Tournament Challenge Cup Cup 6 -- Commencement Thread

As stated in the CCC server, I am sorry to inform that RocketGruntLudwig has been banned from Smogon. As a consequence, we have removed him from the tournament and from the server. Team Nymble was allowed to pick a replacement and they chose NDD To The Top, who is going to be immediately active on their roster

Challenge Cup Cup Consolation Cup!

But you can add as many Cs as you want to the acronym because, as they say, the more, the merrier. The Consolation Cup is a friendly competition aimed at the teams that didn't make it to the playoffs but that still want to play games for fun and to get a fictional title. The structure is pretty much the same as the one we had in regular season, so the number and type of slots are technically unchanged. However, the players are given the green light to organize their series as they please, as long as they can find an agreement with their opponent. You wanna do a best of 11? You can do that. You want to do a best of 1? You can do that. Players who weren't originally on the lineup want to still play a match? Sure, why not! You were assigned to play cc1v1 but want to play multiple and different formats with your opponent? You are absolutely free to do that, as long as there is an agreement and the hosts are informed!

With the hope that this chaotic and flexible structure can maximize the fun for everyone involved, here we present the lineups for the semifinals!

Mystery Box

The Mystery Box for the Semifinals and Finals is none other than a Best of Mystery Box!

The players will engage in a best of 5 series where each game is a short series in itself to be played in one of the Mystery Box formats that we had during the regular season. The higher seed picks first and then it's going to be loser's pick for the following games. All the Mystery Box-specific formats have been shortened to make sure the series don't last too long. Therefore, the players will get to choose between:
- Challenge Cup 1v1 with terastalization best of 5
- Chimera Challenge Cup 1v1 best of 5
- Bring 6 Pick 4 Challenge Cup 2v2 best of 3
- Bring 6 Pick 6 Challenge Cup 2v2 best of 1
- Challenge Cup "Trio" now consists in playing Challenge Cup 6v6, Challenge Cup 1v1, Challenge Cup 2v2. All of them are in best of 1
- Challenge Cup 1v1 "LJDA" best of 5
- Challenge Cup 6v6 First Blood best of 3
