Tapu Bulu @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Superpower
- Nature's Madness
- Zen Headbutt / Stone Edge

With its Grassy Terrain-boosted Wood Hammers and base 130 Attack, Tapu Bulu is one of the most devastating attackers in DOU; sadly, its meager base 75 Speed leaves it too slow to be consistent at a dedicated offensive role. Having a Choice Scarf equipped changes this as the Speed boost, which allows it to outrun up to Mega Manectric, lets it threaten more foes without being offensively checked as often. Tapu Bulu doesn't mind locking itself to one move, as it can solely rely on Wood Hammer for damage, taking advantage of the sheer power to decimate foes; the other moves are purely dedicated for hitting specific targets and, in Nature's Madness's case, spreading notable chip damage. While this set is better at applying instant pressure, it's still useful for what you'd generally pick Tapu Bulu itself for: Terrain control and additional defensive utility. Be sure to pair Tapu Bulu with teammates that can deal with Steel-types well like Incineroar and Heat Wave Zapdos, as Steel-types can take Tapu Bulu's blows reliably.

I know these don't need as much description as an analysis, but seeing Nature's Madness and potentially Superpower, which gets weaker over time, as moves for a Scarf Pokemon might seem strange at first so those should get a quick mention. Something along the lines of "Wood Hammer is stronger than most other moves on nearly any target, so the remaining slots are dedicated to specific targets or team support".

You talk about "the drawback" without ever really making clear what that is - while I was able to figure it out from context clues, that's another that should probably be mentioned specifically (eg, Tapu Bulu doesn't mind being unable to switch moves)

Lando-T also doesn't take on the Steel-types that wall Bulu very well, with Genesect, MSciz, and Ferrothorn being some of the biggest issues for it. Maybe suggest Volcanion or Heat Wave Zapdos?

Might be difficult to keep this short after adding a few lines I gave, so if you're debating between leaving a few lines in or out send me a PM and we'll work it out.

With its Grassy Terrain-boosted Wood Hammers off and base 130 base Attack, Tapu Bulu is one of the most devastating attackers in DOU; (comma -> semicolon) but sadly, its meager base 75 Speed leaves it too slow to be consistent at a dedicated offensive role. (You can add 'However' back in here if you want, it felt off for sentence flow in its previous spot) Having a Choice Scarf equipped changes this, however, as the Speed boost, (AC) which that allows it to outrun up to Mega Manectric, (AC) lets it threaten more foes without being offensively checked as often. Tapu Bulu doesn't mind locking itself to one move, (AC) as it can solely rely on Wood Hammer for damage, taking advantage of the sheer power to decimate foes; the other moves are purely dedicated for hitting specific targets and, in Nature's Madness's case, spreading notable chip damage. Still, While (otherwise you use 'still' twice in the same sentence) this set is better at applying instant pressure, it's still useful for what you'd generally pick Tapu Bulu itself for: Terrain control and additional defensive utility. Be sure to pair Tapu Bulu with teammates that can deal with Steel-types well like Incineroar and Heat Wave Zapdos, as they Steel-types (removed pronoun ambiguity) can take Tapu Bulu's blows reliably.
