Cawmodore is a very simple Pokemon with a very simple strategy: set up with Belly Drum and sweep. Its high Speed tier, access to priority, and huge Attack stat after a Belly Drum mean that a +6 Cawmodore acts as an amazing late-game sweeper with very few checks and basically no counters. All of the above characteristics make it a staple on CAP hyper-offense teams. Drain Punch is the preferred coverage option, as it allows Cawmodore to beat Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Heatran and increases its overall longevity. However, Knock Off is an option that allows Cawmodore to beat some of its otherwise checks like Rotom-W and Aegislash with Shadow Ball. 4 EVs in HP allow Cawmodore to activate Sitrus Berry after a Belly Drum.

Cawmodore heavily dislikes taking damage on the switch and wants to be as healthy as possible before using Belly Drum, so Pokemon that can set dual screens for it and pivot out like Tapu Koko, Regieleki, and Dragapult are all good teammates. Taunt Tapu Koko's ability to deny entry hazards is very much appreciated, as Cawmodore should ideally be at full health before setting up. Furthermore, Taunt Tapu Koko can also shut down and beat some of the major Defoggers in the metagame like Moltres and Hydreigon, while Explosion from Regieleki can prevent the foe from removing entry hazards. Astrolotl's ability to weaken Cawmodore's checks with Spikes is also very valuable, as it makes Cawmodore's role as a cleaner much easier. Setup sweepers like Dragapult, Magearna, and Rillaboom are all solid teammates for the Cawmodore on hyper offense teams, as they can punch holes in opposing walls and make it easier for it to clean late-game and vice versa.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Checks and Counters
===================

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Pokemon like Dragapult and Choice Scarf Victini are faster than Cawmodore, can take a Bullet Punch at full health, and can OHKO back with Fire Blast and V-create, respectively.

**Bulky Electric-Types**: Cyclohm and Zapdos are easily some of the best Cawmodore checks, as they can take every attack that Cawmodore can use, OHKO back with Fire Blast and Heat Wave respectively, and heal back the damage taken with their recovery moves.

**Setup Prevention**: `Faster Taunt users like Kerfluffle and Tapu Koko can prevent Cawmodore from setting up with Belly Drum, while Haze from Prankster Tomohawk can remove the boost from Belly Drum.

**Unaware Users**: Bulky Unaware users like Clefable take relatively little damage from Cawmodore's attacks and can stall it out. Thanks to Unaware, Arghonaut can survive Acrobatics from full HP, phaze Cawmodore with Circle Throw, and heal with Recover.

(not qc so take this as you will)

the team options bit of this feels very weird to me because Cawmodore is never seen outside of hyper offense; mentions like Slowking, Equilibra, Zapdos, and even Astrolotl are suspect to me because they're never seen on such builds (unless you're talking dual screens Astrolotl, of course). if you want to address denying entry hazards, then I'd just mention alongside Tapu Koko's bit about dual screens that it runs Taunt and that can also shut down hazard removers. it's more important that you talk about other setup sweepers that can help open holes in the opposition so Cawmodore can clean late-game, and vice versa

Agree with basically all of this, I used the gen 7 analysis for reference regarding the team options which, in hindsight, wasn't the best idea lol. Will finish implementing by uhhh tmrw ig

(edit: had some time to do this today and implemented the above :D)

Cawmodore is a very simple Pokemon with a very simple strategy: set Belly Drum and sweep. Its high speed tier, alongside its decent attack stat, means that a +6 Cawmodore has very few checks and basically no counters, and acts as an amazing late-game sweeper. However, the presence of a Cawmodore check on the [opposing team turns it into not much more than dead weight until the check is taken care of] (this sentence is awkwardly worded and isn't entirely accurate since Cawm can still deal with its checks if they have proper chip), making it a very high risk-high reward Pokemon. All of the above characteristics make it a staple on CAP hyper-offense teams. Drain Punch is the most popular coverage option as it allows Cawmodore to gain back health from Pokemon that attempt to switch in to it, allowing Cawmodore to bypass certain counters and increase the lifespan of the sweep. However, Knock Off is an option that allows Cawmodore to beat some of its otherwise checks, like Rotom-Wash and Special Aegislash. (You don't list Special Aegislash in your list of checks and counters but you do list it here. Want that to be more consistent)

(I would add at least a sentence here on the EVs and why you run 4 HP over 4 SpD since that can easily be a pitfall for players. I would also add a comment or two explaining why Bullet Punch and Acrobatics are necessary. I also reordered those two moves simply because Acrobatics is the stronger STAB in general, and in general provides more power and utility (albeit barely more) to the set than Bullet Punch.)

Cawmodore heavily dislikes taking damage on the switch-in, since it wants to be as healthy as possible before using Belly Drum, so Pokemon that can quickly set dual screens for it and pivot out like Tapu Koko, Regieleki and Screens Dragapult are all good teammates. [Denying entry hazards from the opposing team is very valuable to Cawmodore as it ideally shouldn't take any damage before setting up, so having Taunt on Tapu Koko to shut them down is appreciated.] (This sentence doesn't flow that well. Start the sentence by saying how Taunt on Tapu Koko is especially effective as it prevents the opponent from setting up hazards, and then explain why that matters to Cawmodore. You can even conjoin the following sentence into this idea of Tapu Koko being an excellent partner.) Furthermore, Taunt Tapu Koko can also shut down and beat some major Defoggers in the metagame like Moltres and Hydreigon, while Explosion from Regieleki can prevent the opposition from using their hazard removal move. HO Setup Sweepers that can punch holes in the opposing team and weaken Cawmodore's checks like Spectrier, Magearna, and Blaziken are all solid teammates for the bird. Although Cawmodore doesn't offer much to it's teammates in general, it's able to provide valuable support to HO teams due to the fact that it punches holes in most walls and anti-HO on the other team, making it much easier for its teammates to set-up and snowball.

[Checks and Counters]

**Fast Offensive Threats**: Pokemon like Cinderace, Dragapult, and Spectrier are faster than Cawmodore, can take a Bullet Punch at full health, and can OHKO back with Pyro Ball, Flamethrower, and Shadow Ball respectively.

**Bulky Electric-Types**: Cyclohm and Zapdos are easily some of the best Cawmodore checks, as they can take every move that Cawmodore has, OHKO back with Fire Blast and Heat Wave respectively, and heal from the damage taken with their recovery moves.

**Offensive Pressure**: This is moreso counterplay than actual checks and counters, but just making sure Cawmodore doesn't set up is one of the best ways to beat it. Some examples of this would be to have fast Taunt users like Kerfluffle and Tapu Koko in, or Foul Play users like Mandibuzz and Scarfed Rotom, or even Prankster Haze from HazeHawk.

**Arghonaut**: Arghonaut is probably the best Cawmodore counter, as Unaware meant that it lives Acrobatics at 40% health, and Circle Throw allows it to phaze Cawmodore out and recover health with Recover. (I would argue that this bullet should be Pokemon with Unaware as a whole, rather than just Arghonaut.)

Its high speed tier, alongside its decent attack stat, means that a +6 Cawmodore has very few checks and basically no counters, and acts as an amazing late-game sweeper. However, the presence of a Cawmodore check on the opposing team drastically reduces Cawmodore's ability to clean and sweep, making it a very high risk-high reward Pokemon. All of the above characteristics make it a staple on CAP hyper-offense teams. Acrobatics and Bullet Punch are essential to Cawmodore's success, as Acrobatics is it's most spammable attack, OHKOing most slower Pokemon, while Bullet Punch allows Cawmodore to beat faster foes and clean easier. An investment of 4 EVs into HP is necessary for a Belly Drum to activate your Sitrus Berry, as without it you would have 241 HP at max health, which wouldn't divide by two, leaving you with 1 more point than necessary. (Nice explanation for the 4HP EVs :] )

Cawmodore heavily dislikes taking damage on the switch-in, since it wants to be as healthy as possible before using Belly Drum, so Pokemon that can quickly set dual screens for it and pivot out like Tapu Koko, Regieleki, Astrolotl, and Screens Dragapult are all good teammates. Taunt Tapu Koko's ability to deny entry hazards is very much appreciated, as Cawmodore should ideally be at full health before setting up. Furthermore, Taunt Tapu Koko can also shut down and beat some major Defoggers in the metagame like Moltres and Hydreigon, while Explosion from Regieleki can prevent the opposition from using their hazard removal move. (Add a similar sentence to others about how knock + Screens Astro can help chip away at opponents as well through Knock Off and by setting up Spikes). HO Setup Sweepers that can punch holes in the opposing team and weaken Cawmodore's checks like Spectrier, Magearna, and Blaziken are all solid teammates for the bird. Although Cawmodore doesn't offer much to it's teammates in general, it's able to provide valuable support to HO teams due to the fact that it punches holes in most walls and anti-HO Pokemon on the other team, making it much easier for its teammates to set-up and snowball.

(Timid Spectrier without Choice Specs doesn't actually consistently OHKO with Shadow Ball when Cawmodore is at 75%, even at 252 SpA. It's a 93.8% chance, but not guaranteed. Just to make a small note that I believe is worth touching upon for completeness)

**Unaware users**: Bulky Unaware users take relatively little from Cawmodore's attacks and can either stall it out or win the matchup, forcing Cawmodore out. Arghonaut is probably the best example of the above, as Unaware means that it lives Acrobatics at 40% health, and Circle Throw allows it to phaze Cawmodore out and recover health with Recover.

**Special Aegislash**: The fact that most Cawmodore don't carry Knock Off means that Aegislash functions as a decent Cawmodore check, as it resists all of its moves, and gets a guaranteed KO with Shadow Ball after Belly Drum. Be wary of the stray Knock Off though, as it can completely invalidate Aegislash's value as a Cawmodore check.

Cawmodore is a very simple Pokemon with a very simple strategy: set Belly Drum and sweep. Its high speed tier, alongside its decent attack stat(I'd instead note Cawmodore's great Speed, access to priority, and high Attack after a Belly Drum boost), means that a +6 Cawmodore has very few checks and basically no counters, and acts as an amazing late-game sweeper. However, the presence of a Cawmodore check on the opposing team drastically reduces Cawmodore's ability to clean and sweep, making it a very high risk-high reward Pokemon.(the following sentence makes including this here illogical) All of the above characteristics make it a staple on CAP hyper-offense teams. Acrobatics and Bullet Punch are essential to Cawmodore's success, as Acrobatics is it's most spammable attack, OHKOing most slower Pokemon, while Bullet Punch allows Cawmodore to beat faster foes and clean easier. Drain Punch is the most popular coverage option as it allows Cawmodore to gain back health from Pokemon that attempt to switch in to it, allowing Cawmodore to bypass certain counters and increase the lifespan of the sweep.(too wordy, just note the targets of Drain Punch and that it improves overall longevity) However, Knock Off is an option that allows Cawmodore to beat some of its otherwise checks, like Rotom-Wash and Special Aegislash. An investment of 4 EVs into HP is necessary for a Belly Drum to activate your Sitrus Berry, as without it you would have 241 HP at max health, which wouldn't divide by two, leaving you with one more point than necessary.(you do not need to go this far when explaining the 4 HP EVs)

Cawmodore heavily dislikes taking damage on the switch-in, since it wants to be as healthy as possible before using Belly Drum, so Pokemon that can quickly set dual screens for it and pivot out like Tapu Koko, Astrolotl, Regieleki and Screens Dragapult are all good teammates.(Astrolotl can't pivot) Taunt Tapu Koko's ability to deny entry hazards is very much appreciated, as Cawmodore should ideally be at full health before setting up. **Bulky Electric-Types**: Cyclohm and Zapdos are easily some of the best Cawmodore checks, as they can take every move that Cawmodore has, OHKO back with Fire Blast and Heat Wave respectively, and heal from the damage taken with their recovery moves.

the biggest issue with this analysis right now is that it is very verbose; read through this and look to make your prose more concise. ping me when this is implemented and I'll look it back over (probably after the Spectrier voting results are announced)

(are these even necessary to highlight? Bullet Punch is very obvious in function---picking off faster attackers so they can't revenge kill Cawmodore---and Acrobatics's is basically just here as Cawmodore's strongest attack.) Drain Punch is the most popular coverage option as it allows Cawmodore to beat Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Heatran and increases the bird's overall longetivity. However, Knock Off is an option that allows Cawmodore to beat some of its otherwise checks, like Rotom-Wash and Special Aegislash. (just combine these two sentences into one point about how Cawmodore appreciates other setup sweepers punching holes in the opposing team so it has an easier time cleaning and vice versa.)

[Checks and Counters]

**Fast Offensive Threats**: Pokemon like Cinderace and Dragapult are faster than Cawmodore, can take a Bullet Punch at full health, and can OHKO back with Pyro Ball and Flamethrower respectively.

Some examples of this would be to have fast Taunt users like Kerfluffle and Tapu Koko in, Foul Play users like Mandibuzz and Scarfed Rotom, or even Prankster Haze from HazeHawk. (this section doesn't really make sense. most of these options aren't "offensive pressure"; they're defensive responses or just methods of preventing Cawmodore from setting up. you could change this bit to "Setup Prevention" and just remove the Foul Play mentions given they're unreliable and uncommon?)

(Aegislash is super fringe in usage, so it's not really worth highlighting here. At least with Arghonaut you have a Pokemon straight up invalidating Cawmodore's purpose.)

**Faster Offensive Threats**: Pokemon like Cinderace and Dragapult are faster than Cawmodore, can take a Bullet Punch at full health, and can OHKO back with Pyro Ball and Flamethrower,(AC) respectively.

**Bulky Electric-types(lowercase t)**: Cyclohm and Zapdos are easily some of the best Cawmodore checks, as they can take every move attack that Cawmodore has, OHKO back with Fire Blast and Heat Wave respectively, and heal from back the damage taken with their recovery moves.

**Setup Prevention**: This is moreso counterplay than actual checks and counters, but just making sure Cawmodore doesn't set up is one of the best ways to beat it. Some examples of this would be to have fast Taunt users like Kerfluffle and Tapu Koko in, or Prankster Haze from HazeHawk. Faster Taunt users like Kerfluffle and Tapu Koko can prevent Cawmodore from setting up with Belly Drum, while Prankster Haze from Tomohawk can remove the boost from Belly Drum. (This is a big subjective change, but the original wording was very unclear.)

**Unaware Users(Capitalize U)**: Bulky Unaware users like Clefable take relatively little damage from Cawmodore's attacks and can either stall it out or win the matchup(This is kinda vague. How does it win the matchup?), forcing Cawmodore out. Arghonaut is probably the best example of the above, as Unaware means that it lives Acrobatics at 40% health, and Circle Throw allows it to phaze Cawmodore out and recover health with Recover. Thanks to Unaware, Arghonaut can survive Acrobatics from full HP, phaze Cawmodore out with Circle Throw, and heal with Recover. (Another big subjective change. Im having trouble wording the Acrobatics part since I think you intended to say that it survives Acrobatics and is left with 40% HP, but I will leave it to the actual GP for better wording =)

Cawmodore heavily dislikes taking damage on the switch-in switch in,(RC) since it and wants to be as healthy as possible before using Belly Drum, so Pokemon that can quickly set dual screens for it and pivot out like Tapu Koko, Regieleki and Screens Dragapult are all good teammates. Taunt Tapu Koko's ability to deny entry hazards is very much appreciated, as Cawmodore should ideally be at full health before setting up. Furthermore, Taunt Tapu Koko can also shut down and beat some of the major Defoggers in the metagame like Moltres and Hydreigon, while Explosion from Regieleki can prevent the opposition from using their hazard removal move foe from removing entry hazards. Astrolotl's ability to chip opposition weaken Cawmodore's checks with Spikes and Knock Off is also very valuable, as it makes Cawmodore's cleaning job role as a cleaner much easier. HO Setup Sweepers like Dragapult, Magearna, and Rillaboom are all solid teammates for the bird Cawmodore on hyper offense teams, as they can punch holes in opposing walls so Cawmodore has an easier time cleaning and make it easier for it to clean late-game and vice versa.

Checks and Counters
===================

Cawmodore is a very simple Pokemon with a very simple strategy: set up with Belly Drum and sweep. Its high Speed tier, access to priority, and huge Attack stat after a Belly Drum, (RC) mean that a +6 Cawmodore has acts as an amazing late-game sweeper with very few checks and basically no counters, (RC) and acts as an amazing late-game sweeper. All of the above characteristics make it a staple on CAP hyper-offense hyper offense teams. Drain Punch is the preferred coverage option, (AC) as it allows Cawmodore to beat Pokemon like Ferrothorn and Heatran and increases its overall longevity. However, Knock Off is an option that allows Cawmodore to beat some of its otherwise checks, (RC) like Rotom-W and special Aegislash (specially defensive, you mean?). 4 EVs in HP allow Cawmodore to activate Sitrus Berry after a Belly Drum.
