Hi All! Let's get the last few bits and pieces sorted for the prevo!

Remember, This is much stricter than a normal CaP Movepool! We are only allowed the moves which Naviathan itself has in its movepool. You can move them around/change their order move TMs into level up moves and vice versa, but you cannot add any moves. This still leaves a surprising amount of variability and character for you to twist into the Prevo!

I am adding the original Naviathan Movepool to this post below so you guys can work from it. Go crazy with changing moves and the like.

This thread will be open for about 48 Hours. You *can* final submit from the start of this thread, but as with stats I would like to see SOME reasoning about what you have done with the flavour for the prevo!

Do not forget to include two methods of Evolution. Please keep them fairly traditional, I won't be slating anything as needlessly complex as Inkay's/Sliggoo's new ways. Different is interesting, but don't go too far.

Kept the movepool mostly the same, except removes Hyper Beam and Giga Impact from the TMs, as well as Self-Destruct from the Level-Ups. The base form doesn't get Scary Face or Wide Guard by level up because I see it being a rather frail, cute critter in comparison to its evolutions.

Justification

Most of the TM/HM moves for both pre-evolutions minus Hyper Beam and Giga Impact have been kept, as I did not see a good reason for them to be removed. Although I removed Flash Cannon (as well as all other Steel-moves not named Metal Claw) from our basic Pokemon's movepool, I thought it would be suitable to keep Flash Cannon as a TM move.

My reasoning behind the tutor moves is simple -- the small boat would have difficulty punching with its undeveloped fins, but an easy time swiping its claws. This was my reasoning behind keeping Dragon Claw and Metal Claw, but not Ice Punch or Thunder Punch. Our medium boat can punch just fine.

I have cut off our first stage's level up movepool after Level 53, as it is not uncommon for First Stage Pokemon to be unable to learn many later level moves its evolutions learn, particularly when they're as fierce as Hurricane, Self Destruct, and Iron Head.

I have chosen for the first stage to evolve at Level 35, it's a neat number and allows the second stage to learn a Steel-type move immediately upon becoming one. The second stage evolves at Level 54, this allows it to learn Wide Guard upon becoming Naviathan, it just feels right to me than an enormous boat would gain that move upon evolution.

I have excluded Hurricane from both movepools, as I believe the two lesser forms would have difficulty summoning a storm at sea.

I decided to remove Stage 1 being able to learn Splash and Scary Face at the start since it doesn't make sense for an Stage 1 Pokemon to learn a move both at the start and at a later level. I also removed Self Destruct since typically only large Pokemon and steel and rock types learn it, which our Stage 1 is likely to be neither. I also replaced Flash Cannon with Water Pulse since it's not a Steel type yet. The reasoning I did not include for some moves is in the Stage 2 level up moves, which are its feathers are to Small to use Hurricane and it's not large enough to learn Wide Guard via Level up. Other than that, I just reduced the level it learns moves at

I removed Strength from the movepool because I don't imagine that the first stage will be strong enough to pick up Boulders by itself. I also removed Flash Cannon since it is not a Steel type yet and I removed Retaliate since I don't see our CAP having to much of a Vengeful nature as a first stage.

I removed Thunder Punch for reasons similar to why I removed Wild Charge from both stages, however, unlike the middle stage, this stage still has usable arms to punch with for most of the Final Submissions in the Art thread, so I removed Thunder pPunch. I also removed Iron Defense since our Pokemon isn't a Steel type yet.


Evolves at Level 21

I decided to make it Level up at Level 21 because that is the Level the Middle Stage learns Metal Sound, and typically only steel types learn that move, so it represents the Pokemon's new steel type upon evolution

I decided to remove Hurricane and Wide Guard here since the middle stage evolution's feathers will most likely not be large enough to create a hurricane and Wide guard since its both an egg move and a level up move, so it would make the most sense for only the final stage to get the move, so I decided to replace that spot with protect to make sure it still has a protection move. Other than that, I just reduced the level it learns moves at

Evolves at Level 40

I just decided to make the middle stage evolve into Naviathan at the same level Wailmer evolves into Wailord, Kabuto evolves into Kabutops, and Omanyte to Omastar, who are all other sea creatures tied to ancient periods or legends, which Naviathan is also tied to thanks to its connection to Norse Mythology
