Introduction
With the recent rise of Weezing-Galar stall builds, Stall teams have been unable to as easily fit the traditional dozo+clod unaware core in favor of having to fit a secondary removal option with their auto selects like blissey, gliscor, and galarian weezing. This made stall teams either weak to physical set up mons if they drop dozo or weak to special spam as blissey+spedef scor+spedef mola or av pex have to answer multiple special mons. Counter Clodsire is able to trade in the physical bulk of dozo but can respond while countering physical set up mons or setting up with curse on them like Kingambit, Weavile, Ogerpon, Kyurem after tera, Zamazenta and more while keeping its matchup into common special set up sweepers like Np darkrai, Raging Bolt, Iron moth and more. Adding Blissey, Pecharunt as secondary answers to set up mons while filling the core with talonflame+weezing for removal and adding spedef gliscor as a hazard setter, status absorber, knock absorber, and knock off user to fill the team to fill the team.

The Team

clodsire.png

Clodsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Bulldoze/Poison Jab
- Recover
- Curse
- Counter

The Main Inspiration around building the team. An issue I have personally had with non-boots spam Weezing-Galar Stall Builds is the inability to use both clodsire and dondozo making the build either weak to physical set up spam or special set up spam. Enter Counter Curse Clodsire, Counter is a cool tech that lets you trade into mons like Kingambit and Dragonite, SD Facade Scor. and after tera into weavile and Ogerpon. Curse will Let you beat mons like dd kyurem after tera, ID press zama. Facade Knock SD scor after tera. Max Defense over Max Hp Improves its ability to take physical hits at the sacrifice of a little of its special defense. Tera Steel is mainly for the ability to always curse on dd kyurem which if it tera fires, it is susceptible to a counter which also eases the pressure on pecharunt in some matchups, but is also solid for weavile, meowscarada, hattereene, iron crown and psyshock gholdengo. For the attacking move both Bulldoze and Poison Jab are good option though i prefer bulldoze. Bulldoze is chosen over poison jab for the higher pp.

pecharunt.png

Pecharunt @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Poison Puppeteer
Tera Type:
Dark
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Foul Play
- Malignant Chain
- Parting Shot
- Recover

Standard Phys Def Pecharunt adds a very solid general Physical check to help vs Ogerpon, DD Kyurem, SD Facade Knock Scor, Zamazenta, and more. Tera Dark adds the ability to beat any sort of kingambit, adds a resist to dark which is nice in an emergency vs darkrai and give you an extra power boost on foul play. Rocky Helmet Is Mainly to force progress vs zamazenta, Punish U-turns and punish any knock off's you have to take from like valiant.

talonflame.png

Talonflame @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Flame Body
Tera Type: Dragon
EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Flamethrower
- Defog
- Roost

Talonflame is one of the two defoggers on this team while adding an answer to mons like great tusk barring head smash, kingambit barring tera fire all while threatening a burn for touching it. Talonflame's main role is to switch into great tusk and defog on non stone edge rocks lando or rocks tusk, treads. If the flame body is procced on tusk, pecharunt can safely stop rapid spin too. The speed stat reaches 325 for enamorus and iron crown while rest is in defense. Tera Dragon is just for ogerpon but ideally this never teras.

weezing-galar.png

Weezing-Galar @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Neutralizing Gas
Tera Type: Ghost/Dragon
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Will-O-Wisp
- Defog
- Pain Split
- Toxic Spikes/Strange Steam/Sludge Bomb

Weezing-Galar Serves as the second defogger and main way to force progress through fatter teams by shutting off magic guard clef, gliscor, and regen mons. Toxic Spikes was preferred over an attack here due to the usage of psyspam with no grounded poison and removal beyond hatt being seen on ladder. Tera Ghost is mainly for emergency spin blockage and ursaluna but dragon is also an option for Ogerpon.

gliscor.png

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 244 HP / 36 Def / 228 SpD
Impish Nature
- Spikes
- Toxic
- Knock Off
- Protect

Gliscor serves as the glue to this team with being the spike setter, knock user, status spreader, status absorber, and knock absorber. EV wise it has enough ev's to live an adamant ivy cudgel from ogerpon and 244 hp for pheal and rest in spedef. Being a spedef ground lets it stop momentum from zapdos, iron crown, raging bolt though it does have to be careful. Is also able to toxic ting lu and toxic clef which can be abused by weezing which would otherwise be hard to break. Tera Ice is mainly for sub tect kyurem so you can pp stall it with bliss+tera scor, but also is neutral into most of the mons it answers. Can also abuse slowking chilly from the opponent i guess but this rarely clicks tera.

blissey.png

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
Tera Type: Dark
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Flamethrower
- Soft-Boiled
- Stealth Rock

For the last mon is blissey who is required on stall, Running a very standard set here that serves as the rocker and primary ghold answer with tera dark for psyshock. Blissey does what blissey normally does with cming on opposing set up specials and fishing for burns with flamethrower throughout the game.

Problematic Mons
:Deoxys-Speed: NP is an insane threat into this team mainly if it is tera fighting focus blast, try to pp stall it with switches and teraing clod
:Kyurem: Sub protect and DD are very threatening but tools like gliscor+bliss should beat special sub variants and pech+ tera clod beats sub dd protect. DD scale shot is also threatening
:Blissey: :Alomomola: :Gliscor: Opposing Heavy Duty Boots Stall is unable to break through play for tie

:Ting-Lu: Annoying to break but manageable

Thank you for carrying my elo with this NASTY team. I changed glisc to tera water which gave a surprise factor versus modest wake sun and helps make ivy cudgel a little less free. Also helped beat someone using volcanion (?). Talonflame feels better to use post moon ban for sure. Might change back to tera ice when I get farmed by enough kyurems

Hi, how do you deal with Hamurott? Do you just go to Gweezing and sit there while he is burned? Pain split is not very reliable recovery.

Also, it's incredibly annoying when enemies trick Choice Scarf onto your mons. As an inexperienced stall user, how do you play around that?
