PROLOGUE
Long ago, a man's fantasy became a reality in a form never seen before: Kitchen Coliseum, a giant arena where chefs can cook up new original Pokemon teams and see them tested. The motivation for spending his fortune to create Kitchen Coliseum was to encounter new original teams which could be called true artistic creations.

To realize his dream, he secretly started choosing the top chefs of various building styles, and he named his men the Iron Chefs. These Iron Chefs possess invincible culinary skills, and they are:

Iron Chef Jrdn
Timezone: GMT -4
Record: 3 W / 0 L

Iron Chef Funbot28
Timezone: GMT -4
Record: 3 W / 1 L

Iron Chef Dragonillis
Timezone: GMT +2
Record: 2 W / 2 L

Kitchen Coliseum is the arena where Iron Chefs await the challenges of master chefs from around the world. Challengers must build around the theme ingredient of the round. Using all their senses, skill and creativity, they are to prepare artistic teams never tasted before.

Every battle, reputations are on the line in Kitchen Coliseum, where master chefs pit their artistic creations against each other. What inspiration does this round's challenger bring? And how will the Iron Chef fight back?

The heat will be on!

INTRODUCTION
Hello, everyone! Chairman Euphonos here, and welcome to the new installment of Iron Chef, this time in the Other Metagames community! This project allows the contestants to showcase their creative team building skills and to put their masterful creations to the test against some of the top builders in the realm of Camomons. Each round I will pick a motif to build around, and contestants will do their best to come up with an original, effective team around that theme.

The mechanics of the project will be shown below, so please take time to read everything.
MECHANICS

STAGE 1.1: CHALLENGER SIGN-UPS
- This stage will last for three days.
- People who wish to participate in this team building project must sign up using this format (non-compliance to this format will not be accepted on any circumstance):
Discord ID: Euphonos#9726
Time Zone: GMT +8

STAGE 1.2: CHALLENGER COOK-OFF
- This stage will take place if and only if sign-ups exceeded 12 challengers within the allotted sign-up period.
- The Chairman will hand out a personal message to each challenger. The personal message includes the secret ingredient to be built around.
- The challengers will have roughly 24 hours from the time the Chairman has sent the personal message (deadline will be posted in the personal message, too). Non-compliance to the deadline will forfeit a challenger's entry to the competition proper.

STAGE 2.1: LIVE TEAM BUILDING
- All twelve episodes of the team building project will take place in the Camomons channel of the Other Metagames Discord, where the Chairman selects a qualified challenger to take on first, and where the secret ingredient will be revealed there.
- The Challenger and the chosen (active) Iron Chef at the time will have 60 minutes to build a team based on the secret ingredient chosen by the Chairman.
- All teams, along with the brief description, will be sent via Discord PM.

STAGE 2.2: JUDGING
- The rates from the Panel of Judges will be posted in this thread, and the winner will be decided here and at the #announcement room of the Other Metagames Discord.
- The winner of each episode will be decided solely on the Judges' Evaluations, which comprises of Creativity, Essence, and Effectiveness.

The system is based on three separate categories in Creativity, Essence, and Effectiveness.

CREATIVITY (0-5 POINTS): Is your finished dish a delight never before tasted by our judges, or is it the same standard fare? Your goal is not to merely reheat an existing team, but to break boundaries and challenge standards. A team that was copied from a sample or tournament with a few minor changes should score poorly here, while a team full of new ideas could bring home as many as five points.

ESSENCE (0-5 POINTS): How well does your team use this round's theme? Is it merely tacked on to satisfy the tournament's requirements, or is it a fundamental part of how the team works? A team that barely uses the round's theme could end up with nothing here, while a team that not only uses the theme but redefines might win it all.

EFFECTIVENESS (0-10 POINTS): And now we're down to the real meat of the dish. How good is the team? This category is worth twice as much as the other two, because in the end, it doesn't matter how original your dish is - if it doesn't taste good, then people won't eat it. A team that will struggle to succeed in the current metagame, even against mediocre teams, might receive a zero here. On the other hand, show the judges how great your team is, and you could take home a full ten points.

The Panel of Judges will determine the final scores through the conformity method where they either agree or disagree with the initial rates until a certain point is given.

NOTES:
- Once an episode of the team building project has concluded, the rest of the challengers must wait for at least 36 hours before the next episode. This gives way for the judges to rate in a sound manner.

Sign-ups will end on May 5, Tuesday, 11:00 AM GMT -4.
What are you guys waiting for?
Allez, cuisine!

PANEL OF JUDGES

Our first judge happens to be the one person who founded the Camomons metagame in the Sword and Shield Generation, please welcome:

Judge In The Hills!
In The Hills started playing competitively in 2013 through Pokemon Online before he made his appearance in Pokemon Showdown in 2015. He played Ability Unity as his first Other Metagame in 2017 that eventually made him become one of the key figures in the Other Metagames department to date. He managed the US South team that led to the Finals of the World Cup of Other Metagames II.

In The Hills is an avid The Studio room regular. He is currently a Fashion student.

. . . . . . . .

Our next judge is fondly known as the Mix and Mega's prophet but also has an obsession to a Pokemon in the Camomons metagame. Please let us welcome:

Judge Chazm!

Chazm started playing in the Other Metagames by participating in the Mix and Mega Pheromosa suspect. From there he eventually establishes himself as one of the key figures in the Other Metagames department as one of the council members in Mix and Mega and Camomons. He was one of the players who represented the United Kingdom team that won as Champions in the Other Metagames World Cup II. He also is the finalist in the first SS Camomons Tournament hosted by In The Hills. He currently manages the Malevolent Misdreavuses in the eighth edition of Other Metagames Premier League.

Chazm is a math whiz as he specializes in subjects heavily tied to mathematics.

. . . . . . . .

Last, but not the least, this judge is one of the emerging players in the realm of Camomons known for his eccentricities in his team building abilities. Please let us welcome:

<disclaimer: placeholder photo>
Chairman and Judge Euphonos!
While being part of the Smogon community since 2010, Euphonos made his first appearance in the Underused community in early 2015 and became one of the most active participants in the first season of UU Iron Chef hosted by Hogg. His activity ended up being the Chairman in the future editions of Iron Chef up until the end of Generation 7, and his renewed energy in the Camomons metagame since April made him decide to bring Iron Chef in the Other Metagames community. He was recently appointed as part of the Camomons council due to his profound knowledge in the metagame and his dedication to his craft.

Euphonos is a fan of Gordon Ramsay and his involvement in most cooking shows such as Hell's Kitchen and MasterChef. An Economics graduate and a Financial Advisor by profession, his passionate tastes to choral music made him plan on pursuing a Music Degree in the future.

:::
VALENTINE'S DAY
All teams must feature at least one Pokemon in each of only these three given Pokedex colors: Red, Purple, and Pink.

cc1cr.png
Both teams have rather standard Pokemon with commonly-used sets -- but what sets the team on the left apart is the use of Substitute + Hex Gengar (Normal/Ghost) being its main draw with the underutilized Rotom-Heat and Crawdaunt at the side.

cc1es.png
Both teams, despite their polarizing styles, have taken advantage of the secret ingredient quite well. What makes the teams not give a perfect score in this criterion are the sub-optimal use of Fairy/Poison Clefable (where the Dark/Poison variant is way better) and Crawdaunt possibly breaking that sound game plan on the left, and the provision of too much hazards on Accelgor (wherein only Spikes are needed) and Braviary that could have taken advantage of Defiant by virtue of either Choice Scarf or Agility on the right.

cc1ef.png
Both teams have several flaws -- the team on the left have lots of errors such as giving Black Sludge on Normal/Ghost Gengar and the lack of a Stealth Rock especially with his description that would backfire with the sound game plan he has, and the team on the right didn't take advantage of the heavily offensive magic by giving more set-up (to a point that the judges would recommend running Nasty Plot Gengar to boost its offensive presence more). The edge for the team on the left, despite those flaws, is that the team has a sound structure that would be worth giving a shot in the long run.

Therefore, the winner of this challenger cook-off stage -- by way of edging out in the Creativity Criterion -- is no other than...

Poison Adhesive!

Congratulations for winning this Challenger Cook-off stage; you are now qualified for the Live 12!

In a few minutes, the first episode of Camomons Iron Chef will begin!

Good day, everyone! Last May 9, 8:15 PM GMT -4, the inaugural episode of Camomons Iron Chef Live has started, featuring challenger Whitephoenixace and Iron Chef Funbot28. Whose cuisine reigns supreme? Here are the results of the recently-concluded episode!

vs.
EPISODE 1: NATURAL SELECTION
All teams must feature at least two non-legendary, non-mythical Pokemon that don't have an evolutionary line.

e01cr.png
The team on the left has shattered grounds in terms of creativity: from the Pokemon that has never used before in the form of Sawk, to the underutilized Pokemon in Rotom-Wash and Darmanitan, to the unexpected sets that brought unusual typings from Reuniclus and Excadrill. The team on the right may seem standard with Flash Cannon Sigilyph and the defensive Electric/Flying Mew being the main draw for creativity.

e01es.png
Both teams have a structure that allowed their secret ingredient to shine. However, the team on the left uses a Pokemon that is essentially a rip-off of Haxorus, when it is a much better Pokemon to use, actually putting Sawk for the sake of honoring the secret ingredient. On the other hand, the lack of initial power brought by the team on the right gives the team one point short of a perfect score in the Essence criterion.

e01ef.png
The team on the right, despite having mostly standard sets, really excels at what it does. The lack of initial power could be a huge deal at this point, but losing Choice Scarf on Dracovish means forms of Speed control would be lacking, that's why Adamant Choice Scarf Dracovish might make a huge difference at this point. The team on the left leaves a lot to be desired since the answers for Dragon Dance Haxorus and Dracovish are lacking -- not to mention a strong answer against Dark attacks that could overwhelm Sawk in the long run.

Therefore, the winner of this episode, leading by just only one point, is no other than...

Iron Chef Funbot28!

Congratulations, Iron Chef Funbot28, for winning the first episode of Camomons Iron Chef Live! Your team will be posted in the results section of this thread.

. . . . . . . .

ANNOUNCEMENT FROM THE CHAIRMAN!

Good day, everyone! Last May 11, 11:00 AM GMT -4, the second episode of Camomons Iron Chef Live has started, featuring challenger Ho3nConfirm3d and Iron Chef Jrdn. Whose cuisine reigns supreme? Here are the results of the recently-concluded episode!

vs.
EPISODE 2: NOW GENERATION
All teams must come from only one generation the Pokemon were introduced. Regional variants count as the generation they were released.

e02cr.png
Both teams have set the bar high in terms of creativity. The team on the left featured Cursola and Centiskorch, something that hasn't been used in the metagame, with unusual sets coming from Snarl Toxtricity and Acrobatics Dragapult. The team on the right features a rather solid defensive core, but their unusual typings from Ferrothorn and Reuniclus, the unusual sets from Jellicent and Sigilyph brought home the perfect score in creativity.

e02es.png
Both teams have excelled in terms of using the secret ingredient; both of them have the right structure and tools to shine. What's more notable on the team on the left is using a mono-Gen 8 team, something that judges don't expect to see often, and not to mention not featuring some of the more common options like Dracovish and Coalossal, which is definitely the boldest thing ever. As for the team on the right, the game plan the team has is fundamentally sound that judges almost can't tell there's a "special rule" for it.

e02ef.png
The chef building that team on the left really put in the valiant effort, however, it's not the strongest team worth preparing for in the metagame, not to mention the team being weak to opposing Hydro Pump Dragapults who have Infiltrator most of the time to wreck almost the entire team even with Light Screen up -- not to mention the team doesn't have prompt Water resists. The team on the right is extremely solid; however the most notable flaw that didn't bring the team to a perfect score is the lack of initial firepower that balance teams containing Dark/Poison Clefable or Electric/Flying Mew could deem threatening to the team.

Therefore, the winner of this episode, by way of edging out in the Effectiveness criterion, is no other than...

Iron Chef Jrdn!

Congratulations, Iron Chef Jrdn, for winning the second episode of Camomons Iron Chef Live! Your team will be posted in the results section of this thread.

. . . . . . . .

ANNOUNCEMENTS FROM THE CHAIRMAN!

Good day, everyone! Last May 13, 11:00 AM GMT -4, the third episode of Camomons Iron Chef Live has started, featuring challenger Poison Adhesive and Iron Chef Dragonillis. Whose cuisine reigns supreme? Here are the results of the recently-concluded episode!

vs.
EPISODE 3: HABITAT FOR HUMANITY
All teams must come from only one original type.

e03cr.png
The team on the left has the edge in creativity over the one on the right: the team on the left contains Gravity + Dragon Dance Necrozma, which is the highlight in terms of creativity with Poison/Electric Bronzong and Choice Scarf Indeedee on the side while the team on the right features Froslass being one of the rarest Pokemon to use in the Camomons metagame while most of them bear a rather standard set (Polteageist's and Mimikyu's under-utilization doesn't carry that much weight).

e03es.png
The team on the right has the edge in essence over the one on the left: the team on the right employs a heavily offensive team with a rather sound game plan despite the not-so-perfect offensive pressure that would waste Froslass's hard work if it gets Defogged, while the team on the left could have employed a lot of better options due to the team not being optimized for the metagame.

e03ef.png
Both teams need a lot of edits in order for the team to be successful. The team on the left has the structure to at least rack wins; however, with lots of sub-optimal sets reflected in the Essence criterion, a lot of things has to be improved, such as the lack of initial firepower and a more definite win condition. While the team on the right has a sound game plan to make it successful, the greatest flaw that made it score that low is the lack of proactive answers against Poison/Dark Pokemon, a more definite form of offensive pressure, and a way of at least clearing hazards for Polteageist to shine late in the game.

Therefore, the winner of this episode, leading by only half a point, is no other than...

Chef Poison Adhesive!

Congratulations, Chef Poison Adhesive, for winning the third episode of Camomons Iron Chef Live! Your team will be posted in the results section of this thread.

Good day, everyone! Last May 15, 9:00 PM GMT -4, the fourth episode of Camomons Iron Chef Live has started, featuring challenger Sylveon. and Iron Chef Jrdn. Whose cuisine reigns supreme? Here are the results of the recently-concluded episode!

vs.
EPISODE 4: EXPLORING IDENTITY
All teams must feature at least three Pokemon possessing type combinations that have never been used by any Pokemon upon type-modding.

e02cr.png
Both teams share three Pokemon in common: Galarian Weezing, Mew, and Reuniclus; despite such similarities, they really set another standard in their creativity, with one of their Pokemon each bearing either the most standard set (Haxorus on the left) or the more common pick (Water/Flying Mew on the right).

e02es.png
Both teams really exemplified the use of the secret ingredient and elevated it to another level. The team on the left actually had four Pokemon having unique types never seen before instead of the minimum three; the team on the right uses the right tools in order for the team to succeed.

e04ef.png
Both teams scored above average in this criterion, but this is where the team on the right has the edge over the other one. The team on the left primarily has no prompt answers against Ground/Flying Mew which is one of the most threatening sets worth putting, while the team on the right has some form of skepticism on how to deal with Specially Defensive Dark/Poison Pokemon that can potentially ruin a Reuniclus sweep, but with aggressive plays from Necrozma, that team would cover almost all of the bases to warrant a higher score in this criterion.

Therefore, the winner of this episode, by way of edging out in the Effectiveness criterion, is no other than...

Iron Chef Jrdn!

Congratulations, Iron Chef Jrdn, for winning the fourth episode of Camomons Iron Chef Live! Your team will be posted in the results section of this thread.

Good day, everyone! Last May 17, 5:00 PM GMT -4, the fifth episode of Camomons Iron Chef Live has started, featuring challenger Karl Dude Guy and Iron Chef Funbot28. Whose cuisine reigns supreme? Here are the results of the recently-concluded episode!

vs.
EPISODE 5: SATISFACTION
All teams must feature at least three Pokemon with at least three attacks that make contact.

e05cr.png
The team on the left gives the edge in this criterion over the one on the right by virtue of having Durant as its main draw alongside defensive Bug/Ground Mew and Fighting/Ground Conkeldurr as some of the most uncommon picks, comparing to Obstagoon and Dracozolt being the main draw of the team and the rest of them having rather common or standard sets.

e05es.png
Another reason why the team on the left has the edge over the one on the right is how the team on the left takes advantage of the physical attacks brought by Conkeldurr, Dracovish, and Durant extremely well (that Facade Conkeldurr might give the team an actual perfect score here). On the other hand, the team on the right has Dracozolt as the team's main draw in terms of Essence; however, Jirachi being part of the team doesn't exactly gel well in the criterion that Play Rough looks a little forced for the sake of using the secret ingredient, and Obstagoon, despite having some merits with Obstruct, is not ideal as a Guts user where Conkeldurr actually excels more.

e05ef.png
The team on the left looks actually nice as reflected on its creativity and essence, but upon further examination, among the threats worth presenting in this team is the lack of prompt answers against Electric/Flying Mew variants, especially with the defensive backbone doesn't cover much on the Special side. The team on the right, on the other hand, is actually effective at what it does, minus the Jirachi set that would've been given some oomph and having some form of counterplay against Dracovish and its coverage moves.

Therefore, the winner of this episode, leading by a total of 1.5 points, is no other than...

Chef Karl Dude Guy!

Congratulations, Chef Karl Dude Guy, for winning the fifth episode of Camomons Iron Chef Live! Your team will be posted in the results section of this thread.
