Aurorus @ Choice Specs
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Blizzard
- Freeze-Dry
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power Rock

Since its return to PU, Aurorus has proven itself to be one of the tier's most dangerous wallbreakers as a result of its solid offensive typing, high Special Attack, and access to a ridiculously strong and spammable STAB move in Blizzard. Snow Warning perfects Blizzard's accuracy and supplies additional chip damage on foes, making it hard for teams to switch into Aurorus should they lack Pokemon such as Miltank and the uncommon Grumpig. Another factor in what makes Aurorus so threatening is its good coverage in Freeze-Dry and Earth Power, allowing it to bypass Water-, Fire-, and Steel-types such as Lanturn, Assault Vest Magmortar, and Togedemaru. While its typing isn't stellar defensively, the ability to switch into and threaten out passive Pokemon such as Altaria and Weezing while also offensively checking Pokemon like Oricorio-G is certainly useful. Aurorus's issues lie in its poor defensive typing and low Speed, which makes it easy to revenge kill. Checks to Fighting- and Steel-types are necessary, since they can threaten Aurorus with 4x effective STAB moves, so Pokemon such as Mesprit and Gurdurr are good teammates.

Aurorus's issues lie in its poor defensive typing and low Speed, making it easy to revenge kill. Strong physical wallbreakers such as Kingler and Stoutland appreciate Aurorus pressuring Pokemon such as Gastrodon and Weezing and can in turn pressure Pokemon such as Clefairy and Type: Null same w/the aurorus doesnt rly need null pressured.
idk the last sentence seems very underwhelming, the fact that it pairs really well with physical wallbreakers is good but the way it's phrased comes out more as "physical mons beat spdef mons and special mons beat phys def mons" which is like yeah. something that more speaks to aurorus in particular would be good. otherwise ye this is fine
