Hello!
I've been involved with running many of the mock auctions for SPL over the past few years, and I've also been a manager of many team tours that utilize auctions, and I'd like to make a few suggestions based on my experiences with the new system and how it has differed from Scrappie's.
-It's difficult to distinguish between teams bidding when the team name colors are all the same. Could we establish different colors for the team names (e.g. Dragonspiral Tyrants are red and Ever Grande BIGS are blue) for the ease of viewing for both spectators and bidders?
-Not showing bids that are below the current highest amount is annoying for both bidders and viewers (e.g. if Roro is currently at 25k, and I bid 24k, my bid won't show up at all). This may sound strange, but for strategic purposes, it's really nice to be able to see all bids. You get a sense of who's bidding, and you can even potentially bait other bids by creating a sense that lots of people are bidding at the same time.
-Not having . before your bids means it's easy to accidentally bid when you don't intend to (e.g. 16 now means you bid 16 instead of having to type .16). While eliminating the necessity of . may seem advisable, it actually results in a lot of bids happening when people don't intend to use them.
-The way players are presented when they're up for bidding, there's no Tiers Not Played section, which makes it really challenging to remember/keep track of who's able to play what. If possible, having this implemented alongside the Tiers Played area would be extremely helpful for bidders.
I think this is about it from what I've observed/heard from other folks. Let me know if there are questions about any of the suggestions I made. Thank you!
