[Dark] Leader Geodude vs. Challenger AOPSUser (Ref: Gale)

McKrow: Welcome everyone! How are you all feeling tonight? RU Ready for an entertaining Gym Battle?

Burd: Gosh McKrow, a night battle is way different from a day battle. I mean the glaring stadium lights, the dark skies and the inability to see the cheering crowd is a bit difficult for me to adjust atleast. What about you?

McKrow: Ha Ha... I actually like the dark. It is fun in the stands, at night and under the lights, when you don't have to care about who is looking at you; while you watch the ongoing battle under bright lights. Its like you miss none of the battle's fun and still get to keep some privacy.

Burd: I don't know, I haven't felt that way in the stands. Besides why would you need privacy in a pokemon stadium?

McKrow: Lol, you are still a kid Burd... you need to grow up. Anyways, as for the battle; it will be an interesting one between a new Gym Leader and a seasoned trainer who is interested in qualifying for the STEEL Gym as well.

Burd: Hmm, so its like a new Leader versus a future Leader.

McKrow: Well the STEEL qualifiers are a long way from completion but AOPSUser is definitely one of the favorites for taking the Gym Leader Title there. And as far as this battle is concerned I am a bit divided IMO.

Burd: The challenger must be confident in his skill as he has brought three fighting types and a Dragon, while not trying to diversify his team with Bug and Fairy pokemon.

McKrow: Dark Gym needs to be punched right through,
I have heard this somewhere haven't I?

Burd: {smiles} But I am sure Leader Geodude hasn't brought Honchkrow and Mandibuzz tonight just for fun, has he?

McKrow: Yeah, I think we would get to see; Greninja, Colossoil, Honchkrow and Mandibuzz tonight. I especially would like to see Honchkrow.

Burd: Yeah I figured as much {smiles} Well it is about time and The Gym Leader is finally here, so we should be able to start the proceedings in a short while.
Battle Rules:
69gikj.png

4v4 Gym doubles (leader brings 7)
3 day DQ
Infinite recovers/chills
3 substitutions
Switch = OK
Items = ON; no "training items" permitted.
0 mega evolutions
Gym leader orders second on the first round.
Arena: Dark Gym
Dark Gym
Type
: Dark
Complexity: Moderate
Format: All

Description: TBD
  • Due to their innate sneakiness, all Dark-type Pokémon are now immune to the effects of full trapping moves and the abilities Arena Trap, Magnet Pull, and Shadow Tag. Dark-type Pokemon can also now switch out while affected by a partial trapping move (ex. Whirlpool) but will still be damaged by their effect. This ability only affects Pokemon that are naturally Dark-type and is retained even if the Pokemon changes type.
  • The battle takes place at night. Moonlight always heals its maximum HP value, even if the sky is obscured.
  • Skill Swap is now blocked by Substitute.
  • The ability Rivalry has no effect, but cannot be Skill Swapped.
  • Pokemon may not be forcibly switched out; they may only be switched out by their trainer.
  • The Base Attack Power of Psychic, Ghost, and Poison-type moves is increased by 2.
  • The Gym leader may bring Gyarados, but Gyarados is always Mega Evolved and and must hold the Gyaradosite.
===

Codifications:
  • Camouflage changes the user to a Ghost-type. Secret Power has a 30% chance to confuse. Nature Power becomes Ominous Wind.

"The crowd tonight are different from the usual fans and folks that we see in the ASB Arena everyday.
The fans today are more inclined towards trickery and deceit,
there are even some mysterious gangs present in the Gym,
I just hope that we get to see a normal Gym Battle without any interference from the crowd.

how the fucking hell do i order first against a greninja

fuck

Tomohawk@Expert Belt, Infernape@Rare Candy

Tomohawk: Aura Sphere (Colossoil)*3
IF Greninja is ordered to use Mat Block, AND Greninja is not Taunted, THEN use Taunt (Greninja) instead.
IF Colossoil is under the effects of a Protective/Evasive move when you would attack, THEN use Hurricane (Greninja) instead.
IF Colossoil is in the semi-invulnerable stage of a non-suspended non-comboed damaging evasive move when you would attack, THEN use Aura Sphere+Hyper Beam (Colossoil) (Aura Sphere+Focus Blast if you don't like AS+HB).

Infernape: Low Kick (Colossoil)*3
IF Colossoil is under the effects of a Protective/Evasive move when you would attack, THEN use Close Combat (Greninja) instead.
IF Colossoil is in the semi-invulnerable stage of a suspended non-comboed Dig when you would attack, THEN use Earthquake.
IF Colossoil is in the semi-invulnerable stage of a suspended non-comboed damaging evasive move when you would attack, THEN use Close Combat (Greninja) instead.

Greninja: Hydro Pump Infernape~Water Pulse Infernape~Ice Beam Tomohawk

Colossoil: Giga Impact+Drill Run Infernape~Cooldown (Peck Tomohawk)~Fake Out Tomohawk
(Combo should be good given that both moves are basically "chaaaarge!" If the combo is deemed infeasible I want a reorder.)

Round 1: Ape Drilled!:

The Soil Mammoth and the Trick Ninja were intimidated by the the Red hawk and the Blaze Monkey before they could move, and this could prove critical as the battle progresses. Both the Gym Leader and the Challenger waste no time and started off by attacking each other's vulnerable opponents.

Though challenger had the right idea, a well timed combination that could sink a ship, was launched by Saxton the Colossoil, that completely caught the challenger off-guard as he saw his Blaze Monkey being knocked out in the second action of the first round, without even attacking twice. The Leader has definitely asserted his prowess early in the battle and it looks to be an uphill task for the challenger from now on.

However, The Leader chooses to go into the next round with more health on his Soil Mammoth, rather than choosing to attack the red hawk; which is an inefficient choice but a great strategic move. Although, will it work on his favor? And who will the challenger send out next? Who in his team is ready to face this wrath that has been unleashed upon him by the Dark Lord himself? Muhuhahaha!

You missed the BAP bonus from Rare Candy. Therefore, Infernape should be dead and Colossoil should still be alive.

Round 2: The Red Hawk is Burned Alive!:

The Crit Krow joins the action on the Gym Leaders side of the field where as the Fighting Machine joins on the Challengers side of the field. The Trick Ninja wastes no time and fires a hidden power at the Red Hawk, while the Crit Krow and the Fighting Machine power-up for their powerful attacks. The Red Hawk is ready to accept his doom and decides to try one hand at a Powerful Hurricane, hoping to confuse the Trick Ninja, but its hopes were shattered as it was heavily beaten down by Crit Krow's powerful attack. The Fighting Machine doesn't take this to well and launches an even more powerful attack on the Trick Ninja, that finally did some considerable damaged to the pokemon this battle.

Sensing its doom, the Red Hawk decided that it should rather aid its partners while it is breathing so that they atleast stand a chance against this devastating duo. The Trick Ninja continues to consume little energy in dealing massive amounts of damage to her opponents, while the Fighting Machine cools down from his exhaustive endeavor last action. Crit Krow however finds this opportunity and deals a fiery blow to the Red Hawk to knock it out of contention this battle and also dented the fighting machine with its Fiery wave.

The Fighting Machine couldn't see this onslaught and gave a powerful Thunder Punch to the Trick Frog that managed to paralyze her, may be this could slow her down finally? But no it doesn't, She strikes yet again with a Torrent boosted Hydro Pump that makes the Fighting Machine realize the true power of the Ninja. The Crit Krow being away from all damage this round, coolly tries its Fiery Wave again, but the Fighting Machine's resilience makes him avoid the crit and the burn.

This looks devastating folks and the challenger has already lost half his team, and his Fighting Machine seems a lot dented too, could he do something this battle? Atleast a KO? to keep his pride and the honor of his fallen team mates? Only time would tell...

Also depends on the mood of the Gym Leader, but if I was the challenger I wouldn't expect anything from a Dark Lord; other than sheer brutality and pain, loads of it.

Round 3: The power of a Paralyzed Ninja:

The Axe Jaw Dragon comes into the field to aid his dented comrade Anubis the Fighting Machine. But the challenger has a difficult road ahead with Skill Frog still on the field. The fighting machine tries to Thunder Punch the frog again, but the paralyzed Frog still leaps quickly into the ground digging a hole for itself to avoid both the Axe Jaw Dragon's Rock Slide and the Fighting Machine's Thunder Punch.

Despite all his attempts to flinch the foes, the Axe Jaw Dragon managed to do so on once instance only. Only when he knew that his end was near, he put much effort into his attack and managed to finally flinch the Skill Frog. But with all his team mates packed up into their pokeballs. It is only time that Frodo the Axe Jaw Dragon finds his way there.

The Gym Leader has shown great skill and commitment during this battle, but the question is; will he allow the challenger to get a KO to keep his honor? Or will he be the true dark lord and annihilate his opponent? Stay tuned folks as the end is near and there is something that opens in the end.

Round 4: Flawless!

This battle has seen some amazing plays by the Gym Leader, He was totally in control of the battle from the start to the finish; while Annihilating the challenger and his pokemon on his way to a Flawless victory. Let this be an example for those who wish to challenge the dark lord and are not ready to face pain and devastation in return.

The challenger did show a lot of potential, but he was totally outclassed in the doubles format by the Gym Leader. Also the fact that he left the skill Ninja on the field for the entire battle proved very costly for him. Maybe, he would learn from this fall and come back yet again to challenge the Dark Gym.
Until next time, Adios Amigos!
A strange finish: The Gym Leader started this battle with Saxton the Colossoil and Hanako the Greninja, he also ended the battle with them. Are these two the most devastating Lieutenants of the Dark Lord? Hmm...
