BTW, shamanistic isn't really bad. While I admit I'm being ethnocentric and possibly a form of stupidity that would only be worthy of a sig quote, shamanist sounds more like "describing a follower of shamanism" than "shamanistic," which sounds like "describing something as would be performed by a shaman."

If anything, shamanic sounds cleaner and avoids "shamanist" entirely.
