Calyrex-Shadow @ Choice Scarf
Ability: As One (Spectrier)
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Astral Barrage
- Psyshock
- Trick
- Aromatherapy / Nasty Plot

Riding onto the stage is Calyrex-S, the top dog (or rather, horse) in the Ubers metagame! Choice Scarf Calyrex-S is a phenomenal set, taking advantage of its high Speed tier to check Sticky Web teams as well as threatening sweepers like Dragon Dance Zekrom. Its dual STAB moves hit a majority of the tier for neutral coverage, with Psyshock hitting Blissey harder than anything else. Trick cripples a predicted switch-in such as defensive Yveltal or Zarude. Aromatherapy provides cleric support with or without Choice Scarf, while Nasty Plot makes Calyrex-S more immediately threatening after locking Yveltal into Roost with Trick. As Calyrex-S dislikes the presence of opposing Dark-types like Yveltal or Tyranitar, Pokemon that can wear them down such as Eternatus are appreciated. In return, Calyrex-S can threaten specially defensive Necrozma-DM. Defoggers such as Yveltal and Ho-Oh ensure that Sticky Web remains off the field so Calyrex-S can revenge kill threats such as Rock Polish Groudon and Geomancy Xerneas. Pokemon that can bait in Ho-Oh such as Rock Tomb Marshadow are solid partners, as Calyrex-S struggles to beat Ho-Oh without support.

If you can fit it on the point about NP, mention how setting up on a tricked Yveltal clicking Roost is one of the main applications of it, breaking teams super easily.

Pheromosa isn't super relevant at all and on webs neither is Zygarde, Rock Polish Groudon and Geomancy Xerneas are better examples for the final sentence.

If you can fit mentions of rock coverage baits for ho-oh like ndm, marsh, or etern, it would be nice as partners too because scarf caly compared to specs doesn't have the power to break it without tricking and getting rocks up

lmk if you have trouble with the character limit w these changes but it should be fine to just not include some smaller things from these changes like heavy examples or explaining the yvel interaction with trick np if you can't squeeze it in
