SM OU Crimson Streaks

Crimson Streaks
Hello everyone! Sun and Moon's Pre-Pokebank metagame is home to a lot of fun Pokemon to use. New ones, old ones, they're all interesting with this new metagame. I built this team a couple days ago with that in mind and it's been fairly successful on ladder, yet I think it could use some work. That's why I'm here! Now let's get into this RMT!

Crimera (Toxapex) @ Black Sludge
Ability: Regenerator
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 196 Def / 56 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic
- Baneful Bunker
- Recover
Did someone say wall? Donald Trump should use this thing when he becomes president, would work well. Political jokes aside, Toxapex on this team functions as my defensive wall. With its Water/Poison typing, it has only 3 weaknesses as well as 8 resistances, it can tank a crap ton of hits and poison/burn most opponents in return. Scald is for burning stuff, Toxic and Baneful Bunker serve to cripple the opponent (unless it is Steel or Poison type), and Recover for reliable recovery outside of Regenerator.

Overload (Tapu Koko) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Electric Surge
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Dazzling Gleam
- Grass Knot
- Volt Switch
POWER...OVERFLOWING! Those of you who got that reference, you get a cookie. But anyway, Tapu Koko is an incredibly powerful Pokemon. With its base 130 speed the Guardian of Melemele can outspeed almost any opponent that comes its way and hit back hard with a Specs boosted attack. Thunderbolt and Volt Switch with the boost from Electric Terrain hit incredibly hard, and the latter can get Tapu Koko out of dangerous situations if need be. Dazzling Gleam is its Fairy STAB and kills stray Dragons and Fighting types alike, and Grass Knot hits heavy Ground types hard where Dazzling Gleam cannot.

Emmeryn (Tsareena) @ Lum Berry
Ability: Queenly Majesty
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Trop Kick
- U-turn
- High Jump Kick
- Rapid Spin
YASSS QUEEN! Enough cringe-worthy quotes. Tsareena definitely is a queen in my eyes thanks to what she has done on this team. As she is surprisingly packing Rapid Spin and having enough speed to outspeed most slow hazard setters, as well as having her STAB weaken physical attackers upon contact, Tsareena is a force to be reckoned with that people do not often expect. Trop Kick, as stated before, gets STAB and lowers Attack, U-Turn serves as utility, HJK is a very powerful move which stops Steel types in their tracks as well as Ice types to an extent, and Rapid Spin serves to remove hazards, which when you see the next Pokemon on this team you will see is very useful.

Masked Man (Mimikyu) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Shadow Claw
- Play Rough
- Shadow Sneak
"Looks can be deceiving." Considering this is literally the Disguise Pokemon, not to mention the fact that something so small can have so much power, I'm not surprised. This little Pokemon has many tricks up its sleeve (or costume) because of both its STABs being resisted by NO mon in SM OU (for you nerds out there, the only Pokemon that resists/is immune to both Ghost and Fairy is Pyroar) and breaking the base 95 speed tier by one point. Swords Dance allows Mimikyu to sweep with its STABs. Shadow Sneak is a priority move that allows it to kill or do decent damage to incoming non Dark or Normal types that are faster than this Pikachu mimic. Shadow Claw and Play Rough are both incredible STAB moves that do incredible damage after a Swords Dance.

Huff N Puff (Lycanroc) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Accelerock
- Stone Edge
- Fire Fang
He huffed and he puffed and the house blew down! Well, in this case, he Stealth Rocked and Accelerocked until the sweepers fell down. Breaking the 110 speed tier while still boasting good power, Lycanroc-D is an incredible Stealth Rock setter and offensive Pokemon (sorry Midnight form). Stealth Rock is the main selling point of this set, as it allows my offensive mons to grab OHKOs they could not before. Stone Edge is a strong STAB move that does decent damage to most things in its path, Accelerock is a great priority move which allows Lycanroc to finish off opponents as well as do decent damage to things faster than it before dying such as Tapu Koko, Pheromosa, and Scarf mons. Fire Fang is mostly for Grass and Steel types, but Crunch or Taunt can be used in this slot effectively as well.

Streak (Garchomp) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Rough Skin
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Poison Jab
- Dragon Claw
- Stone Edge
"Mach Pokemon." Can't even learn Fly, smh. Anyway, Scarf Chomp is definitely a good Pokemon in the meta. While Dragons have suffered due to the introduction of the Tapus, Garchomp has suffered less of this, with the Scarf set being able to destroy two of the Tapus (Koko and Bulu) while doing decent damage to the other two. EQ is an incredible STAB move, which combined with Garchomp's base 130 Attack will hurt almost anything. Poison Jab is for Fairies, and unlike Iron Head gives the opportunity to be super effective against Tapu Fini and OHKO Tapu Bulu. Dragon Claw is used over Outrage because of the numerous amount of Fairies introduced in SM, and Dragon Claw still hits hard. Stone Edge combined with EQ hits every type in the game for at least neutral coverage and destroys Flying types not named Celesteela.

And that's the team!
All suggestions are appreciated. :D Have a nice day all!
