Caribolt @ Life Orb

This definitely loses to the posted Caribolt set - Ferrothorn is notoriously set-up fodder for Caribolt, especially when it has synthesis. I think Body Press + Knock off would beat it but I digress.
+6 252 Atk Galvanize Caribolt Body Slam vs. 248 HP / 216+ Def Ferrothorn: 176-207 (50.1 - 58.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
With no recovery on Ferrothorn, Caribolt can easily set up on it, recover with Synthesis and proceed to beat it.

Heatran @ Leftovers

Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Flash Cannon

Heatran is not available in Gen 8, so this is void.

Also another reminder to please try and keep the sets you use to viable ones I'm going to start being stricter from here on out with the Yucks.

Since we're starting again from Caribolt:
:ss/Dragapult:
Dragapult @ Choice Specs

Toxtricity (M) @ Choice Band
Ability: Punk Rock
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe

252+ Atk Choice Band Toxtricity Poison Jab vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Sylveon: 504-594 (127.9 - 150.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Hey guys, I know it's fun to come up with a Pokemon that neatly counters the previous submission, but let's take a look at one of the rules in the OP:

6. Don't post terribly unviable sets for the sake of posting terribly unviable sets. It goes against the spirit of this project, as it requires next to no thought for the next poster to counter the mon, and it doesn't teach us any relevant information about the metagame. I'm completely fine with niche or lesser used mons being used, but not intentional garbage mons (use your judgement).
The benefit of having this project is to expand the number of viable sets in the metagame. Perhaps in trying to counter a Pokemon, you find a great option on an otherwise established Pokemon that varies up its sets a little bit. Basically, your post looks more impressive if your set not only counters the previous submission, but also stands up in the metagame as a whole.

Anyway, here's a Diggersby check for more offensive builds:

Tomohawk @ Metronome
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 52 HP / 252 SpA / 204 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hurricane
- Aura Sphere
- Rapid Spin
- Roost

-1 252 Atk Choice Band Huge Power Diggersby Body Slam vs. 52 HP / 0 Def Tomohawk: 178-210 (48.9 - 57.6%) -- 53.1% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

252 SpA Tomohawk Aura Sphere vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Diggersby: 300-354 (96.4 - 113.8%) -- 75% chance to OHKO

Not the sturdiest counter, but it has a favorable matchup and can stave off a Pokemon that's otherwise pretty difficult for offensive teams to switch into.

252 SpA Tomohawk Hurricane vs. 252 HP / 208 SpD Equilibra: 60-71 (14.7 - 17.4%) -- not a KO

48+ SpA Equilibra Doom Desire vs. 52 HP / 0 SpD Tomohawk: 265-313 (72.8 - 85.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

:sm/seismitoad:

- Scald

This Seismitoad is Yuck because the Equilibra it is replying to has Levitate. This forces Seismitoad to use Scald which fails to win the damage race against Equilibra.

0 SpA Seismitoad Scald vs. 252 HP / 208 SpD Equilibra: 110-132 (26.9 - 32.3%) -- guaranteed 4HKO

:rotom-heat:
Rotom-Heat @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 88 Def / 172 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot
- Overheat
- Thunder Wave
- Volt Switch

48+ SpA Equilibra Doom Desire vs. 248 HP / 0 SpD Rotom-Heat: 52-61 (17.1 - 20.1%) -- possible 5HKO

0 SpA Rotom-Heat Overheat vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Equilibra: 254-300 (73.6 - 86.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+2 0 SpA Rotom-Heat Overheat vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Equilibra: 506-596 (146.6 - 172.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

This set works very well right now, as it beats Dugtrio (unless you sac it to stone edge like an idiot), Jumbao, and can paralyse Mollux.

Haxorus @ Life Orb
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Outrage
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab

Mold Breaker Earthquake for levitating Steels, Poison for Fairies, and DD Outrage for pretty much anything else.

1579742046085.png

Avalugg @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Impish Nature
- Avalanche
- Recover
- Body Press
- Rapid Spin

If the haxorus didn't set up:
252+ Atk Life Orb Mold Breaker Haxorus Outrage vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Avalugg: 142-168 (36 - 42.6%) -- guaranteed 3HKO
If it is +1:
+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Mold Breaker Haxorus Outrage vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Avalugg: 212-251 (53.8 - 63.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

0 Atk Avalugg Avalanche vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Haxorus: 324-384 (110.5 - 131%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Avalugg can switch in to haxorus and not get 2hkoed by outrage. If the haxorus sets up while Avalugg switches in, it still will eat up the outrage.

Jho edit: Sturdy is unreleased and since it doesn't change anything with how good a check it is to Hax, I just changed the import
