares a plethora of checks with Tapu Lele. Especially Knock Off Mega Alakazam, making it a lot easier to get past Magearna and Celesteela.
These sentences sound weird, not sure if it counts as a GP thing but I think you can re-word it.

You also mention Magearna again in the next sentence which seems unecessary.

========

Teammates that appreciate Tapu Lele weakening the opposing team's Steel-types are greatly appreciated. Mega Alakazam is a notable example—especially Knock Off Mega Alakazam—,[remove]as it also makes great use of Psychic Terrain, especially Knock Off Mega Alakazam, making it a lot easier to get past Magearna and Celesteela. Lastly, pivots such as Landorus-T, Assault Vest Magearna, Tornadus-T, and Rotom-W pair well with Tapu Lele, as it appreciates the momentum it they provides.
