[OVERVIEW]

Darmanitan is one of the fastest and strongest Choice Scarf users in RU. It gets the jump on most other Choice Scarf users such as Rotom-C, Togekiss, and Gardevoir, and its power takes advantage of teams relying on frailer Fire-type checks like Noivern and Flygon, which get 2HKOed by Flare Blitz. Trick is phenomenal utility for crippling switch-ins such as Milotic and Rhyperior, as well as bulky setup sweepers like Reuniclus and Suicune. However, its Stealth Rock weakness in conjunction with Flare Blitz recoil can wear it down quickly, which greatly limits its revenge killing opportunities and leaves it vulnerable to priority. Choice Scarf Darmanitan also fails to outspeed one of the most common Choice Scarf users, Flygon. Alternatively, Darmanitan can run a Heavy-Duty Boots set and mercifully circumvent its Stealth Rock weakness, which makes it a more effective pivot and wallbreaker. However, without Choice Scarf, Darmanitan gets revenge killed by common faster Pokemon such as Flygon, Cobalion, and Noivern. Despite its massive power, there are Pokemon capable of standing up to Darmanitan: primarily bulky Water-types such as Milotic, Seismitoad, and Gastrodon, but also Pokemon like Rhyperior.

move 2: U-turn
move 3: Trick
move 4: Rock Slide / Earthquake

Darmanitan's massive offensive presence forces a lot of switches and U-turn exploits its few sturdy switch-ins. Trick can cripple switch-ins such as Milotic, Vaporeon, and Gastrodon and bulky setup sweepers such as Reuniclus and Snorlax. Further, stealing useful items like Heavy-Duty Boots and Leftovers can help circumvent its lack of longevity. Rock Slide and Earthquake both hit Fire-types such as Volcanion, Chandelure, and Incineroar, but Rock Slide KOes Noivern after minimal chip damage and Earthquake hits Rock-types like Rhyperior and Diancie.

Darmanitan's Stealth Rock weakness requires entry hazard removers such as Dhelmise, Starmie, Crobat, and Flygon. Darmanitan pairs excellently with Raikou, Rotom-C, and Xurkitree, forming VoltTurn cores. Further, Darmanitan is good at luring in Water-types such as Milotic and Gastrodon, while the Electric-types are good at luring in Grass-types like Roserade and Celebi. Celebi and Roserade can switch into the Water-type Pokemon that Darmanitan struggles with. Teammates such as Cobalion and Metagross love Trick crippling bulky Water-type walls they may struggle with. Darmanitan also pairs well with wallbreakers such as Obstagoon, which can soften Rock-types like Diancie and Rhyperior, and Choice Band Flygon, which can 2HKO bulky Water-types like Milotic and Gastrodon. Bulky Water-types like Jellicent and Milotic can answer Rock-types for Darmanitan.

[SET COMMENTS]

Darmanitan's massive threat level translates into it being a solid wallbreaker and pivot, taking advantage of its limited switch-ins like Milotic, Seismitoad, and Gastrodon via U-turn and Toxic. Rock Slide hits Fire-types such as Volcanion, Chandelure, and Incineroar, as well KOing Noivern after minimal chip damage Earthquake hits the aforementioned Fire-types and is specifically useful to hit Rhyperior and Diancie. Heavy-Duty Boots is critical to Darmanitan's pivoting, given its Stealth Rock weakness and unavoidable Flare Blitz recoil.

Raikou, Rotom-C, and Xurkitree are phenomenal VoltTurn partners alongside Darmanitan. They can bait in Grass-types like Roserade and Vileplume, and in return, Darmanitan lures in Water-types such as Milotic, Suicune, and Vaporeon, which the Electric-types scare out, as well as Gastrodon and Seismitoad, which Xurkitree and Rotom-C scare courtesy of their Grass-type coverage. Roserade and Celebi are good to answer the bulky Water-types that Darmanitan struggles with. Darmanitan crippling Milotic and Gastrodon with Toxic can assist Metagross, Flygon, and Swords Dance Cobalion in breaking through them. Crobat and Noivern are solid alongside Darmanitan to lure in Steel-types such as Registeel and Metagross for it via U-turn. Water-types like Milotic, Seismitoad, and Jellicent can assist Darmanitan against Rock-types.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
Life Orb or Choice Band can make Darmanitan even more powerful, allowing it to 2HKO most Water-types with fairly minimal chip damage, but it's already very strong without them. Both items also require notably more team support. Superpower over Darmanitan's fourth move hits Snorlax and Guzzlord super effectively, but this leaves it walled by Chandelure, neither Guzzlord nor Snorlax is common enough to warrant running Superpower for, and U-turn already wears Guzzlord down quickly. Darmanitan can run a Belly Drum sweeper set with Salac Berry. However, it rarely finds good conditions to sweep, as it is prone to many priority moves such as Golisopod's First Impression, Mimikyu's Shadow Sneak, and Lucario's Extreme Speed revenge killing it, as well as Choice Scarf Flygon. Haze Milotic can also effectively stifle Darmanitan if switched in before it has set up.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Water-types**: Milotic, Vaporeon, Gastrodon, and Jellicent are the best countermeasures to Darmanitan; however, Trick cripples them all horrendously and Toxic does a great job at limiting their defensive capabilities. Vaporeon is a more distinct threat to Heavy-Duty Boots Darmanitan, as it can shrug off Toxic with Heal Bell.

**Rock-types**: Rhyperior and Diancie thwart Darmanitan's Flare Blitz; however, they both fear Trick and Diancie fears Earthquake. Rhyperior is only 4HKOed by Earthquake, making it a solid check.

**Fire-types**: Incineroar and Volcanion can swap into Darmanitan's Flare Blitz and scare it out, though neither switch in safely due to Darmanitan's coverage and Toxic.

**Faster Pokemon**: Heavy-Duty Boots Darmanitan's Speed tier and miserable bulk, coupled with Flare Blitz recoil, make it extremely easy to revenge kill with many faster Pokemon such as Cobalion, Raikou, and Noivern. Choice Scarf Flygon outspeeds even Choice Scarf Darmanitan and OHKOes with Earthquake.

**Dragon-types**: While 2HKOed by Flare Blitz, Noivern and Flygon can swap into and check Heavy-Duty Boots Darmanitan. Guzzlord isn't 2HKOed by any move; however, repeated U-turns wear it down quickly.

[OVERVIEW]

  • Darmanitan is a solid Choice Scarf user in RU with its immense power its good at taking, being able to take advantage of teams that rely on frailer Fire resists like Noivern and Flygon because those are that get 2HKOed by Flare Blitz.
  • Alternatively Darmanitan can run a much more niche Heavy-duty boots (fix) set which has the excellent advantage of bypassing (maybe a word like circumventing is better here? idk sounds weird now tho) its Stealth Rock weakness and consequently does not need to be supported with hazard removal, however However, Darmanitan's average speed tier and low bulk mean that its pretty easy to out offense and revenge kill with leaves it susceptible to many faster Pokemon such as Mimikyu Flygon, Cobalion, and Noivern. (mmq's quite weak and cant even ohko darm without boosts)
  • Despite its massive power, (AC) there are Pokemon capable of standing up to Darmanitan, primarily bulky Water-types such as Milotic, Vaporeon, and Gastrodon which all fear Trick and Toxic but are all great checks nonetheless. (you go on to mention this in checks and counters anyways, and its better to make it a clear negative in the overview).
  • Darmanitan's poor bulk and lack of defensive utility leave it often reliant on VoltTurn from its teammates for opportunities. (remove this point because its a revenge killer most of the time anyways, which means that those dont rly matter. this makes it sound more of a wallbreaker which it kinda isnt).
  • Choice Scarf Darmanitan's Stealth Rock weakness in conjunction with Flare Blitz recoil can leave it warn wear it down quickly, this means that Darmanitan should be supported with good hazard removal, which thankfully isn't a strenuous requirement given RU's consistent hazard removal options. (this goes in the team support description under sets).

  • Darmanitan's massive offensive presence makes it good at at (remove one at) using U-turn to exploit its few sturdy switch-ins.
  • Trick can horribly cripple switch-ins to Darmanitan such as Milotic, Snorlax, and Gastrodon, and the potential benefit of stealing Heavy-Duty-Boots or Leftovers can help circumvent Darmanitan's lack of longevity.
  • Rock Slide and Earthquake both hit Fire-types such as Volcanion, Chandelure, and Incineroar. Rock Slide gives Darmanitan means to threaten Noivern more immediately without recoil and to OHKO Talonflame. (considering ur main move blitz 2hkos vern, and ure faster with scarf, i think talking about lack of recoil is way more impt). Earthquake is useful for a 2HKO onto Stakataka and Diancie which are both not 2HKOed by Flare Blitz.
  • Superpower allows Darmanitan to threaten 2HKO Snorlax outside of Trick taking a 2HKO, though running Superpower leaves Darmanitan but leaves it walled by Flash Fire Chandelure.

  • Darmanitan's Stealth Rock weakness is really less than ideal, as such Darmanitan should be paired with hazard removal options such as Rapid Spin Dhelmise, or Starmie, or Defog Flygon. Dhelmise, Starmie, and Flygon. Magic Bounce Xatu can also do the trick by preventing hazards in the first place.
  • Darmanitan pairs excellently with Raikou and Xurkitree, when paired with either one of them they can create a VoltTurn core, Darmanitan is good at luring in Water-types, and the Electric-types in return are good at luring in Grass-types.
  • Celebi and Roserade can act as switch-ins to the Water-type Pokemon that Darmanitan struggles with.
  • Darmanitan's ability to Trick and cripple bulky Water-type walls can be taken advantage of by teammates such as Cobalion and Metagross that may struggle with these walls.

  • Darmanitan's massive threat level translates into it being a solid wallbreaker and pivot, able to take advantage of its limited switch-ins via U-turn and Toxic.
  • Toxic is critical to cripple switch-ins capable of taking Flare Blitz and Darmanitan's coverage, those Switch-ins being such as Milotic and Gastrodon.
  • Rock Slide hits Fire-types such as Volcanion, Chandelure, and Incineroar, as well giving Darmanitan means to threaten Noivern more immediately without recoil and OHKO Talonflame. (same as the other set)
  • Earthquake hits the aforementioned Fire-types bar Talonflame, and is specifically useful for a 2HKO onto the Rock-types to 2HKO Stakataka and Diancie.
  • Superpower slams Snorlax which can otherwise take on Darmanitan due to Thick Fat, and Rest to shrug off Toxic, however running Superpower leaves Darmanitan walled by Flash Fire Chandelure. (change it to the same as the previous set, theres too much fluff).
  • Heavy-duty boots (fix) are critical to Darmanitan's function as a pivot, lest it be it would be warn down by Stealth Rock even more quickly than it already is in conjunction with Flare Blitz recoil.

  • Roserade and Celebi make good teammates able to answer the Bulky (lowercase b) Water-types that Darmanitan struggles with.
  • Darmanitan's ability to fairly reliably cripple Milotic and Gastrodon with Toxic can assist Swords Dance Cobalion in breaking them. (would prefer another set up sweeper being listed alongside coba, maybe smth like mmq).
  • Crobat is solid alongside Darmanitan because it can lure Steel-types for it via U-turn.

  • Darmanitan can run a Salac Berry, Substitute, Belly Drum set, with Fire Punch and Earthquake as the attacks. This set can attempt to sweep, however this is generally a bad idea because Darmanitan is extremely inconsistent at sweeping. After Darmanitan has been put into Salac Berry range its liable to be revenge killed by many priority moves such as Golisopod's First Impression, Mimikyu's Shadow Sneak, Lucario's Extreme Speed, and Darmanitan is also revenge killed by the common Choice Scarf Flygon. Haze Milotic can also check Darmanitan if it switched in on a none Belly Drum move. On top of these issues Darmanitan has to actually find set up opportunity which it can't always find especially versus more offensive teams.
  • Darmanitan can run a Belly Drum set with Salac Berry, which allows it to sweep in the right conditions. However, it does not manage to find such situations often, as it is prone to being revenge killed by many priority moves such as Golisopod's First Impression, Mimikyu's Shadow Sneak, and Lucario's Extreme Speed, as well as Choice Scarf Flygon. Haze Milotic can also effectively neuter Darmanitan if switched in before it has set up.
(i got lazy to change part by part so i just retyped ur stuff with the same info but removed fluff. shifted some pts order and condensed info).

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Water-types**: Milotic, Vaporeon, and Gastrodon are the best countermeasures to Darmanitan fearing little outside Trick, which admittedly cripples them terribly and Toxic. Milotic and Gastrodon can stand up to the Heavy-Duty Boots set very well, though they of course don't appreciate Toxic. Vaporeon is a more distinct threat to Darmanitan as it can shrug off Toxic with Heal Bell.

**Fire-types**: Incineroar and Volcanion can swap into Darmanitan's Flare Blitz and scare it out, though neither switch in safely due to Darmanitan's coverage and Toxic. Flash Fire Chandelure walls Darmanitan if it elects to run Superpower for Snorlax, though its potential Stealth Rock weakness and Toxic vulnerability do not make it insurmountable for Heavy-Duty-Boots Darmanitan to get past can hinder its effectiveness.

**Faster Pokemon**: Heavy-Duty Boots Darmanitan's average speed tier and miserable bulk, coupled with Flare Blitz recoil, make it extremely easy to revenge kill with many faster Pokemon such as Cobalion, Raikou, and Noivern, while none of them may be able to OHKO a healthy Darmanitan Flare Blitz recoil can often put it in range.

**Dragon-types**: Noivern and Utility Flygon while they are 2HKOd by Flare Blitz While 2HKO'ed by Flare Blitz, Noivern and Flygon can swap into and check Heavy-Duty Boots Darmanitan. This can make Darmanitan aggressively predict with Toxic or Rock Slide to try and get past them which is of course exploitable. (fluff).

**Snorlax**: Snorlax's ability too sweep is ruined horrendously by Trick and it fears superpower run specifically for it, however outside of these Snorlax is a solid check to Darmanitan due to Thick Fat, Rest to shrug off Toxic, and it can set up in Darmanitan's face with Curse. While Snorlax is a solid check to Darmanitan due to Thick Fat, it has to be wary of Trick, Toxic, and the rare Superpower.

[OVERVIEW]

Darmanitan is a solid one of the fastest Choice Scarf users user in RU and with its immense power, being able to it can take advantage of teams that rely on frailer Fire resists like Noivern and Flygon that get 2HKOed by Flare Blitz. (Outspeeding most Scarfers is pretty big for Darmanitan. After this, add how it has excellent utility in Trick, which cripples its switch-ins and bulky setup sweepers.) Alternatively, (AC.) Darmanitan can run a much more niche Heavy-Duty Boots set, (AC.) which has the excellent advantage of circumventing its Stealth Rock weakness. (AP.) ( Yeah sure, Boots prevents Rocks damage and it's SR weak, but what does that do for Darmanitan? HDB Darmanitan is a better wallbreaker and offensive pivot, as it doesn't have limited switches due to hazards.) However, Darmanitan's average (Only 10 Pokemon in the S-B+ ranks outspeed Darmanitan, so I don't think "average" is correct here. Maybe just say "However, without Choice Scarf, Darmanitan is susceptible to be revenge killed by common faster Pokemon such as...") speed Speed tier leaves it susceptible to many faster Pokemon such as Flygon, Cobalion, and Noivern. Despite its massive power, there are Pokemon capable of standing up to Darmanitan, primarily bulky Water-types such as Milotic, Seismitoad Vaporeon (Personal thing, but I like to keep the OP RU only when possible.), and Gastrodon. ("Primarily" makes it sound to me that you'll go on to mention other Pokemon than bulky Waters. So, you can add Rhyperior here too, something like "but also Pokemon like Rhyperior".) Choice Scarf Darmanitan's Stealth Rock weakness in conjunction with Flare Blitz recoil can wear it down quickly, which greatly limits how often it can get in to revenge kill and leaves it vulnerable to priority. (Mention how it's outsped by one of the most common Scarfers in Flygon. Also, this should be moved further up, before you talk about bulky Water-types because that's a problem to both sets so makes to have that last.)

(Add mention of how either Life Orb or Choice Band can be used for more power, but the extra damage isn't noteworthy enough to not use Choice Scarf or not take SR with HDB. Also, you can add Superpower here and explain how it hits Snorlax and Guzzlord for a huge amount of damage, but leaves you walled by Chandelure and that the targets aren't even common enough to be worth it.)
Darmanitan can run a Belly Drum set with Salac Berry, which allows it to sweep in the right conditions. However, it does not manage to find such situations often, as it is prone to being revenge killed by many priority moves such as Golisopod's First Impression, Mimikyu's Shadow Sneak, and Lucario's Extreme Speed, as well as Choice Scarf Flygon. Checks and Counters

**Bulky Water-types**: Milotic, Vaporeon, Gastrodon, and Jellicent are the best countermeasures to Darmanitan fearing little outside Trick and Toxic (This makes it sound like neither is a big deal, which is opposite of the truth. Reword this to better reflect this.).

Flash Fire Chandelure walls Darmanitan if it elects to run Superpower for Snorlax, though its potential Stealth Rock weakness and Toxic vulnerability can hinder its effectiveness. (No Superpower. Move this below Rock-types, as they are better switch-ins.)

**Rock-types**: Rhyperior and Diancie thwart Darmanitan's Flare Blitz, however, (AC.) they both fear Trick and Diancie fears Earthquake, and Rhyperior is only 4HKOed by Earthquake making it a solid check.

**Faster Pokemon**: Heavy-Duty Boots Darmanitan's average speed Speed tier and miserable bulk, coupled with Flare Blitz recoil, make it extremely easy to revenge kill with many faster Pokemon such as Cobalion, Raikou, and Noivern.

**Dragon-types**: While 2HKO'ed 2HKOed by Flare Blitz, Noivern and Flygon can swap into and check Heavy-Duty Boots Darmanitan. (Add mention of Guzzlord, it isn't 2HKOed though gets quickly worn down by repeated U-turn.)

**Snorlax**: While Snorlax is a solid check to Darmanitan due to Thick Fat, it has to be wary of Trick, Toxic, and the rare Superpower. (Snorlax is a pretty awful answer to Darmanitan to have its own mention because if SR are up it can only switch in twice on U-turn before it's 2HKOed by Flare Blitz. I would say remove it entirely though that's up to you, as it can switch in on Flare Blitz quite comfortably.)

Implement and I'll take another look before QC 2/2.

GoldCat Ready, hope I didn't miss anything and as a disclaimer I may not get back to this for a bit.

I would like to note a few things, I couldn't think of good examples to mention with Cobalion, best I could come up with is Rhyperior which is awkward since Rhyperior can beat Gastrodon pretty easily without Toxic. I decided to keep Snorlax because it is effective be it limited in that regard at keeping Darmanitan in check I elaborated on why its a poor answer more.

Flygon and Metagross are some examples I can think of. While it doesn't need Toxic to get past Gastrodon, Rhyperior definitely appreciates it when it comes to the other bulky Waters, so you could mention it too. Really any mon that struggles with Waters and could feasible pair with Darmanitan fits here.

Crobat and Noivern are solid alongside Darmanitan because they can lure Steel- and Rock-types such as Registeel, Diancie, and Rhyperior for it via U-turn. Water-types like Milotic, Seismitoad, and Jellicent can assist Darmanitan against Rock-types.
Why would you want to lure Rock-types like Rhyperior for Darmanitan? I think you got it mixed up when I said "Also, add mention of Rock-type answers like above with the Scarf set.". You did correctly add answers to Rock-types afterward, but they seem to have snuck in the Crobat and Noivern mentions. Just remove that and mention only Steel-types. Though you could add how Darmanitan can badly poison Rhyperior/Diancie for Crobat and Noivern.

Well done, 2/2

[OVERVIEW]

Darmanitan is one of the fastest and strongest Choice Scarf users in RU and with its immense power it can take advantage of teams that rely on frailer Fire resists like Noivern and Flygon that get 2HKOed by Flare Blitz. Choice Scarf Darmanitan gets the jump on most other Choice Scarf users such as Rotom-C, Togekiss, and Gardevoir. RU. Choice Scarf Darmanitan's However, its Stealth Rock weakness in conjunction with Flare Blitz recoil can wear it down quickly, which greatly limits how often it can get in to revenge kill its revenge killing opportunities and leaves it vulnerable to priority. Choice Scarf Darmanitan also fails to outspeed one of the most common Choice Scarf users, Flygon. Alternatively, Darmanitan can run a Heavy-Duty Boots set, that has the excellent advantage of circumventing set and mercifully circumvent its Stealth Rock weakness, which makes it a more effective pivot and wallbreaker. However, without Choice Scarf, (AC) Darmanitan is liable to be gets revenge killed by common faster Pokemon such as Flygon, Cobalion, and Noivern. Despite its massive power, there are Pokemon capable of standing up to Darmanitan: (comma -> colon) primarily bulky Water-types such as Milotic, Seismitoad, and Milotic, Vaporeon, (or something else) but also Pokemon like Rhyperior.

Darmanitan's massive offensive presence forces a lot of switches and can use U-turn to exploit U-turn exploits its few sturdy switch-ins. Trick can cripple switch-ins to Darmanitan such as Milotic, Vaporeon, and Gastrodon and bulky setup sweepers such as Reuniclus and Snorlax, and the potential benefit of Snorlax. Further, stealing useful items like Heavy-Duty Boots (removed second hyphen) and Leftovers can help circumvent its lack of longevity. Rock Slide and Earthquake both hit Fire-types such as Volcanion, Chandelure, and Incineroar, but Rock Slide KOes Noivern after minimal chip damage and Earthquake hits Rock-types like Rhyperior and Diancie.

Darmanitan's Stealth Rock weakness is less than ideal, as such Darmanitan should be paired with hazard removal options requires entry hazard removers such as Dhelmise, Starmie, Crobat, and Flygon. Darmanitan pairs excellently with Raikou, Rotom-C, and Xurkitree, when paired with either one of them they can create a VoltTurn core, Xurkitree, forming VoltTurn cores. Further, Darmanitan is good at luring in Water-types such as Milotic and Gastrodon, while the Electric-types are good at luring in Grass-types like Roserade and Celebi. Celebi and Roserade can act as switch-ins to switch into the Water-type Pokemon that Darmanitan struggles with. Darmanitan's ability to Trick and cripple bulky Water-type walls can be taken advantage of by teammates such as Cobalion and Metagross that may struggle with these walls. Teammates such as Cobalion and Metagross love Trick crippling bulky Water-type walls they may struggle with. Darmanitan also pairs well with wallbreakers such as Obstagoon and Choice Band Flygon, the former Obstagoon, which can soften Rock-types like Diancie and Rhyperior, while the latter Rhyperior, and Choice Band Flygon, which can 2HKO bulky Water-types like Milotic and Gastrodon. Bulky Water-types like Jellicent and Milotic can answer Rock-types for Darmanitan.

[SET COMMENTS]

Darmanitan's massive threat level translates into it being a solid wallbreaker and pivot, able to take taking advantage of its limited switch-ins like Milotic, Seismitoad, and Gastrodon via U-turn and Toxic. Toxic is critical to cripple switch-ins such as Milotic, Seismitoad, and Gastrodon. Rock Slide hits Fire-types such as Volcanion, Chandelure, and Incineroar, as well giving Darmanitan means to KO KOing Noivern after minimal chip damage. (added hyphen) Earthquake hits the aforementioned Fire-types and is specifically useful to hit Rhyperior and Diancie. Heavy-Duty Boots are is critical to Darmanitan's function as a pivot, lest it be it would be worn down by Stealth Rock even more quickly than it already is in conjunction with pivoting, given its Stealth Rock weakness and unavoidable Flare Blitz recoil.

Raikou, Rotom-C, and Xurkitree are phenomenal VoltTurn partners alongside Darmanitan, as they are able to create a VoltTurn core, the Electric-types Darmanitan. They can bait in Grass-types like Roserade and Vileplume, and in return, Darmanitan is good at luring lures in Water-types such as Milotic, Suicune, and Vaporeon, which the Electric-types scare out, as well as Gastrodon and Seismitoad, which Xurkitree and Rotom-C scares courtesy of their Grass-type coverage. Roserade and Celebi make good teammates able are good to answer the bulky Water-types that Darmanitan struggles with. Darmanitan's ability to cripple crippling Milotic and Gastrodon with Toxic can assist Metagross, Flygon, and Swords Dance Cobalion in breaking through them. Crobat and Noivern are solid alongside Darmanitan because they can lure to lure in Steel-types such as Registeel and Metagross for it via U-turn. Water-types like Milotic, Seismitoad, and Jellicent can assist Darmanitan against Rock-types.

Other Options
=============
Life Orb or Choice Band can make Darmanitan even more powerful, (AC) allowing it to 2HKO most Water-types with fairly minimal chip, however the additional damage of these items isn't noteworthy enough to not use Heavy-Duty Boots or Choice Scarf. Both Life Orb and Choice Band make Darmanitan higher maintenance and worse team players, either being a less effective pivot than Heavy-Duty Boots or an ineffective revenge killer compared to Choice Scarf. chip damage, but it's already very strong without them. Both items also require much more team support. (tinker word choice/wording for things like this if desired) Superpower over Darmanitan's 4th move allows it to hit fourth move hits Snorlax and Guzzlord super effectively, but this leaves Darmanitan it walled by Chandelure, neither Guzzlord or Snorlax are nor Snorlax is common enough to warrant running Superpower for, and Guzzlord is already warn down by U-turn U-turn already wears Guzzlord down quickly. Darmanitan can run a Belly Drum sweeper set with Salac Berry, which allows it to sweep in the right conditions. However, it does not manage to find such situations often, rarely finds good conditions to sweep, as it is prone to being revenge killed by many priority moves such as Golisopod's First Impression, Mimikyu's Shadow Sneak, and Lucario's Extreme Speed revenge killing it, as well as Choice Scarf Flygon. Haze Milotic can also effectively neuter stifle Darmanitan if switched in before it has set up.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Bulky Water-types**: Milotic, Vaporeon, Gastrodon, and Jellicent are the best countermeasures to Darmanitan, however they're all crippled horrendously by Trick Darmanitan; however, Trick cripples them all horrendously and Toxic does a great job at limiting their defensive capabilities. Vaporeon is a more distinct threat to Heavy-Duty Boots Darmanitan, (AC) as it can shrug off Toxic with Heal Bell.
