Carvanha is a stellar offensive Pokemon by virtue of its amazing offensive movepool alongside an awesome ability and good stats to complement its offensive capabilities. The Life Orb allows Carvanha to score important KOs on naturally bulky Pokemon such as Weak Armor Onix and Foongus, against which it can use its powerful STAB moves or a very convenient coverage move in Psychic Fangs. This set excels at sweeping thanks to Speed Boost making it faster each turn while using Protect to ensure safe boosts to the point where it completely outspeeds the opposing team and can threaten it with powerful moves. However, Carvanha falls prey to Pokemon that can tank its attacks and KO it back, which includes Timburr and Snubbull, entry hazards, and crippling status effects. This means Pokemon such as Spritzee and Mareanie can assist it by dealing with its checks,and the former can also provide useful cleric support. Entry hazards set by the likes of Ferroseed and Onix wear down the opposing team, which allows Carvanha to sweep much more easily.

Staryu can assist it by dealing

Use a better option than this, it's not really feasible to have two frail water types unless it's a water-spam team, which Staryu doesn't really fit onto.

Ferroseed over Dweb, more relevant meta option.
