Final Submission

Obliteryx

Combines "Obliterate" and "pteryx" (fairly rare pterosaur suffix, Ex. Muzquizopteryx, Hatzegopteryx, Siroccopteryx)

Pronounced: oh-BLI-TE-ricks

I must emphasize that I am only a messenger. The name was tossed around between a few people on Discord, but it seemed to have gotten buried after a few days. Anyways, this guy will obliterate Revenankh. That is his mission.

Final Submission

BeakersO'tul

Beak(ers) + O'Toole

Pronounced: Beakers-O-Tool

We needed more names with Beak in the name for referencing Beak Blast, and the design reminds me of Sneakers O'Toole. Adjusted spelling to fit into 12 Characters.

Da Pizza Man allowed me to do an unofficial check of the Final Submissions. I looked at past Name Submission threads, and it looks like the legality process is automated and strict.

Note: I only checked if your submission format was correct, not whether the name fits/is serious/etc. I also can't prove if other Final Submissions are correct so I didn't mention those.

Final Submission

Blastdarch

“Blast”, “Azhdarchid”, “monarch”, and “dark”

The Azhdarchids are the largest Pterosaurs

Pronounced: "BLAST-dark"
- Line 4 must be pronunciation. The current Line 4 should be merged with Line 3 or moved to the bottom of the post

Final Submission

Moterosol

Motor + Terror + Pterodactyl + Aerosol

Pronounced: "Moe/Tair/Oh/Sol"
IPA:ˈmoteɪɹosɑl

The name combines the smoke (an aerosol) from its engine/motor, the creature it's based on, plus terror to portray its appearance.
- I am unsure whether you can put a link in the final submission

Final Submission

Dynamaw

Pronounced: DAI-nuh-maw
IPA: /ˈdaɪnəmɔ/

Etymology: Dynamo + Maw (also evokes "Dino" and "Dynamic", perhaps even "Die").
- Etymology must be Line 3, before pronunciation and IPA

FINAL SUBMISSION

Pterrorize

An amalgamation of pterodactyl and terrorize.

Pronounced: per-terro-rise (it sounds better pronouncing the silent P)

Pterodactyl because it looks like one, and terrorise because it is both terrifying and because it will absolutely terrorise every physical sweeper in the meta.
- Line 4 (pronunciation) cannot have additional words after it. That should be in Line 3 or at the bottom
- Also, I am unsure whether "FINAL SUBMISSION" is allowed over "Final Submission"

Final Submission

Morterro

Spanish Pterosaur! Yokaiju envisions CAP37 as a man-sized biker pterosaur, hence: Mortar, a small, modern cannon; Ptero(saur); the Terror of this Dark, rowdy biker.

Pronounced: maw-TEH-Roh
IPA: /môrˈtĕrˌro/
- I am unsure whether Ptero(saur) would be counted as two words and therefore exceed 25 words

Final Submission

Pterorev

Etymology: Pterodactyl+Terror+Rev. Pterodactyl influenced design, Terror because dark type, Rev like an engine which is a noted design piece.

Pronunciation: TARE-or-rev
- Line 4 cannot be "Pronunciation:" --> it must be "Pronounced:"

Final Submission

Pteryxhaust

Pteryx (ex. Siroccopteryx) + Exhaust (Pteryx is a part of many pterosaur names, exhaust because the smoke billowing out of the engine)

Pronounced TER-ik-zost
- Line 4 is missing a colon (:) in "Pronounced:"

Final Submission

Pterodathkyl

Pterodactyl + Terror +Death +Kill

This concept made me laugh, and since Yaheg made a different final submission, I'm doing my own spin on it

Pronounced "TAIR-roh-DATH-kill"
- Line 4 must be pronunciation. The quote and reply should be moved to the bottom of the post
- Line 4 is missing a colon (:) in "Pronounced:"

Final Submission

Jeteryx

Entomology: Jet + pteryx (ex. Hatzegopteryx)

Pronunciation: Jet-Teryx

IPA: (d3e-teh-riks)
- Line 4 cannot be "Pronunciation:" --> it must be "Pronounced:"
- Remove the empty line between Pronounced and IPA

Final Submission

Pterodonton

Pteranodon is ancient greek for "toothless wing." This is a toothy pteranodon, so the name is a slightly modified version of "toothed wing" in ancient greek.

Pronounced: "TARE-o-don-tun"
- Etymology line is longer than 25 words

Final Submission

Quetzhaust

Quetzalcoatlus + exhaust - after all, it's a bird that resembles a quetzalcoatlus and has an exhaust. Also plays with the "x" sound in exhaust

Pronounciation: "QUETZ-haust"
- Line 4 cannot be "Pronunciation:" --> it must be "Pronounced:"

Final Submission

Pteronox

Combines the words pterodactyl/pterosaur and nox (latin for night)

Pronounced: "TARE-oh-nocks"

I mean this is really straight forward and simple, it's a big dark type pterodactyl and it's spelling just looks SO weird but it seems cool, thought I'd submit SOMETHING in this process at least, it's coming along pretty well. Idk how well night fits into the theme here but it does match the dark type well generally! also latin being helpful is cool

Fretanoxor

A combination of the words "Fretan" (from old English to break, blast, or devour), "Nox" and "Nicor"

Pronounced: fret-a-NOKS-or
IPA: /ˈfrɛ̞ːtənɒksə/

Fretan references the giant mouth and explosions. Nox alludes to Night and noxious fumes. Nicor derives from Nicorhynchus, a similar looking Pterosaur.
