SM NU Cooling Down Hawaii [Peaked #6 on the Ladder]

This is my first RMT in a while. The team is really solid, so bear with me!
I made this team with a good friend of mine, so I will be talking mostly in the 'we' form.

If you have tried this team or are going to try this team, leave your thoughts in the comments below. If you have any suggestions on how to improve this team, also leave that down below.

The Teambuilding Process:
So my friend and I hadn't played NU for a while and decided to lurk the forums to see what was hot and what's not. We saw this core that seemed interesting to build around. My friend, at the time, was sceptic, but he changed his mind a lot!

&

The core that we opted to go with was a specially offensive core consisting of Vanilluxe and Comfey.

We added Incineroar based on the idea that it is the best Pokémon in the meta-game right now and it is less predictable than the other two Pokémons. It also functions as a good pivot into our offensive core, because of the slow U-turn.

The team thusfar lacked some synergy. We had some trouble with Fighting types, ground types and were relatively weak to hazards. Rotom, at the time, fixed a lot of our problems.

With Rotom added to our squad the team became quite specially oriented and we wanted to add a physical set-up sweeper that benefits from a Z-crystal. Klinklang fits the team really well, because it has good synergy with Comfey that is our late game cleaner. Admittedly, Klinklang sometimes can be very underwhelming.

The last member that we added to the squad was Seismitoad. We did not switch in too well to scalds and hadn't added a rock setter to the team yet. Seismitoad is surprisingly fast for a bulky water type and completed our first version of the team. (No worries! There are only two versions).

The team as it will be explained below looks like this. Rotom did an okay job as a defogger and Volt Switcher, but it was quite underwhelming. So we tried something that had a similar job to Rotom but fit slightly better synergy-wise at it completed our Fire-Water-Grass core and had reliable recovery.

Set Details:

Vanilluxe @ Choice Specs
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Blizzard
- Freeze-Dry
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Vanilluxe is the main wallbreaker on this team. Vanilluxe takes care of a lot of things that stand in the way of Comfey, such as Vilepume, Garbodor and Dhelmise. Our recommendation would be is to aggressively switch in Vanilluxe early game as much as you can to try and punch a hole in the opponents team. Incineroar, that is the most commonly used switch-in to this monster is easily chipped by the combination of Stealth Rocks and Blizzard. The Spe EVs allow you to outspeed bulky Incineroar and most walls. Very remarkable about this Pokémon is that a lot of teams, especially low-ladder, do not have a switch-in to this thing as everything faints within at least 2 or 3 hits.

Comfey @ Pixie Plate
Ability: Triage
EVs: 232 HP / 252 SpA / 24 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Draining Kiss
- Hidden Power [Ground] / Taunt
- Synthesis

Comfey is probably one of the best late-game cleaners I have ever used. It's ability allows it to always go first and after the things that take it on one-vs-one have been taken care of by Vanilluxe there's no stopping this monstrosity. You can run Taunt over HP Ground, which allows you to take on the bulkier things with Toxic, such as Vaporeon or Slowbro.

Incineroar @ Iapapa Berry
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 224 HP / 132 Def / 132 SpD / 20 Spe
Careful Nature
- Knock Off
- U-turn
- Flare Blitz
- Earthquake

Honestly, Incineroar is the greatest thing in this tier. It switches in on everything that directly forces out Comfey and can hit it hard with near-flawless coverage. On this team Incineroar is mostly used as a sponge to take hits and then U-turn out again into one of the main sweepers - this is mostly Vanilluxe. The 20 Spe EVs allow you to u-turn out on other Incineroars without getting the Iapapa Berry knocked off. In the tier in general, the tiger functions a lot like Lando-T in OU (what do you counter Lando-T with? That's right another Lando-T.)

Decidueye @ Colbur Berry
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 248 HP / 224 SpA / 36 Spe
Modest Nature
- Leaf Storm
- U-turn
- Roost
- Defog

Our team gets pressured a lot from hazards and Decidueye has proven to be a very reliable way of removing hazards. Together with Seismitoad this is the main way to deal with bulky water types in the tier, as wish Vaporeon and Slack Off Slowbro ultimately beat Seismitoad. Decidueye switches in to Scalds fearlessly, because we opted to go for a special variant. And similar to Incineroar, U-turn allows you to switch around freely on your opponents to get in bigger threats like Klinklang and Vanilluxe for free.

Klinklang @ Electrium Z / Steelium Z
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Shift Gear
- Gear Grind
- Wild Charge
- Magnet Rise

Klinklang in the set-up sweeper that we opted go work with. It's role on this team is to dent the main walls on your opponent's team. Bulky waters often think that they are a switch-in but +1 Electrium Z guarenteed OHKOs both defensive Blastoise and Vaporeon (and Slowbro after rocks). Magnet Rise allows is to more easily set up on a worn down Steelix. Another option would be to run Normalium Z with Return instead of either Wild Charge or Magnet Rise.

Seismitoad @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Stealth Rock
- Scald
- Protect
- Toxic

Toad is the glue to this team. Rocks help this team out incredibly. With Decidueye as a reliable spin blocker for Blastoise. Rocks allows you to pressure Incineroar that's mostly the only switch to Vanilluxe and allows an OHKO on Slowbro with a +1 GigaVolt Havoc. Seismitoad is also the main switch-in to physical attackers such as Incineroar or Sneasel. Protect is there to scout for choiced Pokémon and allow easier switches and more toxic damage on the opponent. Since Seismitoad is naturally quite fast, and a lot of people seem to forget that, it outspeeds bulky incineroar and gets a scald off before they U-turn out.
