Darmanitan is a solid offensive Choice Scarf user because of its access to coverage moves, high Attack, and ability, Sheer Force. It'll most often be used as a sweeper that is able to take down weakened teams in the late game and sometimes as a quick pivot to get a better match up or to do chip damage. That being said, because of its offensive qualities, Darmanitan is typically used as a powerful wallbreaker rather than a pivot. Flare Blitz is Darmanitan's most important move. It's able to secure OHKOs on neutral targets such as Mew under sun. Rock Slide is used as coverage against Flying- and Fire-type teams, specific Pokemon include Rotom-H, Mantine, and Gyarados. Superpower can be used over Rock Slide to deal with Dark-types such as Hydreigon and Tyranitar. Earthquake is another great coverage move against Pokemon such as Toxapex, Cinderace, and Dragalge. The Jolly nature and EV spread is to ensure that Darmanitan is as fast and as powerful as possible to fit the sweeper role that it plays; specifically, a Jolly Choice Scarf Darmanitan outspeeds a Choice Scarf Excadrill. Sheer Force is used to boost its offensive capabilities.

Incineroar's Intimidate weakens foes such as Life Orb Gallade so Darmanitan can get off an attack. Furthermore, Incinieroar can let Darmanitan safely pivot in through Parting Shot while also further weakening foes. Torkoal synergizes extremely well with Darmanitan as it can set sun and give a Darmanitan a free switch in by using Yawn. Darmanitan, along with many of its teammates, are weak against Ground-types so Pokemon that are not affected by them such as Rotom-H and Charizard are greatly appreciated. Rotom-H can also create a volt turn core which creates momentums thanks to Volt Switch. Charizard on the other hand is able to threaten Dragon-types with Dragon Pulse specifically Choice Scarf Hydreigon for Darmanitan. Darmanitan also works well with Cinderace because of the large number of types that they can threaten thanks to their many coverage moves. Darmanitan's wallbreaking helps Volcarona get rid of its checks so it can set up and sweep. Finally, Salazzle can use Toxic, thanks to its ability, Corrosion, to help beat bulkier Pokemon such as Toxapex.

Darmanitan is a solid Choice Scarf user because of its access to U-turn, which makes it a great pivot, coverage moves, high Attack, and ability, Sheer Force. It'll most often be used as a sweeper that is able to take down weakened teams in the late game or a quick pivot to get a better match up or to do chip damage. Rock Slide or Stone Edge is used as coverage against Flying- and Fire-type teams, specific Pokemon include Mandibuzz, Volcarona, Mantine, Gyarados, and opposing Darmanitan Fire-types, which Fire teams may have trouble against. Earthquake is another great coverage move, specifically against Fire- and Rock-type teams that Fire teams may have trouble against. The Jolly nature and EV spread is to ensure that Darmanitan is as fast and as powerful as possible to fit the sweeper role that it plays. Darmanitan's main weakness is its lack of bulk and lack of different viable sets it can run often leading to opponents knowing that Darmanitan is a team's Choice Scarf user.
* Talk about how all of its offensive qualities make Darmanitan a powerful wall breaker rather than a pivot.
* Add a line on how picking Sheer Force boosts its offensive capabilities as its not Darmanitan's only available ability this gen, needs a mention.
* Perhaps add a line on how one should use Darmanitan in a game.

Darmanitan fits well on bulky offensive teams because its teammates are able to wear the opposing team down for Darmanitan so it can sweep. Pokemon that fit this archetype include Incineroar and Torkoal, both of which can set status and wear a team down so Darmanitan can easily come in and sweep in the late-game. Torkoal can also play multiple roles as a great bulky Stealth Rocker, Rapid Spinner, and sun setter making it a must on Fire teams. Darmanitan, along with many of its teammates, are weak against Ground-types so Pokemon that are not affected by them such as Rotom-H and Charizard are greatly appreciated. Darmanitan also works well with Cinderace, forming a U-turn core that can do consistent chip (Cinderace's main set no longer runs U-turn, your main focus here should be it's Bulk Up set threatening the vast majority of the metagame.) damage while also threatening opposing Pokemon with the large number of coverage moves between the two Pokemon.
* Talk about how Charizard is able to threaten Dragon-types with Dragon Pulse.
* Talk about how Rotom-H forms a momentum core with their volt turn.
* Talk about how Incineroar is a good partner. (Rather than just saying it is a good partner )
* Add Volcarona as a teammate that greatly benefits wallbreaking from Darmanitan.
* Add Salazzle as a teammate that can help beat bulkier Pokemon such as Toxapex.

- Need to have a line about Flare Blitz here, it's the most important move on the set. Definitely talk about all the OHKOs it gets especially under sun.

"Rock Slide is used as coverage against Flying- and Fire-type teams, specific Pokemon include Mandibuzz, Volcarona, Mantine, Gyarados and opposing Fire-types. "
- Specify things like Rotom-H, Mantine, and Gyarados in this. You already OHKO Volcarona and do more damage to Mandibuzz with Flare Blitz.

"Superpower can be used over Rock Slide to deal with Dark-types instead, but the Attack and Defense drop is horrible for a Choice Scarf set. "
- Name Hydreigon and Tyranitar as examples here. I wouldn't talk about the attack and defense drops, as they are irrelevant a majority of the time.

"Earthquake is another great coverage move, specifically against Fire- and Rock-type teams that Fire teams may have trouble against. "
- Name specific Pokemon like Toxapex, Cinderace, and Dragalge that you're hitting with Earthquake. Just saying Fire and Rock teams is too vague.

"The Jolly nature and EV spread is to ensure that Darmanitan is as fast and as powerful as possible to fit the sweeper role that it plays. Sheer Force is used rather than Zen Mode to boost its offensive capabilities."
- Give more detail on this and don't mention Zen Mode. Talk about outspeeding Choice Scarf Excadrill too for Jolly Choice Scarf; if you're bringing up EVs in a preview you should bring up specific examples where they come in handy.

Darmanitan's main weakness is its lack of bulk and lack of different viable sets it can run often leading to opponents knowing that Darmanitan is a team's Choice Scarf user.

Darmanitan fits well on bulky offensive teams because its teammates are able to wear the opposing team down for Darmanitan so it can sweep.
- Darmanitan makes Fire even more hyper offense because it's essentially just a glass cannon where you spam Flare Blitz to net as many kills as you can with Flare Blitz under sun.

Pokemon that fit this archetype include Incineroar and Torkoal, both of which can set status and wear a team down so Darmanitan can easily come in and sweep in the late-game. Incineroar's Intimidate weakens foes so Darmanitan can live as long as possible.
- Talk about specific examples where Incineroar's Intimidate comes in handy. I would just remove the line about status as it is pretty vague.

"Furthermore, Incinieroar can let Darmanitan safely pivot in through Parting Shot while also further weakening foes. Torkoal can also play multiple roles as a great bulky Stealth Rocker, Rapid Spinner, and sun setter making it a must on Fire teams. "
- Talk about Torkoal's relationship with Darmanitan more instead of to Fire teams. You shouldn't mention Stealth Rock unless they give specific KOs, which there aren't any notable at the top of my head. Emphasize Sun and Flare Blitz too, and talk about Yawn.

"Charizard on the other hand is able to threaten Dragon-types with Dragon Pulse for Darmanitan."
- Notable to mention Choice Scarf Hydreigon as something Charizard can outspeed over Darmanitan.
