Monotype Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan (Ice) [QC 2/2] [GP 0/1]

[SET]
name: Choice Band² (Ice)
move 1: Icicle Crash
move 2: Fire Punch / Flare Blitz
move 3: Earthquake
move 4: U-turn
item: Choice Band
ability: Gorilla Tactics
nature: Jolly
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

[SET COMMENTS]
By virtue of the stacked boosts from Choice Band and Gorilla Tactics onto its already amazing Attack stat, Galarian Darmanitan is an obscenely powerful wallbreaker. Icicle Crash is able to destroy walls that don't resist it, like Clefable, and even frailer Ice-resistant Pokemon on the switch-in, such as Crawdaunt. Fire Punch and Flare Blitz serve as coverage to nail Steel- and Ice-types that resist Icicle Crash; the former one is preferred, as it already OHKOes Corviknight and Ferrothorn without recoil damage. However, the latter scores KOs versus Levitate Bronzong, +1 Corviknight, Mamoswine, and Aegislash after contact with King's Shield. Earthquake nails Toxapex and Torkoal and is Galarian Darmanitan's best way to damage Snorlax. U-turn takes advantage of the number of switches Galarian Darmanitan forces, generating momentum for the team while hitting reasonably hard. A Jolly nature is vital to outrun Kommo-o and tie with other base 95 Speed Pokemon such as Indeedee.

Because this Galarian Darmanitan forgoes the Speed boost from Choice Scarf, it becomes vulnerable to faster Pokemon like Hydreigon and Dragapult. Other Choice Scarf revenge killers that can beat them, like Weavile and Galarian Mr. Mime, are, thus, great partners. Entry hazards are also an issue for Galarian Darmanitan, since they reduce its lifespan greatly, especially if it's running Flare Blitz; therefore, Rapid Spin users such as the aforementioned Galarian Mr. Mime and Avalugg are mandatory teammates. Vanilluxe provides Aurora Veil support for Galarian Darmanitan, making it more useful against offensive teams by taking hits better and KOing faster, frailer enemies back. Swords Dance Weavile and Cloyster appreciate Galarian Darmanitan's capability to break walls for a late-game sweep. Froslass, Mamoswine, and Piloswine can lay down Spikes and Stealth Rock, respectively, softening defensive Pokemon like Toxapex for Galarian Darmanitan.

- lmfao change the set name clown, love it tho
- wouldnt list rotom-h as a target of icicle crash lol
- excadrill mostly runs choice scarf so staying in vs it with band darm is not a good idea. use a diff example
- the first sentence of the second paragraph is phrased weirdly, rewrite it
- talk about what the choice scarfers can take care of for darm

I would change the Icicle Crash example for Rotom-H, I don't think it's a likely situation since you're Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan against Fire.

"Earthquake nails Toxapex and Torkoal after Stealth Rock, and is Galarian Darmanitan's best way to damage Snorlax. "
Not sure I like how this is worded, I would just say how Earthquake can hit these two Pokemon for an enormous amount of damage, remove the Stealth Rock part, and then say at the bottom where you mention the hazard setters and then you can talk about how Stealth Rock are good for being more reliable against them. I'm iffy on saying it needs Stealth Rock to OHKO them since it already can, Stealth Rock only makes it more reliable.

"Revenge killers that can beat them, like Weavile and Galarian Mr. Mime, are, therefore, great partners.""
Specify these are Choice Scarf users.

"Froslass, Mamoswine and Piloswine can lay down Spikes and Stealth Rock respectively, allowing Galarian Darmanitan to net more OHKOes reliably versus defensive Pokemon such as Toxapex and Torkoal."
Check second note.

Good job QC 2/2

By virtue of the stacked boosts from Choice Band and Gorilla Tactics onto its already amazing Attack stat, this iteration of (no other set on this analysis for now at least) Galarian Darmanitan is an obscenely powerful wallbreaker in the metagame. Icicle Crash is Galarian Darmanitan's STAB move, able to destroy walls that doesn't resist it, like Clefable, and even frailer Ice-resistsant Pokemon on the switch-in, such as Crawdaunt. Fire Punch and Flare Blitz serve as coverage to nail Steel- and Ice-types that resist Icicle Crash; the former one is prefferred, as it already OHKOes Corviknight and Ferrothorn without recoil damage. However, the latter scores killKOs versus Levitate Bronzong, +1 Corviknight, Mamoswine, and Aegislash after contact with King's Shield. Earthquake nails Toxapex and Torkoal, (RC) and is Galarian Darmanitan's best way to damage Snorlax. U-turn takes advantage of the number of switches Galarian Darmanitan forces, generating momentum for the team while hitting back reasonably hard. A Jolly nature is vital to outrun Kommo-o and tie with other base 95 Speed Pokemon such as Indeedee.

Other Choice Scarf revenge killers that can beat them, like Weavile and Galarian Mr. Mime, are, thus, great partners. Entry hazards are also an issue for Galarian Darmanitan, since they reduce its lifespamn greatly, especially if it's running Flare Blitz; therefore, Rapid Spin users such as the aforementioned Galarian Mr. Froslass, Mamoswine, (AC) and Piloswine can lay down Spikes and Stealth Rock, (AC) respectively, softening defensive Pokemon like Toxapex for Galarian Darmanitan.
