This is a 1 town vs 2 mafia OC game.

Suggested but not required reading to understand the temple mechanics: the original Temple game, Raiders of the Lost Mafia

There will be some variations between the original setup and the new one.

Rules
Standard Mafia

1. No screenshots except to those mentioned in your role PM as on your team. No copy/pasting from your role PM on N0. You can paste logs/conversations at any time, and role PMs/results beginning on D1.
2. Do not be a poor sport, and play to your win condition.
3. The vote format will be bolded "!vote ALIAS" formatted as such, so I can CTRL-F to confirm I do not miss anyone. Failure to include the "!vote" text will render your vote invalid. This is your only warning.
4. To unvote or change your vote, the format will be bolded "!unvote ALIAS" and then a new, bolded "!vote ALIAS" if you wish to change.
5. To vote for nobody, use "!vote no lynch" - this is a valid vote option. Ties will result in no lynch. "No lynch" receiving majority will also result in no lynch.
6. Do not speak to dead users about the game. There is a graveyard chat for villagers and spectators. Both mafia teams have deadtalk enabled. DO NOT speak to users not aligned with you once one or both of you have died.
7. Please add me to your group DMs, Smogon conversations, and game servers on Discord.
8. Here is a link to the game's Discord server, I highly recommend joining so people can coordinate with you. Spectators and subs welcome; spectators are ineligible to sub.
9. Submit your actions in your Smogon Role PM conversation, not over Discord. This will make it more difficult for me to accidentally miss your action.
10. Other standard Circus rules not listed above apply.

Game-Specific
1. This is a 1 village, 2 mafia game. There is no possibility of changing alignment. There are no other alignments.
2. The village win condition is: You are allied with the Town Relics. You win if the Proper Comedic Timing Relics and the Utility Players are eliminated while at least one Town Relic is still alive.
3. The mafia 1 win condition is: You are allied with the Proper Comedic Timing Relics. You win if the Town Relics and the Utility Players are eliminated while at least one Proper Comedic Timing Relic is still alive.
4. The mafia 2 win condition is: You are allied with the Utility Players. You win if the Town Relics and the Proper Comedic Timing Relics are eliminated while at least one Utility Player is still alive.
5. There are items in this game. They are obtained from visiting Temples. Some items may be one-offs, others have infinite copies available. While a killer will be informed of what item their victim was carrying, the item will remain on the dead user's body. The same goes for the vote, which will publicly state what item(s) the voted user died with. There may be ways to retrieve these items. If you're going to loot temples, why stop there?
6. In addition to standard actions, you also have the nightly ability to visit a Temple. You are obligated to attempt to visit a temple each night - whether you succeed or not is temple-dependent. Intentionally idling your temple visit will nullify protective roles on you.
7. The list of temples is (in the OP), in approximate order of dangerousness. They also include hints to their entrance requirements.
8. You can die to temples, both to the RNG or to their destruction or sealing if you are inside when these events occur.
9. Temple visits cannot be disrupted by roleblock-type actions, but there may be other abilities that can disrupt them.
10. Half of the temples have probability-based outcomes. Each outcome has been assigned a set of numbers from 1-100. If you visit one, you must also submit a number from 1-100. Whatever result your number was pre-assigned for that temple, is what you will receive. These resolve at the end of the night cycle.
11. The other half of the temples have adventure-based outcomes. You will be given a list of options to 'explore' within the temple during the day. Once you reach a dead-end, you will receive the result for that end. These adventures are undertaken during the day, and resolve at the end of the day cycle.
12. If you don't find it likely you will have time to go on your temple adventure (can be done over Discord when I am online to expedite the process) during the day phase, you may wish to stick with the RNG temples. An incomplete adventure will result in no reward. Two incomplete adventures will nullify protective roles on you.
13. Several temples have entrance requirements. There may be ways to discover these if they are not immediately obvious. If a temple asks you to attempt to enter it 2 nights in a row and grants entry on the second night, the first night will NOT be considered a temple idle, if you submit your action, even if you do not get in.
14. Roles may interact based on your temple location. You will need to use deduction and treachery to solve or thwart these mechanisms. If you are looking for a puzzle, this game is for you. If you want straight-forward inspection mechanics, this game may leave you feeling like you fell victim to a booby trap.
15. Temple assigned outcome ranges and reward paths will be rerandomized each night, so you cannot feed someone "I sent 8 last night and got X item, do that tonight." The outcome probabilities will always remain the same.
16. All kill flavors are predetermined. You should be able to assess who performed each action.
17. There may be roles or items that can alter what information one receives as part of their results. It is your job to determine what is trustworthy. You are warned!
18. Note that if 'funny role names' were members of the Proper Comedic Timing Relics, most of the game would be mafia. Their theme is specific tropes of comedy, and all mafia are provided safeclaims.
19. While hammer is in effect, based on the total number of votes, hammer will not be called until 2/3 of the living players have voted, unless the voted party wishes to cede their life, and all adventure temple players have completed their quests.
20. Priority is predetermined. Most roles of the same type should operate at the same speed, with tiebreakers preestablished in case two disruptive roles clash.
21. All players are assigned an alias. All aliases which vote during the day will be listed in alphabetical order at the end of the day. I wrote all role PMs before the children complained they would be nametargeted and find+replaced USER with ALIAS in all role PMs. If something does not make grammatical sense, blame Google Docs.
22. This game was designed for 30 players. It was, however, expanded to include 40+ prior to signups going up. If more than 30 people wish to play, the community/mods will discuss if the game should be expanded and run at a larger size. It can be scaled to any number between 30-42 with pre-written roles.
23. If an item is unique, in a probability temple, and more than one person chooses its number in the same night, it will be RNGed between them who receives it. If an item is unique and in an adventure temple, whoever completes the adventure first will receive it.

Sign-ups will close on 6/28 at 4:30pm Pacific and the game will be randed and begin at 5pm Pacific.
