[SET COMMENTS]
Curse Dragapult is a unique yet highly threatening Pokemon in the metagame, boasting impressive speed alongside respectable bulk and combined wallbreaking and stallbreaking capabilities. Curse allows Dragapult to nullify stall Pokemon such as Galarian Corsola, Chansey, and Type: Null, by hindering their longevity and subsequently disabling recovery options. The combination of Substitute and Disable allows Dragapult to deal with Choice-Itemed Pokemon that Dragapult outspeeds such as Choice Band Galarian Darmanitan, Choice Band Crustle, and Choice Specs Porygon-Z. Phantom Force allows Dragapult to deal damage, however is primarily used as a means of evading the foe's attacks, allowing Dragapult to maximize active Curse turns to inflict the most damage possible. Sitrus Berry is used in tandem with the HP investment which allows the activation of Sitrus Berry after Dragapult uses Curse. This, alongside the SpD investment, allows Dragapult to survive Flash Cannon from Choice Specs Magnezone after using Curse. The remaining EVs are invested into defense, which gives Dragapult the best chance of defeating multi-hit move Pokemon such as Choice Band Crustle and Scyther. A Jolly nature is used to outspeed max speed base 110 Pokemon and below, such as non-Choice Scarf Gengar, Porygon-Z, and Hydreigon.

Dragapult utilizes a combination of Curse, Substitute, and Disable to defeat any Choice-item Pokemon that are slower, barring Crustle which is reliant on Rock Blast hits. In matchups against potentially slower Choice-item Pokemon such as Magnezone, Haxorus, and Galarain Darmanitan, Dragapult should immediately use Substitute followed by Disable which forces the opponent into Struggle. Following this, Dragapult utilizes its Substitute and Phantom Force combination to maximize Curse damage and subsequently KO. Against Magnezone, Dragapult should always use Curse immediately as there are no Magneone sets capable of an OHKO on Dragapult after Curse given the recovery from Sitrus Berry. Against Alolan Marowak, Dragapult uses Curse to activate Sitrus Berry and thus negate Poltergeist, which is then followed by Phantom Force as Alolan-Marowak is incapable of a 2HKO without Poltergeist. When facing the aforementioned Stall pokemon such as Galarian Corsola, Chansey, and Type: Null, Dragapult should use Curse then followed with Disable once they use a recovery move such as Soft-Boiled or Rest. Fairy-type such as Primarina, Sylveon and Aromatisse are good partners since they defeat faster threats namely Choice Scarf users such as Haxorus and Galarian Darmanitan, and naturally faster Pokemon like Zeraora. In return, Dragapult can beat stronger threats such as Choice Band Rillaboom, Galarian Darmanitan, and Choice Specs Porygon-Z.
